yes i agree never have heard of this before.

i've seen more carnage from rock crawling then anything. lots of broken axles, twisted drivelines, even a spider gear poking through the rear end housing of a toyota!!!:banghead:

i've torn apart my fair share of drivelines but i cant say i have ever seen one of these lock up but i have felt the very pronounced vibration that comes from a bad one.

well good maintance will always help mechanical parts last a long time.

they dont have hubs. correct? my understanding is that the axle turns all the time so when you activate the tcase the front axle has power!

the only other thing i could think of was to remove the tranny pan and see if the VB is marked aftermarket in someway, somewhere. other than that i have no idea.

well i guess i should make a set of these winter fronts seeing i dont have much of a drive to work and my truck often doesnt get up to temp by the time i make it to work.

mine looks just like the one in the pic which is located behind the grill in the center.
