  2. Thanks IS this the tappet cover for standard 12v tho ? I heard that the 12v cover has a breather than you can use/modify to have another crankcase vent. http://www.puredieselpower.com/catalog/9498-dodge-59l-valve-cummins-diesel-tappet-cover-insulation-panel-p-25489.html
  3. Anyone know a good place to get these as well as the covers ? Assuming its just a straight gasket with essentially a dust cover on top ? Don't want billet but what's best ? W&f ? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?r3a3i0
  4. man whens this head coming off and pics coming on ?
  5. No kidding. A new engines only $5-7k right ? I dont have that much rust - hahahaha Still gotta put a new tranny in it and buy some chips and injectors and turbo and blah blah blah they should have bought a used built 05 for ~22k
  6. Did this today it's pretty easy in case anyone else needs Pull door and disconnect harness ^^^ Jump this with 12v to test motor ^^^^ Pull these two bolts for window frame and pull these four bolts for actuator motor ^^^^ Make sure windows taped up Remove window from frame by one nut each side ^^^^ Pull it all out through bottom and replace Done ;) Here's the part I used for drivers side around $75
  7. AWesome to see you here tony - youve always been good to deal with for products and info.
  8. I still have a cam here to do .... But kinda rethinking if it's worth it ... Thinking I might do twins instead .... Especially if you saw no egt reduction ... Sorry thinking out loud --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ie1sxz
  9. X2 with wild and and free Drop pan and check for material and fluid condition Then get under and rotate the flex plate through the inspection cover with a screwdriver Then just get a billet single or triple and a higher pressure vb Drop it and run like that you'll be at around 1k Then if still issues you will need a clutch refresh around 1500 --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5z3bsc
  10. I chased mine forever turned out to be the compressor ... $50 used off a wrecked truck and all good --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?u2t3mx
  11. Ok It's not relay as passenger side works fine And it's not the wiring as even with a constant 12v it hangs .... And then u wait 10 mins and it will go up another. 6 inches etc So how do you replace the window lift motor ? Thx --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.806292,-80.107888
  12. Ok relay is just on passenger side Which connection do I jump to create circuit for up and down ? Thx --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.806981,-80.107962
  13. Pic --- also - is there a relay assocaited with the windows ? thx
  14. Anyone know which wire needs 12v to control window up and same for down ? Trying to work out if it's my wiring or the solenoid/motor etc --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.807100,-80.107988
  15. I wouldnt mind a 200 degree tstatI swapped my oem out with a 170/175 (forget) .....but thinking going the other way (200) for non towing would help with mpg
  16. 1800 for fresh rebuild isn't terrible as it's a 10-14 hour job including tear down- the kits around 500 ..... Depends what they are doing with bands and apply lever and solenoids 2500-2700 for a semi built trans with single. Convertor you do the work4000-6000 for full build
  17. I'd say yours is slightly better even though it's a dually ..... Id definateky check on the mpg tho generally it's lower in hand calc than the overhead and that could mean other issues ....
  18. I loved my hx40 super ..... A tiny bit laggy at 1st gear but man it pulled hard should be fine
  19. I dunno.Id definately look into the p-pump. Huge power and easy tuning.Dont think its that expensive to convert - but not 100% sure. I see complete kits on CF often for around $1500-$1900 minus the pump.Your core would fetch some money and so would any electronic programmers which would be useless. So you may be in it for $3000 - then get $1000 back on vp stuff ...... so $2000 all up instead of $1000 vp.just a thought I have in back of my head if my vp ever goes ......
  20. Just didn't think that would make much diff ;)
  21. saw on a CF thread someone disconnects the front driveshaft on their 4x4 to pickup another 1;.5mpgwonder how that helps if the TranCase is in 2 hi ?
  22. yeah thats what I thoughtplus the IP is the same for the manuals (5 speed) and auto right - no differenceonly the HO output is different
  23. I would by a semi built truck of someone on the forum and gave it compression tested and the trans looked at .... And keep an extra couple grand to side
