Shifting in and out of 4wd speed?
highway speeds should still be ok since the t-case has plantary gears which act similar to synchros. but the slower speed is always a good safe choice.

my edge has it and its wonderful. the quad should have it as well and i think the BD diesel sells a stand alone turbo timer for around 200 bucks or so.

you can also jack up the rearend of the truck and mark the driveline and tire and rotate the tire one full revolution and watch the driveline. If the driveline turns 3 turns and the tire will turn about a half turn then you should 3.55 then if the driveline turns 4 turns to one its a 4.10. I believe thats the way to check or your axle should have any ID tag on it that has the ratio stamped in it!!! Dont quote me on this but i think this right.- What year factory rims will fit a 98.5

well i have completed this mod just today and so far i like it very much now when the pedal is set it stays in a down and locked position and you can actually tell that the ratchet is engaged. it seems to hold much much better. here are a few pics of my go round enjoy.- pets
