  2. fyi for you folks...titan make aftermarket bigger fuel tanks.http://www.titanfueltanks.com/default.htm
  3. so what kind of egt's do you see with the edge turned off?
  4. yup '07.5 started the 6.7
  5. i have lines that i work on at the refinery that heat up and cool down every single day....we install steel gaskets on these lines because they will reach up 910* and when they get down with the line it is cooled down and when stuff cools down it relaxes..and whatever temp it is outside the line is the same temp..and so instead of in stalling b7m studs..we install b16 studs for the strength,stretching, and have a higher heat tolerance.
  6. why is that doing that?i previewed every pic after submitting it and now that i am done.they are not showing up:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: --- Update to the previous post... there they are..... --- Update to the previous post... don't see them again..what is up??????????????? --- Update to the previous post... --- Update to the previous post... need to get these 6 items in!!
  7. sure.... a union!!:thumbup2: --- Update to the previous post... http://www.swagelok.com/products/fittings.aspx i use this stuff all the time at work...1/4" to 3/4" tubing>>well stainless steel...work at a refinery. --- Update to the previous post... http://www.swagelok.com/products/valves.aspx how about some cool valves:thumbup2:
  8. what i thought..never seen/heared of a 5.9 getting that terrible of mileage....6.7's started in '07.5:thumbup2::thumbup2:
  9. ok..my opinon is like a welding rod 6010 stands for 60,000 lbs of tensile strength and a very brittle rod...7018 stands for 70,000 lbs of tensile strength and is a way better rod for welding stuff up...all studs,bolts ,fasteners have a tensile strength. i know john force making 8,000 h.p. isn't running stock bolts for clamping...or sled pullers running 50 to 150 p.s.i. of boost.....just saying a worth

  11. i have yet to take a long trip to burn a full tank of fuel..like interstate..cruise on..so back and fourth to work..which is 20 miles away one way and then get shut off and warm ups in the morning..the best i have gotten is 320 miles on a half of a tank...i don't think that is bad for an automatic truck..well what is in the sig..and just put the grid heater delete and ats arc flow on yesterday..so may improve alittle(and maybe alittle more when the new rv275's get installed).
  12. i run the smarty on #8..t.m.#1.....timing on #2....and the duration on#1....and the edge juice w/att. on #2(which is tow) and the low end responsiveness on highest..so that is 2x5 on you folkses drag boxes...and the new installed items are sweet...very very touchy throttle...and very responsive..even with factory turbo,exhaust manifold,and stock injectors...you'll like if ya get that stuff..the ats arc flow has 5 ports for boost,water/meth,n.o.s.,propane,and the come with 5 pipe plugs to plug 'em if you need to!!:thumbup2:
  13. i wouldn't recommend bully dog...cuz they fuel all at once..not graduly like other programmers..the opposite of dumby programmer or .the green programmer made down in florida...are highly recommended..i have used them both for years...if he idles alot the dpf is prolly plugged..i would rip that thing outta there and get a delete from h&s..sounds like possibly needs the front end looked at?
  14. yep...that is why race cars,drag car,etc etc run electric fans..anything that takes a belt to run it robs horsepower.kinda vearin' out the subject here..but i tell people when ask my opinon on..should i supercharge my car or turbo charge it?TURBO IT!!it is free horsepower...
  15. i always use the alternator:thumbup2:
  16. mine are at 10/20...thinkin' whenb the new stix go in i may go to 8/17:thumbup2:
  17. i like it and don't have to watch the voltmeter and listen to the heater pull down the amps and such...Richard Martin(owner of Glacier Diesel Power) told me that when removing the grid heater..you take the main wire harness off and toss 'em BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU LEAVE THE 2 LITTLE WIRES HOOKED UP TO THE SOLENOIDS BECAUSE THE ECM NEEDS TO SEE THAT IN ORDER TO NOT THROW ANY CODES!!NICE FELLA AND VERY KNOWLEADGEABLE!!so you remove the little ground wire that is on the front of grid heater..the two on the back of the grid heater and follow them down to the solenoid on the driver side down by the battery and remove the 2 THAT COME FROM THE GRID HEATER!!oh and when it is cold like it has been the last two days here in INDY..i turn the key to run..the :wts:comes on for a few seconds...go off...start the truck and NO VOLTAGE DROP..NO LIGHTS DIMMING NOTHING!!!now need a different turbo and a ats or pdi exhaust manifold...oh and still new to get them new rv275's installed!:thumbup2:
  18. no..and i even thought about it while i was installing them.and:thumbup2:
  19. RPM....i see that you live in Arvada,CO..have you thought about going /or calling ats diesel?that is where they are located...home office man!
  20. well..the truck is grid heater deleted...a FBD grid heater delete was installed.....and a black power coated ats arc flow intake.....i got a block heater and a high/3cyl. box ..so no problems.i like it so far.:thumbup2::thumbup2::thumbup2::thumbup2:
  21. a rockwell!!!:drool::thumbup2:
