  4. The 6.4 wasn't much better........................and the 6.7 they run now is hit or miss; and they get piss poor mileage from what I've read. Just saying, not arguing or course!!

  6. That's the SuperVent brand from Menards..................I can tell by the chimney cap, as mine is the same. Each 3 foot section runs about $65. A set up with a thimble thru a wall (or window in this case) requires a stainless "T" and stainless chimney pipe up from there..............which he does have. Thing is, he doesn't have the proper chimney support or bracing, and I'm sure running a thimble or horizontal stove pipe out a window to a T isn't up to fire code. As I said prior................I can only imagine how this is on the inside.

  8. How not to do it!!!!!! First of all; to run the "thimble" thru a window without proper support, and you cannot see it in the picture, but the horizontal section is pitched downward to the vertical chimney!!!! OMG!!!! I can't imagine how this thing is set up on the inside........ Darwin award nominee perhaps???

  13. In order to get "good" mileage out of these trucks, you have to "drive" for good mileage. Put a raw egg under the throttle pedal, and try not to break it!!!! 1. Keep boost under 8psi...........5psi is better 2. Try to time stop and go lights so you never really stop 3. Air up your tires 4. Keep your highway cruising speed below 2,000rpm............68mph on my truck 5. Don't go to extra wide or tall tires...........increase rotating mass and rolling resistance 6. Smarty Jr. 7. Make sure you don't have a dragging brake or two 8. No leveling or lift kits..............increase air drag When changing your fuel filter, just bump the starter without trying to start your truck. The lift pump will run for about 20-30 seconds and prime the system. Then start your truck. If you do have the OEM lift pump, it could be getting weak. Check if you have the lift pump on the back of the fuel filter canister and then get back to this thread.
