  1. when temps dip below 30 i will NOT buy fuel unless it is at a truck stop, aka pilot, flying j, Travel America etc..... i have also taken to mixing power service with the treated fuel.... no issues since started doing this.... as to heating the fuel in the tank, the OTR trucks have coolant heaters for their tanks that plumb in and work with the block heaters. they keep both the engine and the fuel tank from freezing.... just food for thought...
  2. that is what they call te dang diaphram....... hmmmmm
  3. dinosaur digging.... mike can you please attempt to disassemble the rotor, http://forum.mopar1973man.com/uploads/monthly_01_2014/post-1-0-60023200-1390428263.jpg, and see if this large black piece is what industrial is calling the diaphram here:
  4. i have the pod, 3 of them actually switch the pods it doesnt change, try the junker quad i had you test it does? could it be another bad box? could i ship to you to try again? thanks brad
  5. nick- question? i have another quadzilla that doesnt change power levels. do you know if this means its dead? i seemed to recall a thread about this somewhere, but cannot find it..... i'm not looking for direct fix it help, but i would like to read about how to fix it if this thread does exist.
  6. http://www.autoamenity.com/Wheel-Simulators/Tire-Pressure-Equalizer.htm those with duallys have you ever considered one of these? they are avaiable for many pressure ratings and give you go/no go at a glance. the device has a built in indicator and fill port that tops the tires off through one fill port.

  8. iirc LMCTruck sells them... or Reese hitch company iirc does as well. if your looking for a kit that adds trailer brake functionality the dealer kit does this and isnt too bad to install yourself. i had to add it to mine to remove the PO's hack job wiring....
  9. this mod only works, tmk, on trucks with outboard mounted rotors, ie dont need to remove the wheel bearing to replace the rotor. to do the entire swap tou need: 2 disc setup: 2 rotors for 3rd gen, i used 2003 ram 2500 as refrence 1 set of pads for 3rd gen, again same truck. 1 front left, and 1 front right caliper mounting bracket, also for same truck. 4 disc setups with rear drum park brakes should consider replacing the parking brakes while in there... you will need 2 front and 2 rear rotors for 3rd gen trucks you will need 1 set of front and 1 set of rear brake pads and you will need 1 front left, 1 front right, and 2 rear caliper mounting brakets that is all the required parts. i am getting ready to do this swap this weekend, and ordered my caliper brackets from rockauto.com for ~$77. i bought the powerstop truck and tow brake kit from SummitRacing.com for pads and rotors and it was ~560 shipped. you can likely save ~$100 if you go with house brand parts at a box autoparts store, however i wanted the best brakes i could get. i will also be purchasing disc brake pin lube and parking brake shoes and hardware kit from advance auto for ~$50 just incase the park brakes look worn and need replacement. i will take pictures of the swap when it is done and as i go through it. and they will be posted to my truck mods page in the garage feature on here. brad
  10. https://quickserve.cummins.com/qs3/pubsys2/xml/en/bulletin/3666132.html i thought that was a good read.... https://www.fleetguard.com/pdfs/product_lit/emea_brochures/LI33030-GB.pdf same with that. cummins has changed thier recommendations on coolant. the first link on it cam straight from cummins quick serve for my esn.
  11. john deere likes to use similar tee fittings, and on them i have used a section of fuel line hose cut so i could just start the nut, and then crank it down. never had it leak yet.... and way cheaper then the stealership or cummins....
  12. CPP sells the donaldson filter too, just installed one on my truck last night.
  13. i have the hot unlock on my edge JWA and it doent add any more peak horsepower, but it does effect how fast it gets there..... it will be interesting to see how that goes with new injectors from CPP
