Choosing the right turbo
Ok what is a VCO please? Another question for you. How are you getting the numbers for the injectors? What I mean, for example, is what does a 7x10 injector come out to be? Is it a 110? When you did yours I forgot to ask also did you machine the lower rocker arm cover at the No. 24 bolt hole location in the torque sequence to facilitate installation of the lower rocker arm cover? How did you do it? I am pricing the studs now is why I ask.

Oil pressure sending unit electrical problem (Knock on Wood, Solved!)
I just had to replace a pressure sending switch and thought I would share the differences. The old dirty one is from a 3500 I am working on. The other is one I ordered through Amazon that crossed referenced with the stock one, but Wow what a difference! It seems to work like the old one when I first bought it in 02 though. Lol I know some of you are going to say, “put a mechanical gauge in it”. Rest assure I intend to, but it is a waste unfortunately because none of my employees will watch gauges. Lol This is why I like the stock dash gauge because at least they hear the chime going off and then see the indicator light on the dash. Then they just complain to me the sound and light is annoying. Lol

oil pressure gauge
I want to check out oil pressure on a 01 Dodge 3500 because the stock gauge is erratic in the cab. It works good then drops, then works again on and off. I want to check it manually. I know that there is a 1/8x27 npt port on the oil filter housing I can tap into, but can I use a regular oil gauge I have here in the shop for testing purposes with the crappy plastic tubing just to check it? Its not going to be permanent of course. I think the gauge inside is shot, but just checking. Thanks, Steve

ATS Co-pilot or Firepunk Anteater?
Good Evening, I am wondering if anyone can tell me how they like the ATS copilot on there truck and how you basically use it towing? ATS website doesn't really go in depth about it. The 3500 in question I am thinking of adding the copilot to has a recently built Suncoast transmission with billet input, flexplate and Dynamic transmissions hauling valve body. Trying to see if it is actually worth getting and trying it for my company for towing purposes. I also ran into some posts on Firepunk Anteater. Does anyone have any input or have one that can share some input on it? Thanks for your time, Steve

Choosing the right turbo
Thank you ALL for your advice!!! This is a whole new ball game to me, this computerized stuff. I am trying to read and learn everyday on it. So, like all motors timing is the worst enemy. I am going through all the tunes posted looking for a good tune for towing a 16' trailer. I dont think I am ready yet to make my own. LOL

Choosing the right turbo
Ok thanks! What is conservative though?? Thanks! Still waiting on it. When you replaced your studs did you replace the studs one at a time or did you replace the gasket with it? I heard you could replace the studs one at a time without replacing the gasket, just have to follow the installation procedures. Thank you ALL for your advice!!!

Choosing the right turbo
Ok. I picked this one so I could possibly use it in a twin set up in the near future. If not, I will put it on one of the other 3500's.

Learning the Quadzilla V2
Thank you sooo much, I got that!! Now I have to figure out how to download a program. Trying to read it from your site, but still don't understand. I cant seem to download the" .net framework 3.5" they were suggesting, nor will it let me down load the other file?? I have a brand new com[puter with windows 10, maybe thats the issue? You hve any recommendations for a tune?? Thanks we seen that. It still is a bit confusing on how to download tunes. I got the wife looking at it now and the oldest and they are stumped. LOL I dont feel bad now. LOL

Learning the Quadzilla V2
Can someone answer some questions about this new Quadzilla IQuadbT I just installed on one of 01's please. I, for the love of God, can not figure it out. I installed everything exactly as the instructions said. I purchased a Android tablet Voyager 3 that has blue tooth, but had a problem connecting to the truck. I finally got that figured out, but the screen on the tablet only gives me RPM's and raises power levels up or down. The other gauges are not present?? Is this because I need a diffeent download? As for the downloading... I know I can download different tunes, but cant figure out how? I found a older post on here, but it confused me a little. I know i have to have something on my computer to load onto the Quadzilla. Sorry I am not good with computers!!

Turbo to T3 exhaust manifold gasket
Cool! I was guessing that. It just helps a little bit on my ole Wedge 540 to seal more. Thanks!!!
-
Choosing the right turbo
I also ordered the exhaust manifold and turbo blanket/soc to aid in heat reduction and a little extra boost. Well hopefully a hair boost. LOL

Turbo to T3 exhaust manifold gasket
I have a quick question. I use a header gasket and red RVT on my Dodge wedge 540 to seal the exhaust manifold to header. SO,when I change this old turbo out to my new one should I just replace the old metal gasket with a new one or should I use any RTV to seal it with a gasket? I am leaning not to use the silicone because of the turbo, but guessing?? Thanks, Steve

Choosing the right turbo
I ordered the AGP S300 SXE Wastegated 62/68/12cm.
-
Choosing the right turbo
Well I ordered the one we were discussing. The 62/68/12cm. I could not beat the price and it has to be better than the HY for what I do. I have other 01 3500’s I could try the other one on later.

Choosing the right turbo
I just read this. So, you are saying with just the 110 sticks a 68mm inducer wheel would not do me justice?? Just did a quick search and its saying it doesnt flow on the exhaust side like the S300 and you should port the wastegate hole. I dont know about that.

So you heard I can not use my stock rims? Dang! Did you use your stock tires and rims??

3rd or 4th Gen upgraded steering linkage? SAFETY RECALL (page two))
Has anyone done this swap to a 2nd Gen 01 Dodge 3500? I mean from the whole thing from tie rod to tie rods and bars. If so, did it work with simplicity or did you have to ream the knuckles out and get a different stabilizer set up? Thanks again!

Choosing the right turbo
Today, actually this afternoon when I get a chance. This 7 days a week work crap gets old, but money is good! LOL Deciding on gated or not? Tryting to do research on which is better for me for towing. It will either be the Borg Warner S362 SX-E 8376 62/68 13009097056 or Borg Warner / AGP S300 SXE Wastegated 2nd Gen Cummins BW-2GWG. Have any opinion on this?

Power tow mirrors with blinkers
WOW interesting. I never knew you could swap out mirrors from the 2nd Gen to a 3rd or 4th. I bought numerous 2nd Gen's for my other 01 3500's. Of course I went with stock non heated, because the heating part always seems to go out and employees tend to smash them off. A little cheaper on me. LOL I always liked like the newer styles. I might get a pair for my personal 01. Great to know and Thanks! Just one thing will my 01 wires work with the newer style wiring for heated mirrors?
