  1. I think I read that the tail housing on the 2wd is to small for the retainer. The transfere case adapter has more room.
  2. Is the Donaldson P550550 separator any good? Found a place on ebay with a set (p551315 also)
  3. Same here, my alarm goes off at 30psi - - - Updated - - -
  4. I have not done a dodge, but its pretty simple. You may want to get new hardware, usually recomend new U bolts but I have reused them. You may have to cut the bolts that go in the bushings they like to rust into the sleeve inside the bushing. Just put it on jack stands and put floor jack under the diff. to be able to move it.
  5. I recently replaced my injectors and was wondering how you would know if the tubes were leaking? Would the orings keep the fuel from coming out where you could see it?
  6. I just replaced the thermostat in my sons 96 Eclipse and it came out in pieces. That was a first for me too and I have changed a few thermostats over the years.
  7. My edge has a temp sender on the trans. I don't pull very heavy so I don't usually watch it. What is the max temp to stay under?
  8. I found a rain gutter to drain pipe connecter at lowes and the ID is 4" then used a 3" PVC cap which is real close to 4" OD which is the same as the turbo
  9. New head, studs, and rv275's installed! I could feel the extra power right away even on stock setting. One question I have is that my boost while at cruising speed seems lower than before but EGT is also lower. I think my old injectors were worn out and making the EGT higher. I get a little more smoke with edge turned up, but not other wise.
  10. My injectors came with them and my head gasket kit (felpro) came with them. Maybe felpro can get them.
  11. Yes I already have the studs and RV275's, figured nows the time to do it. Can't wait to try it
  12. Rebuilt aftermarket are around $1500 so I went with a new one.
  13. It is cracked on almost all the exhaust valve seats, into the combustion chamber. The second place said about what Napa did, it may not leak but will brobably get worse. It is very hard to find used ones in my area only ones I find are far away and no garantee they are good. Ordered a new one, should be here by next weekend.
  14. I found a local shop that can do more checking on the head. Said they can even pressure test it. If I do need a new one the can get new cummins (not rebuilt) with all the valves for around $1800 which isn't bad compared to most rebuilds.
  15. He said in the exhaust valve area. Not sure how they checked it but I am going to stop in and have him show me where and how they found it.
  16. Is there any difference in the years (98.5-02)
  17. I'm replacing my head gasket and took the head to the machine shop. They just called and said its cracked . Is this common? Where is a good place to get one? Any input would be great.
  18. I was thinking of replacing the T fitting with a regular compression fitting. I just bought the new seals from the dealer for $40.
  19. Well I finally got around to repairing my head gasket. I have my injectors and studs and have the head ready to go to the machine shop. I noticed when removing it, it seperated from the block very easy and there was alot of oil around all the bolt threads. Is this normal?
  20. Not sure how long you will need, maybe 6 feet. The place I got mine could only get 5" in 10 foot pieces.
  21. Mine cracked about the same spot. Not sure if it hurts anything, but I could smell exhaust in the cab so I replaced it. I got a stock replacement from Rockauto, the had the best price. I wanted to up grade but didn't want to spend $300+ on one. Its been a few years now and it seems to be fine.
  22. If you are looking to save as much money as possible, all you need to get is the tail pipe and a piece of straight pipe the size you want. I used the stock down pipe, adapted to the 5" pipe, used stock hangers by welding rods to the pipe. I went with 5" because the tail pipe was free
  23. I have yokohama on mine and they seem to be wearing good. I drove through pretty deep snow without any problems. They are just all season basic tires and were a good price (especially when buying 6)
  24. I never checked if the injectors come with the copper or brass washers but I think they do???- - - Updated - - - So do they come with new copper washers or not. I have heard there are different thicknesses.
  25. On mine I used a short piece of hose with a bolt stuck in the end with hose clamps to cap off the lines I didn't need any more. I left the old filter and pump on and plugged the lines. I was worried about the water in fuel light staying on and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a big line kit and still use the old filter with the fuel heater. Haven't had any issues with not useing it yet.
