IBM, you do good work but what's that CHP doin in your mirror keepin a close eye on you

New truck!!
You either have the 2 inch spacers on top of the factory springs or taller coil springs. Wheels projecting out the same is important and can only be attained by the adjustable track bar. It's important because an off centered front differential can cause vibration and excessive wear.

New truck!!
A two inch level kit can be done right like you say CSM but the key word is to do it right. Sometimes I think the 35 inch tires will hide some of the problems of a 2 inch leveling kit when not done correctly. Matt take a look straight down over the wheel wells to see if the wheels/ tires are projecting out the same on each side of the truck. That wiil tell something.

New truck!!
I didn't know about drilling the fuel tank for the Fass. I suggested Fass because other guys like the filtering. I have an Air Dog/ Raptor pump with a Racor brand filter in front of it.

Rail Pressure Troubleshooting
Bob, just some suggestions for reliability which may not solve your problem. Get rid of the inside the tank lift pump and go with a Fass with the filters. Cut out the screens inside the tank and get the 1/2'' drawstraw so your not picking up fuel thru the factory drawstraw which has a very small screened cartridge on it.. Get rid of all banjo bolts by going with 1/2'' fuel lines. Get rid of the factory APPS and get the Timbo Apps. Sometimes I think the guys around here miss these thinks just to make have to post.

New truck!!
Matt this truck you got looks real nice. I'm glad you didn't fall for the other one and the members here had a chance to help you with this. You should save your money and not get the Liberty module. The stock one can be modified by placing a half inch draw straw. I have the very first draw straw prototype Eric made in my stock module. Some thoughts; Inside the fuel tank lift pumps is big no no, Get the Fass and you'll have a prefilter to protect the Lift pump which lets you cut out those in the module factory screens. You can place 1/2'' ball shut off valves either side of the new Fass to change filters easier and not loose prime when changing the stock filter on the engine.... no tank drain back. Just go with 1/2'' lines all the way... Eric's got a good kit for that and makes a major difference in flow. The mechanical pumps so far so good but I still have an opinion that an electric L/P is going to show more reliable when talking Fass. The Jury is still out on this but I like the change ability to a new Lift pump if I'm out on the road. I carry an extra engine factory L/P in the tool box just in case.

Having Line X Applied to Hood
I tried that even with a buffer and some light compound but it's bedded into the clear coat. So deep into the sirface even after you buff it you cannot feel the spots. It was bad. New problem... I did something stupid and applied mop and glo to the linex to get a better gleam but it came out blotchy. I think another coat would get it even but I decided I don't like using the stuff. I think just a simple tire coating would have been best. Just wipe it on sort of thing. Monday supposed to be nice warm day so will get pics posted.

Mopar73 Full Eclipse Meet and Greet Camp Trip Aug 18th Thru the 21st 2017
CTD you should head north on California 395. Not much traffic and more mountains than Montana. beautiful high mountain country thru western gold mining towns and great places to stop over. BTW, the RV park has full facilities with showers and laundry

Mopar73 Full Eclipse Meet and Greet Camp Trip Aug 18th Thru the 21st 2017
I did not realize school starts much earlier outside of Oregon. My kids started the day after labor day usually. I hope you can make it Killer, perhaps a baby sitter and sleep in the back with a canopy? I wanted to tell everyone that the RV park is very quiet being that its on a very lonely highway so a nice tent could work for anyone. I know they have bathrooms but did not check to see if they have showers.

On the Hunt for a Slide in Popup camper
Bbbut aren't amorphious panels supposed to work in the shade? Yes less electrons going to the battery but you don't have that thing where when part of the panel is shaded the rest goes out. Plus they work better on a cloudy day. I ask all this mike because I'm thinking about doing almost the entire roof would bendable panels to make up for the inefficiency and they are cheap too. No validity at all here?

