  1. They say it's all about accuracy with these small calibers. Dieselfuture, why do they say that .22 is the deadliest rounds? Is it because of the small size combined with velocity in the Magnum rounds?
  2. I am still considering that one as well. It is very nicely made, beautiful pistol. I think my shots can be more consistent with a little lighter gun and not pack so much punch. I think it wise to go to the 9mm. I will look at this one thank you for the tip.
  3. You can just tell it's a for sure thing I've been looking at the 9mm's as well. I like the Ruger SR 1911, the Colt 1911 which I think may be a 45. Really like the Mossburg MC 20 compact for it's size and looks. Need to check reliability on all these before calling around for any of them. Right now just going by You tube Vids. I like the pocket size, not the micro mini size revolvers, just too small. This bug got started when I had a new 9mm Kimber in my hands yesterday. Nice stainless pistol for around $559. Came home looked it up and it's had some issues from other owners.
  4. Startin' this off with needing a good small carry pistol in the .22 magnum range. Lots of rounds. Something reliable for protection when metal detecting lonely strange places. Lots of cougar in one area I'm going more. Feel free to hijack too
  5. Next comes the beer, next the chit chat and a full blown party, then more show up from all over. Nothin' ever gets done.
  6. Don't get your hopes up around here DiselFuture. We just 'Restful Ranch' at the end of the trail.
  7. The batteries are paralleled, (wired as one battery bank) which dictates that both batteries get replaced at the same time with the same manufacture dates whenever one battery goes bad. There is some thought about running the charge lead to the drivers battery because that's where the battery temp sensor exists. But that's for another discussion perhaps. rRouting will be important keeping B+ charge wire away from the rest of the loom. Running to the drivers battery may require going up one size in wire gauge because of the distance. In your picture above you can see the stud on the alternator frame just nxt to one of the wires. That is for an external ground to the negative battery post. It is optional and is always a good idea. Grounding, as the factory does, thru the mounting of an alternator mounting is rusty, painted, corroded and is a poor ground. DieselFuture is right please toss the Fram filter and get Donaldson Blue if you can.
  8. My limited slip chatters a little bit in the turns. How much additive do I add? I changed the gear oil about 10K miles ago with Dino gear oil that had some friction modifier for limited slip. Chatter just started. Should I go 4 oz. and add more if needed? Thanks
  9. JMHO, I think both doors need to be built up to have square corners so they marry at the top. Perhaps have the front door overlap in such a way that driving rain can't get in. I think this may be the most challenging part of this project and part of the reason I mentioned a solid rear door... not only keeping the cab stronger but to help eliminate some design/ fabrication problems. again.... JMHO.
  10. This is why Mopar1973Man forum does so well... You always get down to earth information with facts to back it up. There is so much false information it can start to influence a lot of us but, MoparMan always has the vaccine.
  11. Pilothouse you are absolutely incredible .
  12. It has been sucking unfiltered air. Im sorry that happened but glad you found it sooner than later.
  13. I stepped out my back porch only to get sprayed by a skunk. Barely anything detectable, but a few seconds later..... it was bad. for two days everyone else could smell it when I got used to it. It would have been perfect time to visit MoparMan!
  14. I was wondering..... What does an electrical Gremlin look like ?
  15. @Mopar1973Man, where is that fender connector if you don't mind me asking? T.I.A.
  16. You guys see that video on the news about a lady that came home and found a cougar sleeping on the sofa under the back porch? She filmed it waking up and then it got up and walked out. Probably been sleeping there for a long time when no one was home.
  17. You are showing how the doors are going to fit together when the green section, you are holding, gets welded to the rear door, right? Don't want to tell you how but, is there a way to rid yourself of the sharp tip the rear door carries? You know, leave the curve in the glass on the front door but, add to the top and make both doors square at the top thereby letting the sharp tip go away.? After the vaccine Dripley has a long thin neck now he can look in the cracks for you. Oh grap! I said it
  18. is the exchange rate favorable? Also can you get across the border with the Virus panic going on?
  19. Sorry, you guys for my strong statements. I will cool it. At 69 yrs I'm just beginning to see the level of limited knowledge substituted by clever language in order to maintain a level of authority. Brings on much mistrust. My lawyer, very well known, taught me a lot in regards to this. Dwindling ethics among our leaders is a sign.
  20. Dr, Sam Bailey says the virus is everywhere that we are and have been designed to deal with virus ever since Dieselfuture's ancestors first discovered fire. I'm sticking with what's known. Dr. Bailey says the masks and the social distancing is a moot point that it's totally up to your immune system and how healthy you are at fighting off these viral attacks. It's been going on for centuries because virus are everywhere everyday in our lives.. Take a good look at FLORIDA if youn want stats. I like and believe the video above linked by DieselFuture. I think we ought to be more concerned about making a new one.....called, MoparMan pale Ale. I think most things are done for money that social security wants most of us to get the 'old folks disease' and stay on budget, big pharma is same way. I will trust God..... and continue smelling diesel every once in awhile to help kill the bugs.
  21. A lot of people go with those... seem to do just fine. I need a tiller to do a bigger vegetable garden. I have a south facing slope, gets sun most of the day in spite of all the woods.
  22. Nice State Dripley not to tax SS. The Redhead steering gear is doing well after a couple months. It is their standard stock replacement with some impressive upgrades over the parts store units that cost so much less. There's no leaks so far and steers very well. My OE only went around 230,000 miles. I will have to check my steering shaft for side to side play like you guys.
  23. Seeing your work I know you will plan it out well and be careful to think it thru.
