Diesel around the world
Diesel was pushed big time here for years but now gone totally the other way due to soot but petrol is about the same price at the pumps anyway

Diesel around the world
Over here in the UK I'd say the main thing going for extended fuel pump life is the rediculous cost of diesel around £1.29 per litre therefore most do very little mileage. On my 3500 my insurance had 1500 limited miles. think Its 3k on the 2500. 154000k on the 2500, vp looks to be original. been here since 04

Wow thats some backdrop for a mainstreet..... We're on rockie mountain train for 3 days. There's certainly pros and cons for both rv and 5th wheel. My brother is also looking for one,he's been to see 6 or 7

advice on rv or 5th wheel
Looked all over the site for the right place for this. Apologies if I missed a better place for it.....anyway long story short, I'm off to Canada for 2 weeks holiday just me and wife (1st holiday since 2009) once back I intend to buy either american rv or 5th wheel thing is I can't decide which would be best. To break down costs an rv would be £230 road tax and approx £200 insurance. 5th wheel is no cost per year. RV could pose a problem with manoverability especially the rear overhang as Wales and Scotland is a first and roads aren't american rv friendly. My 3500 is too big for parking spaces in my local town.... been fined twice for not being inside parking bay.....! so pros and cons for both. Also uk/europe are really getting on diesels but I have both petrol and diesel so not bothered. I'm a mechanic so neither petrol or diesel or trailer is an issue

Weird Water Pump Lubrication?
All coolant system seals, O rings, hoses etc don't like oil of any kind. Might have been the thing to do in 1930 but not in 2018, water pumps back then used gland packing and leather seals i'd say so a little lube worked wonders coolant and cooling systems have moved on

Map Light Repair & LED Lights for the interior
I've built my own house over here in rip off Britain LED ceiling downlighters throughout, got to be 130 plus, all the same style but the first ones I bought were rediculously priced at maybe £30 each for light unit and bulb last lot was less than half that, although thats probably more of an indication on how long the build has took me lol. Going to be getting a rv this year so will led that too but to be fair most american rv's here would need a lot of electrical work as most of the conversions from 110v to 240v are a right mess anyway

CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
I guess Leave the alarm disabled, makes it nice and simple

CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
The ctm that is connected at the moment is out of my 3500 so of no real relevance to what needs to be enabled/disabled on a replacement ctm. I'm of the thinking that the less thats enabled means less to go wrong. As long as fob unlocks/locks doors, interior curtesey light just basics really. Don't need alarm or panic, don't need rolling locks, That is great. Do you want me to paypal cost of the ctm ?

CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
No I don't have heated seats Yeah 3000 give or take.

CHEAP EBAY APPS?????
Just before I bought my truck previous owner fitted a cheap chinese tps, I got it with tps codes, checked it out and fly lead wouldn't even plug into harness correctly so trimmed tps plug with a blade then checked manual and iirc you're supposed to turn tps on it's slotted mounting holes to set idle volts (I think) well the one the previous owner fitted had holes, not slots so couldn't get that right ,ordered a not so cheap one but not dodge off of ebay usa and dialled in great, codes cleared and real cheapo in glovebox just in case as a get home

Possible Engine Pitting
I use Cat ELC (extended life coolant) in everything and do fluid sampling. Cat also do concentrate elc for top ups or increasing freeze strength. About 30 years ago I had to look after 8 or 10 terex dumptrucks with Cummins NTA 855 ci diesels, liner cavitation was a big problem on them and several had to have piston/liner kits due to liner worm, they had a fleetguard water filter from the factory which contained a conditioner but it didn't stop it. ELC did. I have recently come across a used fleetguard water filter housing which i'll be fitting to the ram

CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
Thats what I need. also Does anyone know if a high end snap on reader would work as i've thought about getting one as I think it would pay for itself as no one seems to be on the ball here for american vehicles

Hi From England
Kept meaning to but never quite got round to it

CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
Not too sure, I looked at the listing but couldn't click on more details ( looking on my mobile not laptop) from china so I'd be very sceptical in it's ability to do anything. I did find a few genuine drbs for sale comparative pricing to snap on
-
CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
Ok. So the guy on fleabag says he can't do a module and a fob next is to find out if a snap on eos or whatever will do it
-
CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
I've contacted someone on fleabay .com who sells modules to ask if they can do a CTM with a fob, I'll see what they say, surely some get broken into parts and the fob is not lost

Hi From England
I'd have thought there would be more members from here as it's hard with no dealer
-
CTM (Central Timer Module) problem
Yes that's correct but I didn't get the fob when I bought the 2500, I have inputs on p30 and p31 but only one output, can't remember which whether it's p33 or p34, if I connect the CTM from my other truck door locks work with ignition off with it's original fob So I need a 56045202AA CTM module with original fob, or here's a silly question whats the programming procedure ?, I suppose it can't be done off the truck ?? sorry for the questions
