  1. Reading the MSDS on the Super Tech TC-W3 I dont see any alcohol, so thats good.. I'm not a chemist, but I also don't see what is being used for anti-gel in gasoline. There is a trade secret additive, so no clue on what that could be. Doing a quick search I can't any commercially available anti-gel's for gas, only Diesel. The temps vary, but gas won't gel or freeze until well below -100*F, so the anti-gel additive in the TC-W3 is either for water or for the 2-stroke itself.. --- Update to the previous post... Maybe its the lack of sleep, but I'm not sure I follow...
  2. Good deal with the grease. I have seen amazing results with the Amsoil stuff, there for I only run it.. Once you find something you like its nice to stick with it. As far as the 2-stroke its a mixed bag. I agree its good cheap lube for a VP44, but is anti-gel for gas the same as anti-gel for diesel?I didn't think gas gelled, but it would freeze with water content.. So I would think anti-gel for gas is alcohol based.. but thats just an initial thought, research to follow.
  3. Correct, but the original question was how much boost can the stock fuel system handle... So turn up the boost, which takes fuel, until the fuel pressure drops.
  4. Then slowly turn the boost up until you drop below 10psi, or hit 30 psi of boost.. This is mopar1973man's, and is the best case scenario, but staying above 10 is crucial!
  5. Are you still running the stock LP?You really need a fuel psi gauge to accurately answer that question on fuel data alone, but for the turbo's sake I would keep it to about 30.
  6. The your probably fine.
  7. That's essentially what I am thinking. I am reading on the deletes, and will incorporate that logic.
  8. Thats more than a mile or two!!!
  9. That's fine for normal driving. What does it do when you tow?
  10. AD was offered in 05.5-07.4 Trucks; AE was offered in 07.45 (very few 5.9's have it)- current trucks.
  11. There are pros and cons to bypassing the factory cooler..Pros: The trans run cooler; trans wont heat coolant (thou this is a much smaller effect with an aux trans cooler)Cons: aux cooler becomes primary and needs to be much larger; the trans takes longer to warm-up.If you only tow with the truck a bypass may be a good idea, but if you still DD the truck I wouldn't bypass the OE cooler.
  12. I do mine every few months as well, especially now that it sits most of the time. I need to get out there and do all the door seals again too... And wax it.
  13. I bet I have 2-3 more years until I top 100K
  14. Down to the last 4 days, just a bump and a Thank You to the Admin!
  15. Yeah we have had some cool mornings too.. Really makes me love my little Man Wagon Jetta, with an alum 4-cyl and heated seats!! I can be sweating in the Jetta 4 miles before I stop shivering in the Dodge. As a gadget geek I am doing some reading on how to hook this up in my 3rd gen without a light. I really don't know when I would use the "ON" position, but I would use the "OFF" position quite a bit. Figure it will save wear and tear on the heater, alternator, and batteries.
  16. What about putting a speedi sleeve on it?
  17. Install looks good..Your psi is probably fine if you don't drop below 10 under normal driving/towing.. But if you drop below often I would get a different pump, much cheaper than a VP44.
  18. I don't think thats going to pass the safety committee.
  19. You probably need some sort of aux cooler, and/or the ability to lock the tq converter in 1st (if thats even an option)...The engine was most likely getting hot from the trans and the trans is cooled with the main radiator, so you were heating the coolant in the rad. We have had the trans overheat dad's 454 Burb several times, its the main reason my dad now drives an 06 Cummins with a G56.
  20. Sweet, can't wait to hear the results...
  21. I'd be interested to see how they hold up.. I am on my 3rd warranty replacement from SG. --- Update to the previous post... As far as rail pressure from the research I have done only the 06+ trucks can display this thru OBDII style codes. Fuel mileage is horribly inacurate with any OBDII reader on a HPCR as the gauges use LOD to determine the fuel rate.. but the HPCR uses load as FCA %age, so its not a very accurate representation of mileage. The only time I can calibrate mine and make it accurate is when I am towing heavy on the hwy for multiple tanks.. Put any idling or easy driving in there and its way off. The FCA can be fully closed and still meet the demands of the rail, but the gauges think your burning 0 fuel, thus getting 9999+ MPG's. With the updated Smarty software for K01 my LOD is more consistent and accurate, but still shows 0 LOD and 9999 MPG at real light throttle.
  22. How are you liking the new rig?
  23. Have you figured out if it will work yet?
  24. I agree with LiveOak.. but its looking like the new VP may be bad.
