Intermediate Steering Shaft Upgrade
Use Nylon lock nuts and go fine thread not course thread. Maybe stainless steel? I would call the company and see what they think.

What's the deal with 12v prices?
Thank you. It's been a great truck. Doubly after so many deals in years past with gassers causing me problems

What's the deal with 12v prices?
I keep full coverage on my second gen. Still a nice straight truck w/ low miles but, think if it ever gets wrecked the insurance might try snowing me on the price. My first gen is still my DD and can't believe that engine and truck still so strong. I finally had to rebuild the 5 spd trans at about 425,000 miles.

A fruit of labor
They found not too long ago the defoliant sprays like Round Up and others have one chemical that is far more toxic because it doesn't break down. Just like the old DDT issue they are finding it in wells, waterways and in the air. Can't remember the chemical name but they found not only it doesn't break down, but, the toxicity level of this chemical to be much higher than originally thought.

X2, Man, you need some X bracing on that. Bottom of the X's anchored in Concrete. Top bolted to the floor framing. Perhaps a temporary support system and then get the foundation in right?

Fed up
I downshift coast a lot makes them tailgatin' folks go around. It's funny.... a lot of folks must be testing their brakes cause they sure speed up so they get to stop hard at the light. Taking about my 5 speed 1st gen DD.

EPA orders VW recall on Not So Clean Diesels
why would a 56 mile per gallon car need any smog? That's clean burning in my book. I've always said the gov't just wants to require new things for companies to make thereby creating new economies/ company start ups for more tax revenue thru corporate tax and payroll taxes. It's all about the money. Studies have shown a direct correlation between the amount of money flowing in the economy and the amount of waste and pollution at the other end If they pass carbon credits bill it will only require more money to have to flow by driving up the cost on virtually everything.

Michael nelson says use non metallic organic pads to save the life of the rotors. I know he is correct as my 425,000 mile 12 valve has had them turned only once. The guy turning them could not believe that it was originals on a 92 first gen.

Fed up
So if you have warped rotors with a lot of thickness left on them, couldn't you just put on some metallic pads and after awhile they won't be warped anymore??

Fed up
These millenials, I won't say all, but they are messed up. Two passed me yesterday mad as hell because I was 5 over. passed in such a horribly mad way on double yellow lines. Another lady in a brand new Ford truck didn't bother to find a place to pull off the road. Both truck doors wide open tailgate down changing her babies diapers right in the middle of the road. Two times going out the store a millennial cuts in front of me at the door walks out and lets the door go so it would have hit me if I wasn't watching. These people vote unfortunately.

Must have traveled half way around the world for that pic, as if I don't know where that is. He he. Beautiful. I got to get some up for you Daniel. They're still on my camera... what a heel I am. Now if we could just get Michael to show with some of his forum buddies- ECM information
Are there any similarities, in terms of how you have repaired Volvos ECM and this Dodge Ram Ecm? Or is it tough because its glued down to the aluminum sides like Michael says/ shows? I ask because I think the pin connectors for repairing are on the side glued to the aluminum case making it tough to repair. Is that right?- ECM information
How is your repair shop going?- ECM information
Mike this is fantastic your delving into this. You are a God send to all of us second Genners.- VP44 dead with 80 k miles?
I too think the super tech from Walmart is not as good. My other truck is a flatbed and the fuel fill is in the side rail making it tough to pour in the 2 stroke, so I have to use a cardboard paper towel tube extended in there. When I poured the Super Tech one day I noticed how much faster it soaked thru the cardboard getting my hands/ fingers oiled. I usually go for Pennzoil brand or West marine stuff.- Running erratic
A bit of air in the fuel lines could cause the problem check the suction side of the lift pump for loose fittings.- ECM information
How do you know how to repair them?- ECM information
Just cut the aluminum around it?. Is harness long enough to go further away from engine and make a bit larger watertight box beig enough to remount mylar leaving old aluminum around ?- ECM information
Make a new case that incorporates that into the new housing somehow? - Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
