I keep reading about people whose trucks pop while they are all screwed up. My truck has never popped. I helped a guy one time who didn't have fuel getting to his injectors and when I finally tracked down the loose connection and it started, he revved it up a little and it popped for a second. I can't figure out why. Then other guys have issues with timing and it pops. What causes the popping! I want to get to the bottom of this in full detail because it seems to sometimes happen and sometimes not. Like I said, mine has never done it, so what causes it?

Yeah they kinda have a 1 topic a week limit I sent a 2 page thing to my senator over everything we have discussed here. Maybe he will send me a postcard from Hawaii back.

I am not so sure about the movie thing. I mean it's obvious there is a ton of violence in them. I watched a movie yesterday that I think was swedish that showed a girl being abused and raped by her liaison. She was screaming and yelling and yeah it was horrible since it showed all of it. However, I have seen movies from the 90's depicting the same thing. I do think this rape stuff has become more common in the movies since the 90's though, as in the pre90's didn't have it so much. I can assume in the 50's/60's it was possibly unheard of? Now this video game crap....the columbine kids said "it will be like a game of doom, the weak will die and the strong will live, natural selection" One of them even wore a shirt during the shooting that said natural selection. As they were killing people, they said "this isn't much fun anymore, lets try stabbing people". So the video game thing definitely has a role. I mean kids don't just get these ideas from thin air. Those 2 were avid gamers and that game "doom" was a big shooting game, they even created levels for it. Now I have a nintendo 64 with a game called perfect dark. All you do is run around and shoot people.. It's fun as hell if you have it on one hit kills because you see how many you can kill before you get killed yourself. It tests your accuracy and speed. There are real world versions of this you see on those gun shows like Top Shot where they compete to see who has the best accuracy and speed. So adults have a real version basically. I know a lot of guys on here would love to do crap like that. When I went to the grand canyon and looked across at the face of the cliff 1000's of yards away, I instantly wanted to put a bunch of targets out there and see if I could hit them. Now how does this turn into the violence of killing people? The difference in my video game between real world and it is that you get shot at in the video game and killed. I don't know if they want that added pressure or what. Buttttt, its not that they want the thrill of it. I mean obviously they think it's fun, but they still kill themselves.. The video games and crap just give them ideas but video games or not, they have a reason to kill people and then themselves. I mean why would you kill yourself if you were happy with life.. They aren't happy for some reason and the video games just give them a few ideas. I think they would probably do just as violent of things with or without the video games. The columbine kids had revenge on their minds and they probably woulda killed everyone they hated one way or another, video game or not. It just keeps boiling down to their satisfaction with life. Parents who don't care to help them, etc. My cousin has death all over her facebook, she dresses like death, all of that crap. There are THOUSANDS of kids like that. She is 14... Her dad doesn't care. Everyone has pointed it out, nothing changes. He knows what needs to change but it's more that his job keeps him away from home to enforce the laws. My other uncle on the other hand, treats his kids as if they were his best friends. They don't see him as some president who is only there to beat them, they see him as basically one of the older kids in school who you always wanted to hang out with. They respect him and he never touched them. He could just say hey, stop that, and they understood. His daughter is also 14, looks identical to the other death cousin, cept without the death crap. Really sucks because he died of cancer last year. It just goes to show how different things affect kids. I wasn't gonna talk about this but when I was a kid, my dad beat the crap out of me. Slammed my head into walls, told me to stop crying as he did it, everything. It wasn't hard enough to bruise me or anything but it left a lasting impression. We did a lot of fun things like ride go carts one weekend every summer and ride dirt bikes and such, but it was the normal everyday life that sucked. He would get home from work and it was like anything I did was wrong and I got beat the crap out of for it. I never learned, I never understood what I did wrong. We had a 2 story house and there were many times I contemplated jumping off onto the cement pad below. But I always had this theory that eventually things would get better, that I would move out and everything would be perfect. Well then I wrecked my dirt bike and had surgery on everything so then nobody ever did anything again since they figured they would break something if they touched me. So I guess it was kind of a good thing. I have a veryyyy high self esteem so I have easily washed away everything he did, plus I can't really remember anything before the wreck, as if it knocked all those thoughts out of me. So to me, parents should act like they are a kids best friend, not nothing but a cop. The guy I ride dirt bikes with is 50 and he is for lack of better words, meannn. I can match it though so we get along great, but his daughter added me on facebook a week or 2 ago and it is very obvious what affect he had on her. He was never there for her, never cared, told her she was on her own. She is over 20 now, got pregnant, he called her every name in the book for it since she was in college and he thinks her grades will drop and she will end up with no future. The thing is, he has no clue why his kids are the way they are. Seems rather obvious to me. It's like W&F says, people need to step back and look at the big picture of things, rather than analyzing the little things that don't tell the whole story. The solution to those little things are just band aid fixes. We can see from the chart that everyone wants better parenting, and I think thats definitely the most viable solution. I actually voted for the last 3 things, I really think socializing more is the key to all of this, if not ALL of the worlds problems. Alright so don't mention anything I just said about me and my dad lol. It was just an example of things that happen and the effects. He's fine to deal with now and with him being an engineer I have been prying out a lot of info from him to help me help you guys.

