My manual says 50,77,recheck 77,90 degrees that was done 330k ago. The gasket should have come with a bolt stretch guide to check.When i did mine called Cummins,Frieghtliner,Dodge nobody stocked new bolts and had'nt had in inventory for quite some time(sorta indicated to me they don't get replaced very often) --- Update to the previous post... This is correct for V-6/V-8 GAS engines,V-10 43ft lbs,then 105ft lbs:smart: --- Update to the previous post... Your correct doing it this procedure!

I sure he means replace #5 piston(one hole) without pulling the engine out(in Frame)Have a hone w/a flexable shaft to hone cyl#5(Flex Hone)

I'll look into getting a used one for my truck,need new Injectors anyway and 275's are the same price(mine have 782K on them). I do have all the gauges short the tranny temp(have one just not installed) Look forward to Mike's pics,but I think what he considers weight and what I do are different animals.

How much weight,How far,How many miles?

Been through 3 NV5600 already,just looking to put in those RV275's and up the boost I think will be plenty for me,I'm always Hauling weight gotta watch the drivetrain. Might think about one if i could find a used for the right price.

Call Freightliner, Have engine# handy. If you've never dealt with your local Freightliner don't tell them it's in a Dodge pick-up USE Engine#

Have it screwed all the way in,only getting 20-22 PSI. Guess i'll live with that for now.

The one i have is a TST i believe,maybe i'm just not smart enough to get it to work? Tightening the allen screw should increase boost,Correct?

Thats about all l can get,at one time my truck was getting 35 PSI,waste gate must have be stuck or a hole in the hose between Elbow and Acctuator. --- Update to the previous post... Can you buy that Edge Elbow as a stand alone or do you have to buy the electronics?

How much boost should I be able to develope with a boost elbow?

No I hav'nt yet, going to have Diesel Specialties here in Omaha get them in for me tuesday,been too busy trying to earn the funds(donations accepted) just kidding.Last run I did I stopped for coffee and noticed my truck idling rough,runs smooth down the road,can't think of what happened other than a dirty injector.Don't know just does'nt seem to be hitting all 6 at idle,injectors have 778k so it's time.

Thinking of getting some of these Injectors,thinking mine are due to be replaced. I'm sure i'll notice a increase in power,but more important what can i expect in mileage increase.

Camper PKG also included overload springs,now they are a 3500 srw.

:banghead:This might be a dumb question,but if the soldiered contacts just need resoldiered why would it need to be recalibrated?

What size exhuast housing do the 01 w/6 speeds have? I never get over 1100 on my EGT's (pulling 12-15k) up grades out west, but i don't have my truck turned up a lot.

What it cost to go through yours?

What kind of price have you found on used NV5600's,did'nt forget about sending pics and looking up receipts(just can't find most of receipts,thought had all in one envelope)pics i think are one an old hard drive,need to try and get them recovered.:banghead:

Like i said you have to go through the torque sequence 4 times.

If i remember right the head gasket will come with a bolt stretch guide,there are three different lengths of bolts for the 24V,i called freightliner and cummins to see if they stocked the bolts,niether did and and had'nt sold any in a long time,to me that was a good indication that they are not replaced often.Wore me out going the the torque sequence 4 times.So far no problem/ leaks,of course that was only 230k ago.

Neither one of these are even broke in yet. Or have you looked on E-Bay or called you local Frieghtliner Dealer.

The Cig lighter works, I have no voltage to the power outlet, it's has a factory plug/tested at plug no voltage

Have cigar outlet and power outlet,cigar is fuse #15, i believe power outlet is fuse #10, I have power to cigar/none to power outlet.