On the Hunt for a Slide in Popup camper
Hey Mountain Mikey, would it do me any good to go with the cheaper solar panel? Ilike the ones that are flexible to mold to my roof. They are not the multicrystal type like you have. I think they are called Amorphious type panels. maybe would not need a charge controller if they put out less amps and could just use a nighttime sensor to shut them down at night?

I pray that Michael Nelson has an easy fire season during this time. I know it can be his busiest time. I'm worried about that as I know he wants to meet everyone and take part in the fun.

Cruise Control Light
I would try to get most all the money back. Go thru the better business bureau if you have to. They will resolve issues like this. Don't forget to read the fine print on the back of the service contract...... I don't think it says they have the right to try out different parts..... they are supposed to do a complete diagnostics.

That's good cool experience Dave. I hope you do make it. It'll work cause camper won't be crowded since I found out wife can't make it.... she's manager to an office where it is still her overtime busy season. I found some rare 20 grit for the sander Great Daniel.... I thank you for taking note of the canopy, firewood and coffee. I got to see about getting a stack of viewing filters for everyone. Looked in my truck last night.... found the fun gauge on my pillar is already pegged

Eclipse is in full swing around 11:33 am Monday so you could gain on about 300 miles in the afternoon/ eve .Yes that is a long ways unless you fly out. Be willing to pick you up at the airport in Boise Idaho and take you back Dave. Problem is the extra bed in my Dinette is only 5'8''. Most complain it keeps them from sleeping. You are welcome to it Dave. I make real good coffee. The kind that can wake up an old Cowboy. Michael or Nick, would you be so kind as to take the bottom portion of this thread and start a new thread called'', Mopar73 Full Eclipse Meet and Greet Camp Trip Aug 18th Thru the 21st 2017?? I'm not sure how to do that. Thank you.

Having Line X Applied to Hood
You have to peel it. It will come off in one piece but you will be a body builder( muscle bound) by the time you get it done. I once had to peel Rhino liner off a small 2 ft. square part that they did not so good job on. It was tough. Had Linex redo it and it was great looking..

Mopar73 Full Eclipse Meet and Greet Camp Trip Aug 18th Thru the 21st 2017
Long as you make it there Tyler. There is some thought about bring firewood ( can supply about 1 nights worth), squirt guns for the heat, but, mostly need to get solar eclipse filters to save eyes. Eclipse day is August 21st on a Monday. Can start showing up in Hamilton the Friday before on the 18th. Mike what's the rv park name? Everyone can make their own reservations but, I will call to see if we can get a block of sites together as a tentative reservation. At least the nice people that run it can help out getting us close together.

Having Line X Applied to Hood
Too late now I've been linexed. It's dark outside and cannot get the grill on till tomorrow. So far looks good with no rock chips and fused in gelcoat. I will get pics posted for everyone interested tomorrow.

Higher amp alternator recomendations ?
CSM, you mention the importance of removing heat from the alternator... I think it's interesting that a lot of airplane engine alternators have a cooling tube aimed at the alternator to scoop in the outside air. I use old shop vac hose aimed at the ECM that scoops cold air from under the bumper. Hey at least it's flexible and it is black.

Having Line X Applied to Hood
I have a northern Lite fiberglass camper that has some very weird gelcoat, that if you don't keep it waxed it oxidizes very easily then rain will drip the gelcoat onto the black painted hood from the cab over. It is strange the way the gelcoat (white) fusses right into the paint (cannot feel any bumps in the surface) and will wax over very shiny only with big white speckles and drops. Think it has something to do with the way the black paint gets so hot in the sun too.

Who Has the Most Miles on a Dodge Ram Automatic Trans
Every once in awhile my trans hesitates for a second, then it kind of hits a little hard into the next gear. Does this once every so often, not all the time. Is that just a band adjustment?

Having Line X Applied to Hood
It's okay bud, your so nice to offer but, I have it scheduled for tomorrow and I really like how the linex comes out shiny. Me and my helper are removing the grill and hood. They said they will do it while we wait. I will post pics as Daniel wants esp. since I'm going to have them spray a finer looking texture and want all to see.
