Heaviest load Iv pulled since I got her! She didn’t do the best considering my turbo needs rebuilt!

I love the smell of diesel but my parents hate it lol.

What steering problem did you have?

I would think with a smarty it would smoke like a freight train already. More so with bigger injectors. That being said I think 7x10s would be alright but I can’t say so for sure.

It’s totally up to you and I understand how tight money can be but I highly recommend doing a full system. Whether it be a Raptor without filters or the normal Airdog or Fass just donut all at once. It’s also very highly recommended that you relocate the pump. If not I promise you you will wear our pumps right and left. I was in this same spot 2 months ago. I wanted to just keep the factory location and stuff but I went with a Fass 150 with 1/2 inch lines and haven’t looked back. I have 20 psi at idle and 16 18 wot. Trust me it was worth it!

Best bet to increase longevity and pressure is big lines all the way from tank to Vp44. Better yet get a Airdog. It all depends on your power goals. If your gonna hop it up a little I would screw the DDRP Those are made for bone stock trucks

I do t know much about mechanical pumps. It will be useful for any fuel system. What are he goals for the truck? @trreed Has a mechanical pump he will tell you.

Hmm I wonder why it started idling rough all the sudden. I was right at 1/4 tank of fuel when it started. Thinking it may have been sucking more air I filled up butnjbhavnt drive fR so we’ll see if it clears up.

I think you are right. I did go ahead and order a map from Cummins. Currently the filier is not I. The circuit. I’ll try that testing as soon as I can. Gonna have a busy weekend. Could a false map reading cuase a rough idle? Coming as soon as I can scrounge up the cash!

I have been slowly going thrubthat diagnostic. So far the code ya not comeback but I did unhook the boost fooler. It’s not in limp mode becuase when I had the edge ez it would trip this code when I was fiddling with it andnit would be a major dog. It’s nothing like it was that time.

Would a boost leak tester provide the results I would need to verify that low boost is my problem?

I believe this is related to my low power and P0237 issues but last evening I went and picked up a new boat 20 miles away. Idk when it started but i started hearing a lot of what sounds like valve chatter. Something tells me it has nothing to do with the valves but that it’s related to a timing issue. I’m also having rough idle symptoms again although a bit different from when I had air in fuel. What I’m thinking is since I have turbo play and all that i may have low boost which flipped the code and is causing low power. I also read somewhere here that low boost will create more timing and make a knocking noise and higher boost will retard timing. This boat I bought is a 16foot aluminum boat. It don’t weigh much at all but o the way home going up a 5% grade the truck was very sluggish and I kept loosing speed in 6th gear going 65 up the hill. Also the turbo instead of making a whistle when I stabbed the throttle going up the hill it made more of a lower pitched whine. Any one else think my issues are related to the turbo? Also would a boost leak tester provide the results needed to condemn the turbo?

That’s something I didn’t do when I did my injectors. What happens if you don’t do that?

@Mopar1973Man @Me78569 I know that you 2 have been able to create a boost gauge for the OBDLink tool. I need some guidance setting this up with mine. I think it may help me diagnose other issues I’m having with my truck. First is where to go in the obdlink app to create the gauge?

I went ahead and ordered a map from Cummins. Should have it tomorrow morning. I went and brought home a new boat this evening and there is a long 6% grade that I had to go up. The truck just kept losing speed slowly in sixth gear. This is just a small 16ft aluminum boat not heavy at all. Anyways truck was very sluggish climbing the hil. Also I may be imagining it but it seems like I all the sudden have a ton of valve clatter. I’m wondering about the possibility of a serious boost leak. I might try to text that tomorrow.

I’d upgrade to half inch lines. Even better get a Airdog raptot.

The truck is now idling like crap. Very rough idle. Not like when I had air in the fuel though.

@notlimah If you will by my plane ticket and 2 24 packs of beer I will do it for you! Its one of the easiest things to do on your truck! A heck of a lot easier than diagnosing trouble codes like I am!

Ok I’ll try that. Also what about measuring resistance between the terminals of the plug?
