  1. I use the 50/50 mix because my well water is all out of wack!
  2. So in gasoline, the higher octane, to a point, the better, but in diesel the opposite is true, interesting!
  3. Get it all figured out?
  4. I have a rescue Thoroughbred from the track, Tennesee Walker, & a rescue mare foal QuarterHorse/Thoroughbred. How about you? Dave
  5. Thanks Rancherman, all good advice, I will heed your words, very pertinent useful information. I'll probably just take the plug to my favorite local mom& pop hardware store & find what fits. After pondering all your suggestions, you gave me a plan. I'm out of town teaching the rest of this week, can't wait to get back tinkering w my truck! Thanks again, Dave
  6. It was sort of flopping around, as a musician, I need my fingers intact! Rather would have a helper in an unsafe situation.
  7. Michael, I have an extra Frantz filter setup, would I be able to use it in this case? Between the tank & pump? Dave
  8. Excellent, have you ever blow out a seal by overfilling? Probably not the same consequences as overfilling an engine huh. So regular pipe thread for the street "L"? Teflon tape w the threads maybe too? Thank you, Dave
  9. Thanks, good to know. Changed over to a 6speed w a 13" south bend clutch & a one piece 4" driveshaft. I don't need to go beyond that. I will need to let my credit cards heal up some first. I would like to bump up the power some. I will need the over boost fixed, it's just a rusted piece of junk, I believe it's stuck shut! Saw a Banks Power Head used for $40.
  10. It's just difficult to hold it up w one hand. & get a bolt started w the other. It was even tough w 2 guys trying to do it. Two bags of horse feed or not!
  11. Vaporized engine oil! That's a good rust proofer!
  12. I was thinking of running it in one of the fenders so the don't rot out too!
  13. Excellent advice Rancherman, how many quarts should I buy? Street L, I like that idea, 3/8 or 1/2 inch pipe? Hope it's not metric. Thanks, Dave
  14. I thought there had to be something a lil beefier in a 3500 than a 2500. I'm not ready for that job. That front hub assembly was like a hundred pounds, at least that what it felt like when doing the Moog Problem Solver all 4 ball joint replacement a few years back. Truck is a tank!
  15. Thanks Michael, do they still make the Edge Comp or something similar? Thanks, Dave
  16. Wow, looks good to me. What do the critics say? Dave
  17. So the ones to get are the DAP RV275's? While running just an HX35 w no programmer? I want to bump up my power maybe just a little, what programmer works best w this setup? I believe I still have the factory injectors & VP44, but if it ain't broke.......203K Dave
  18. Wow, a hundred bucks! Turbo back? Dave
  19. Interesting, now I wish that I would have taken that job offer at Ohio Diesel Injection coming out of Diesel Mech HS vocational school. Good job guys, Dave
  20. I have that, thought it was my fan, but after shutting off the fan still did it.
  21. A little off topic, it was brought up about fluid change intervals. I just put in a 6speed, what fluid & how much does it take to refill? Thanks, Dave
  22. Doesn't Calflyn have a million w a 53 block?
  23. Hey Green, all those mods on your truck, thought you would have done better, must have been the limiter. Seems like it should breath ok!
