  1. Nice looking engine bay! What intake horn is that? Also, what's the hose coming out of the oil fill cap used for?
  2. I know there's lots of other (maybe even better) ways of setting up the rear end, but this works best for me now. I appreciate the input though guys.
  3. Well it's only 4 bolts to take them off so it's not difficult by any means. Once I lower the front an inch they'll more then likely stay on 24/7 because I should be able to run them without the spacer which will give me more clearance and better ride when empty and still not be nose high with a heavy load.
  4. Yea I mean they're not ideal for empty driving but they're also not horrible. I will more then likely remove then when I don't need them and install when I do.
  5. Yea I've driven it just about every day since install and haven't really noticed much of a difference. If I didn't know they were installed I would just assume that's how a 3/4 ton truck drove. I felt it rode just as bad before the install haha.

  9. What muffler do you use? I'm thinking that's what I'd go with too. 5in with maybe a 51' Donaldson.
  10. I guess my only worry is getting the 5in and having to put a muffler and resonator on it to keep it quiet! Or maybe I'm just asking too much! A good sounding exhaust that's loud enough to sound good but still hear people inside the cab haha
  11. because I didn't want to mess with airing up and down when I needed them. Don't tow often enough to warrant having them on the truck all the time, money lol just a few reasons

  13. Were these straight piped? Nice, what brand were you running? I've been eyeing MBRP just because the exhaust angle exit looks the easiest to eliminate or cut down on drone.

  16. With twins or single? What brand? I remember the video you posted, it definitely sounds quiet! How loud is it with just the resonator?
  17. Dont you put that compound evil on me! Hahah For now my plans are to upgrade to a 62/65/12 when the time comes. Not going to entertain twins until much further down the road. 5in from what I've heard is just loud, no getting around, except for twins as you mentioned. I'm not a big fan of exhausts muffled so I'd like to stick with 4in with a resonator, I think that'd be a good compromise. Also, here's what I'm working with so sorta limited.
  18. Funny you mention that about the o-rings, I thought the same thing when I took mine off. It's really led me to believe that fuel T had to be pretty beat up to be the cause of a leak.
  19. 5" is gonna be too loud! Although that's what I really want. I would just rather it be quiet enough to when I'm pulling a camper with the fam, we can actually have a conversation lol! I was planning on a 4in with resonator.
  20. Nice, I'll look into that. No access to a welder so I'll check out tiger tape. I'd love to use this an excuse to get a new exhaust but I can't throw anymore money at the truck for a bit haha
  21. Well, was crawling around under the truck installing my Timbren's noticed two holes in the exhaust. Maybe a BB size hole in a couple of the welded seams. Is this something I should change out sooner then later? Or would I be good waiting until I get around to it?

  23. Yea I've read the same. For me, worst case scenario is just taking them off when not towing and installing when I am. The more miles I put on them the more I'll tell how bad the empty ride is.
  24. Well guys, I know the majority of you prefer to level your truck by hooking up a trailer or getting a bed full of stuff. For some, that doesn't cut it. I'm a bit in between, as I don't mind the rake, but I don't like the full stock rake. Anyways, Timbrens are what I decided to go with mainly for the simplistic concept. Took all of 8 bolts to unintall the old bump stops and put the new Timbrens in their place. This shows the comprison without the extra 1in spacer Timbren supplies as well. I did end up installing that as well. Installed, kinda hard to see. Measurements were taken in my sloped driveway so I feel they won't be quite as close on a flatter surface. Either way I took the truck for a drive and it doesn't feel any more harsh then it did before, so still need more time to decide if it degrades the ride quality, although I'm not sure that ever existed empty. btw, I chose to add the space in mine and make the bump stops closer only to help keep the truck stay more level or slight forward rake when loaded. If empty ride is that bad I'll either take the spacer out or take the Timbrens out all together if I'm not towing.
