  1. Well its been 10 years since I took a vacation and the wife and I are headed to LasVegas, I really dont know why or what for but it sounded good at the time so off I go. See laterOh yea, somebody give me a number on the roulette wheel.
  2. When I am around the farm I usually have my welding truck (cab and a half) just because it has everything you can think of in it. And my back seat is full of rods, hood, welding shirts and so on. It would be nice to have a rack like back in the old days, in front of the back glass. I just dont know how I want to go about it, I will have to keep this truck for ever due to all the money I have in it and on top of that it has a salvaged title. So I have been kicking the idea of building my own rack, I just need ideas to put together before out comes the drill.:lmao:I cant see out the back glass anyway due to welder so I just need to find something. I have googled everthing and nothing really sticks out.Thats why I poke yall's brain
  3. Yea the only thing I have found is the DU-HA or something like that, it goes under your back seat on our 05's. I would like to see one in person before I spend 180.00 for one. It looks good from the pic but still like to put my hands on one.
  4. I am needing a gun rack for my 01 ext. cab. Any links or pics?
  5. One other question. Does the front driveline turn all the time on these 4x4,s
  6. I'll be, looked presealed to me. If it's that hard, which it looks to be, why not drill and tap. Are they putting the same setup on rear drive line?
  7. 98-1/2 thru 02 are the same. 12 valve mybe the same also, I dont know why they would be diff.
  8. Go down to the auto parts and get you a book on torque specs for your truck, you will need it in the future. The manifold torque is in a sequence. You really need it in front of you doing this.
  9. Presealed no grease fitting
  10. Praying for that strange wet stuff to fall out of the sky Before we all fry down here. Oh yea broke every record ever kept. Lakes 40' low
  11. So if I was to hook up a oil pressure gauge where is a good place? Above the filter? And if I disconect the the oil sender a tap in there will it set of cel light? How many psi gauge do I need 100 psi?
  12. We have another fire on our back door, this one is only 1k acres and the wind was only 5-10 mph and 4 miles as the crow flys from my place. They got 60k gals of fire retardent before dark and now we wait till daylight.Just to give you a idea of the conditions it's DRY. We are 22 inches behind in rain fall and 120 days of 96 plus temps and 90 100 degree days. It went from winter to 100 degrees like it was overnight. They say in the Austin news that we have had 11 inches of rain, they dont live where I do. We have had 6 inches at my place. The last measureable rain at my place was in May we had one inch and it has not rained since. OH wait I missed a day, we had 1/8 inch 4 weeks ago.The DC-10 is in Austin at 50k a day, wow what a rental deal. And our county precinct has figured a 3 million dollar loss in tax income in our precinct alone. What a wonderful day in the neighborhood. :lmao:As I write this I just thought of all the people that are being flooded.
  13. My 01 is soild, and I threw it away. Now you got me wondering. I will spray right now. Be right back.
  14. I wouldnt go over 20lbs, but thats me. You shouldnt need but a little pressure 10-15. Your turbo pushes 20+.
  15. A few years ago I bought my first AD100 and it would not prime with dry filters. Probably along the same thing Mopar is saying. I had to fill both filters and had line disconected at vp and when it primed it sprayed fuel everywhere. Also when I change filters it will syphon fuel from tank when there is no air in the line, so kinda makes sence that air could be the problem.
  16. Have you checked your boots? There is a link around here somewhere that shows you how to build your own test setup. Maybe AH64ID will drop by and give a hand on the subject.
  17. I forgot to take mine out when I disconected my edge ez and it would throw cel everytime it got above 15lbs . I dont run the power you have, but I like the elbow, seems set pretty good to me.
  18. yep sure does, I forgot that
  19. Ok I am back, it took longer to run through that tank than I thought. 16.23 mpg and I have done nothing. This motor came from a donor truck, it has 210k on it and been in my truck for 9k miles. I ran it stock for a long time just so I could go thru the motions again. I cleaned the injectors and serviced the fuel system along with setting the valves at 10 - 20. Ran this way for several months and fuel mileage stayed around 14.50 and 14.75 like clock work. I reinstalled edge ez about a 6-8 weeks ago, one fuel mileage was 14.75 and I thought that suc's. Ran another and 15.0 ok better. I know what the motor before ran and this one ran the same temp. About 6-7 days ago I posted here wow where did this come from, a big decrease in egt's. No change in driving, no change in weight, I weigh 11k. So where did this come from? I read a post that read something like it took a while before they saw increase in fuel mileage after running 2 stroke. All I did is change valve adjustment from 10-20 to 8-18. I will be the first to say that alone does not sound like it alone would do that much. Ok here we go again, same road same mph everything the same (100 degree day) and egt's are hotter. I will check mpg after this tank. Something is weird, egt's usually run 650 to 800 shifting gears and level off at 625 on flat road. When egt's went lower I was shifting and temps were 600-625 and level of at 575. I know everybody is going to say ambient temp cant make that much change and I will agree. But thats all that was diff. I will stay on this and see where this goes. Mean while could timing in vp make this kinda change?
  20. His is a 3/4 ton mine is a 1 ton. I know there is some weight diff. but if he would drive it normal there's no telling what it would get. And both trucks are auto's. And yes it's hand cal. I just got off the phone with him and it is a late 03. So I got to ask what the h--- were the manufactor thinking when they changed pistons? And they changed the cam also?
  21. Ok so my sons early 04 is getting 20 mpg and he drives it like he stole it. He is running a bully dog. My 05 auto is getting 15 bearly, I average more like 13.75. Is it in the cam, injectors or what? Why cant this 05 get better fuel mileage? I am thinking of getting a Smarty Jr. or a jet eng. that way I can just fly there and back.
  22. SICK MAN, SICK:dnftt:I would have come unglued on the b----
  23. Those are some good looking parts.
  24. Yea you can get the copper washers, call cummins they will send them. And I tell ya my experince with the tick, I have adjusted valves so much I can do it in my sleep. The tick is just part of the beast. Everyone I hear this from has just hit 180 - 200k on there truck and we start hearing this tick. Go to any fourm and there is a ton of write ups on the subject, adjust your valves turn up the radio and drive.
