  5. well #6 is going to be hot because it is furtherest away from the font of the truck..tucked back in there in thr firewall where there is not so much air.

  7. i was noticing that some of the valves around the seat were "coked" up.that could be from alot of idling time?if so i know back in the day when i was helping the rig welders..the trucks would be running/idling all day long during pipelining..and or alot of start and stops to where as the engine couldn't reach full temp....may need to tie a trailor on and tug it up a long hill and get it hot...as in the egts hitting close to max and burning the soot out...but since you have the head off you will be able to clean the soot out safely...thank you for the pics!!

  10. THERE ARE SOME BOLTS ON THE 12 VALVE engines that can be removed so boost fittings can be installed if a person doesnt want to remove the intake elbow to drill and tap.don't know if/why it would be different than on a 24 valve.
  11. but the safety features can be overriden...do this at your own risk...DISABLING BACKDOWN....TO REMOVE ALL SAFETY FEATURES AND LET THE EDGE BE AT IT'S FULL POTENTIAL.WHILE VIEWING THE MAIN SCREEN,PRESS ENTER TWICE QUICKLY..DISABLE BACKDOWN SCREEN WILL SHOW UP...THEN YOU CAN SELECT THE NUMBER OF MINUTES IT WILL BE DISABLED.SO NOW YOU CAN HIT MAX BOOST,EGT'S,THE COLD ENGINE PROTECTION WILL BE DISABLED.REMEMBER TO DO THIS AT YOUR OUR RISK BECAUSE EGT'S ARE GOING TO GET UP THERE AND THE EDGE BOX IS NOT GOING TO DEFUEL ITSELF...THIS IS USED FOR EXAMPLE...DRAG RACING IF YOUR GOING TO BE ON THE DYNO FOR AWHILE..OR IF YOUR STUCK BEHIND A SLOW CAR OR CARS AND FINALLY GET A CHANCE TO PASS..JUST DISABLE....DO WHAT YOUR GUNNA DO AND THE REMEMBER TO TAKE THE DISABLE OFF.