Just shows how divided America is. I think we all had an effect on each other as well. I mighta voted for number 1 at the beginning of this thread.. There is one thing you guys might not have seen but shows America's division. They are ALSO ranked based on social involvement....I mean just look at it. America wants to take everyone's guns away so they can't shoot anyone. The last thing they want to do is look out for each other... If you just look at each one it perfectly goes from least social to most social. People don't want to talk to each other. I believe that to be the biggest problem of all that causes more problems than anything.

Guys I've been reading about a lot of hustle and bustle on other forums about turning the barrels on the P7100 to get more fuel. This is ridiculous.. Basically the barrels can be rotated as a means of getting the spill ports of each barrel all in the same spot. Meaning it ensures each injector fires the same amount of fuel to give a smooth running engine. They are calibrated from the factory to ensure this.Welllll, people have found that if you turn the barrels all the way clockwise, that you put the spill port farther over and then when you floor it, you end up even further along the port helix, giving more fuel more power...... Of course this means the idle speed is now 1500RPM so they back the idle screw way down to get back to idle speed. This is ridiculous because these guys are knocking around all 6 barrels until the engine smooths out and calling it good. This is running on thin ice and having pistons all firing at different power levels cant be good on things. I realize there is a damper to smooth this out but it's still not a good idea and probably puts uneeded strain on the damper and might cause premature failure. If you want to do this, take it to a pump shop and have them do it so they can calibrate them as well. I don't really see the point of something stupid like this just for more power when the trucks already make great power with just plate mods. People will do anything for more power, including this stupid tactic.

The high temperature IAT fooler is ONLY intended for that. It serves no other purpose. Maybe some guys will list their gains they personally saw.

Guys you all have taught me and hopefully everyone else a lot on this topic. It's amazing that in the beginning before we "understood" each other, that we kinda had some arguments. Now we are actually putting out several aspects of the solution for review by fellow peers. I'm only mentioning this at all because it's so rare to do what we are doing. w&f, i forgot all about reading about the antidepressants involved in the colmbine thing. i didnt aim this thread so much at gun control but rather a solution and you definitely see more parts of the picture than most. So it seems the root of the problem is the mentality, which can be caused by the antidepressants. But the columbine kids had some prettttty bad things being done to them.. I'm not sure if we have the capacity to kill based on that alone or if the drugs give us the extra boost to go over the edge. The next problem is the availability of the guns which as everyone seems to concur, is easy as pie.. I mean the more we allow ourselves the ease to arm ourselves, the easier it gets for those psychos as well. I know guns don't shoot themselves which is why this is #2 on the ranking.. Then we have knives and anything else. I see that as a better alternative because you have to be close range, so people can merely run and be fine. People can throw stuff at them to keep them away if they can't win the foot race. I think knife wounds heal better too? Any thing on earth can be a weapon..but a gun sure is a world more powerful than all the runner ups. My quandary is how do we get all these kids to be equal in school. I think everyone knows that there is a caste system among kids. There are the jocks, the regular kids I guess, then the nerds are probably last lol. The jocks make fun of the nerds, the regular kids do nothing, and the nerds get bullied the whole time. They don't have to be nerds but yeah everyone knows who gets picked on. The loners, the guys who dress differently... There is never a class that tells us that we are all equal, and teachers sure don't seem to care to tell is that either. It's like from 2nd grade on up we start ranking each other and pick on the lower ranks. It's ridiculous.

The engine has set points where it goes into high idle or 3 cyl high idle. It does this automatically if the IAT sensor detects such frigid conditions. The fooler reroutes the wires through a resistor to simulate the cold conditions, so it will work the same be it -100F or 200F, it replaces the sensor completely.. The resistors for the 3 cyl high idle simulates 10F or something and the high idle simulates 30F or something based on their resistance. The MPG fooler simulates a HOTTER temp than it really is. The 24V bases it's timing on a number of variables and the IAT is one of them. When it is cold it seems to put the engine into a really advanced mode and this seems to have a negative effect on mileage. The consensus is that it does this for emissions.. By fooling it into thinking it is summer, it stays put using a better timing table which is more efficient. Good points CUMMINSDSLPOWER. Personally I don't think the government has anything to do with this. People doing this aren't politically active, they are kids. The columbine thing had nothing to do with it, they just got mad at all the bullies. I think a lot of them are just having personal issues with each other and they take it out on everyone else or take it out on those who they seek revenge from. We can blame the government for everything all day but they have no bearing on my personal life at all. I can say they suck because they don't give me enough student loans but I think it's wrong to expect free money. In the end I think it's up to us as individuals to work together to solve this and ignore the crap the government does or doesn't do.

I think there are alternatives to gun control, I mean it isn't the gun that's the problem so much but rather the user. There is just a morality flaw flowing around and that combined with the ease of getting a gun and smuggling it anywhere mix to form a bad combination. One of the 2 needs to be rectified. I don't think obama's tears solved anything and I don't think he has any real plans either. Someone needs to step up and do something though. One thing I found a little interesting is how people in the news who didn't lose their kids were overjoyed but seemed to have little concern for those who didn't make it. I think we have become a very separated "family" and that needs to change.

Kids cannot carry... In the common school there are probably 20-30 kids per classroom and ONE teacher. So trenchcoat guy goes to class, they shut the door because it's noisy outside. Ok so the teacher has a gun, being the only one who CAN have a gun. So psycho starts with the teacher and is left with nothing but sitting ducks......Now you see the problem. Unless we have 5 guards in every classroom, the student has the advantage. I also think a lot of what you mention is just, bank robberies, holdups, petty crap that criminals do to get a pack of cigarettes. They don't want any trouble they just want their cigs. These guys doing these mass shootings are PSYCHOS, who kill themself as well. So how would it fix that? Are we to just let the 20 kids a year get shot as a small price to pay? Alright this is gonna get intense lol. Here we have a bunch of kids dead.......alright so I have been researching this along with all of the past massacres like this. They all play out the same, kill people then kill self. As I researched I noticed one huge flaw. You can get these damn guns as easy as a loaf of bread.. And in todays instance, just walk over and grab it and kill your mom. HOW is it that easy? I can go to walmart, buy everything I need, stuff it in my coat, go to my chemistry class of 500 people where there are no metal detectors, and clean a lot more than 20 off in no time. I mean these guys are getting semi autos with banana clips..well the columbine guys were that I read about. So then we have the one solution of everyone having guns. Well that worked in one town, but the cost would be huge for the whole USA. Every household would need one.. Then they need bullets and whatnot. But lets say Mike is there with his pistol on his side. Obviously this isn't concealed.. If I come in with my trenchcoat, how hard is it for me to turn around, pull out my gun, turn back around and take him out instantly. I mean it's not hard to look around in an empty hallway to see potential threats. Then open the door to chemistry, everyone facing forward, sitting ducks... It's just wayyyyyyyyy too easy! Todays thing was proof! You guys want more guns but I'd realllly like to hear your thoughts on how more guns will stop this crap. There are gun safes.. Even still, how hard is it for a 20 year old to overpower their mom...make her tell them the gun safe code. I was talking to a guy in the netherlands about this and he said they cannot get guns there. Says it is so hard to get a license to have one that most people don't bother. Since there are basically no guns at all there, there is only petty crap. Knife stabbings or something. To me, either everyone needs a gun, or nobody can have a gun. This mix of gun owners vs. innocents is not working. The gun owners are not responsible at all. But nor is whoever sells them. The columbine guys got that stuff easilllly. Now I know how this is gonna go, and I'm here to say I don't go either way. If nobody but cops had guns, there would still be a psycho cop abusing his power so someone would need a gun to balance the equation. So tell me, what exactly do you guys think the solution for this crap is? Other than keeping people happy...there will always be ONE psycho who pulls something like this.

I just got a call from a guy who was telling me his truck did the exact opposite of mine when mine was at 0* timing. Meaning, his only ran ABOVE 1300. Stuttered and coughed and whatnot below. He did my spill port method thing and eventually we got to where he marked his damper and he told me the measurement and somehow the measurement must have got doubled because he was at 27*. Obviously that's the problem. Very interesting to find out that I was that close to the edge of it running like crap when I was at 20*. I might try 25* when I get home to check. Oddly enough, mine running equally as crappy at 0* and his the opposite crappiness at 27* averages the nameplates 13.5*.

If it's a 24V, fuel pressure gauge 1st then no question. After you see that it has no pressure you will buy a lift pump that works (airdog or whathaveyou). From there I would do it like this: [*]Pyrometer [*]Upgraded clutch or built auto [*]4" exhaust straight pipe with see through muffler. 3" is fine but eh, 4" is better lol. [*]BHAF (Bring Hella Air Fast) er big air filter... [*]EDGE Juice chip or something (I don't keep up on these (12V guy)) That is about all you have to do to get a solid truck. Now it seems 24V guys like to run 275 RV injectors for mileage so that would be the next thing on the list after all previous things. After all of these, you would start looking at turbo options... You will probably be pushing some high EGT's and that means to go any further you need to get rid of them with lots of cool air. The HX35 won't do that past this level. This level being 400HP/850TQ.. So obviously it's going to start getting expensive since turbos are not cheap. Most people stop at this point. Many people keep going but instead of a turbo they buy bigger injectors which is the WRONG way to go. Black smoke is the enemy and that's all they will get. You need to get a better turbo first. It's a fine art of air/fuel ratio. Blasting the engine with fuel and choking it with a crappy turbo is pointless.

There needs to be something that deciphers what they say into black and white words.. I watched all of the debates 3 times or more and got nothing from them. You would start to see something good about one, then the other would say that was complete BS. Then one would say something bad about the other, then the other would say that was BS. So I saw no difference between fact and fiction. It was nothing but who got the last voice in.
