I think .5-1 mpg gain is negligible and difficult to measure whether or not a product produces those results. It would definitely need to be done in a very controlled environment to prove that it does indeed create such a gain, IMHO. The BHAF, from what I can gather, is not so much about performance or mileage gain, but more about reliability and longevity.

Well, last time I weighed on a scale, I was probably around that same weight or more! I'm an SRW as well.. I think I curb out at around 6600lbs. So when I add my pin weight of my trailer, thats right about around that 10k or more mark. I think that if you want to be a stickler and stay safe in legal perspective, do not go over the ratings. You are going over the GVWR but not the RAWR. You probably have atleast 1-2k lbs more for your rear axle if you stay under that 2500lb mark. It'd be best if you went to a scale empty and then loaded to know for sure. As well I have never seen a 3/4 ton dually cummins! My rims rated for 3400lbs each and tires 3750 each. The 10500lb is right at GVWR for a 1 ton dually. But still there is plenty left for RAWR on that dually. IMO, I think that if you have/get some really good sway bars, airbags, shocks, and a good gear lube, you would be all right. Like stated above, wheels and tires are important. Check to make sure you have proper air pressure in the tires and tread wear is good. Last RV park I stayed at, the owner had a camper and boat she was pulling with her dually. She was cruising down the road taking her trip, and she had dual tire blowouts on the rear! She ended up in a ditch upside down. She did not suffer major injuries from it but everything was totaled. Her camper took the brunt of it and kept the cab of the truck from collapsing. Now, this is not saying you will have problems, but I think if you use your head and make sure you stay on top of things, you should do good. Heck, I'm pulling one heck of a 5th wheel with my 3/4 ton. I can definitely get worked up about pulling it sometimes, but I do good. Heres to hoping I don't get into trouble!

WELL! Some good news! She is still in the hospital, but she is out of acoma! The docs have been slowly decreasing the oxygen concentration from 100% down until they have apparently seen that her blood oxygen level is stable. I'm not sure whats next, but she is conscious and alive! Thank you all for any prayers sent her way!

Whats even funnier, is that its almost as if the manufacturer spend more on R&D to figure out how long to make a warranty for so they don't have to cover it right before it falls apart!

When I bought my AD, I got this less than desirable design spoken of. About 6-9 months in after install, it happened to me. Fuse blew and blew a fuse everytime I tried to replace it. Took 2 fuses to figure out something was really wrong. Towed it home and called AD. Bad motor! They sent over a new one free of charge since I had warranty. Took the old one apart and the seal to the motor was non-existant. Diesel in it everywhere...

Take off all of the bolts except a few at the top. Loosen them a little and pry the bottom. This will contain the fluid to drain at the bottom and limit flow.

Believe it or not, the vp44 will make the truck run whether or not there is fuel pressure. It will suck the fuel like a vacuum, but this causes wear and damage. I suspect you have the in-between design of the AD pump. I'm betting the pump motor went out, just like mine. First, trace the wiring harness back from the pump to the source of power. It should be connected to one of the battery terminals if done right. Inline, their should be a fuse on the power wire. No more than 18 inches from the battery post. If the fuse is blown, replace it with the proper amperage fuse. If the fuse blows again, then more than likely your pump has burnt up. In which case, hopefully you have a warranty card sent in to get a new pump. If you find that the fuse or wiring checks out, disconnect the wire harness plug at the pump and connect 12v power to the plug to the pump. This will tell you if your pump is working or not. If it is not, then refer to like above. If it does work, then its somewhere in the wiring that needs troubleshooted. Check the harness to make sure that it is in working order. Fuses, connections properly made, no corrosion, ground is good, and the plug that connects to the ECM is solid.

But, even with a mechanical, you can still get a filter block and be twice as better as an AD. AGPTurbo, if you wanna kick the idea around, I'd be more than willing to sell you my AD so I can buy a mechanical!

No gasket for the covers. Just sealant. IIRC, I believe in this instance it should be the orange RTV. If not, black should do fine. I usually stuff a rag over things and use a wire wheel to clean things up.

Get rid of the isolator. Its double redundant if you have a snubber... Yep, if your pressure goes below 14 at any point its not good. If it goes under 10, ever, its really bad. 10 or less will cause accelerated wear/damage to the vp44. Dont let your pressure go above 20 as well, though! Yea, we got one coming up at the end of February. The last couple shows have not been that great though. Jacked up prices and not a great selection of things. I always wish I could get down to Spokane for their shows but seem to never go. Meh... So, do you carry then? Does your state have laws on carry? Some states like AZ IIRC you do not even need a concealed to carry concealed. Here in ID we must have a concealed permit, but you can carry open without. So if you open carry, you do not need a permit, and that also does not warrant you must have proof of legal ownership, either. As far as being traced, I'm not concerned, the NSA snoops know all they need to know about me anyways. Sure, 64% believe in God.. What God? Its easy for a person to be spiritual and believe in an intelligent designer and label it God. What % of that then says they're christian? Although, you are alluding to the fact it would then require a person to own a data phone as some people do not own a data phone, like me. I also believe there is nary a chance in the world, that law enforcement is EVER going to allow their location to be known! Think about that for a moment. Any criminal can use the app and tell where any cop is at, at any given moment! 911 only activated? Okay, but think about how an average person under extreme duress acts? Their reasoning and logic, or acting cool under a stressful situation flies right out the window! Their main concern is to escape the area of danger any possible way. I'm not saying it could work, and the bugs would have to be worked out to make it a viable thing. But IMO, with my limited understanding, I would think it would be a difficult thing to work out. Personally, given the nature of the person who I'am, I will concern myself in CYA. I will obey the necessary laws to keep myself from being guilty in a situation as best as possible. If there were a road rage incident, I would not stop and flee the aggressor. At this point, I have a chance to get on 911 and disclose my location. While doing so, police will be enroute to your location as you progress. Then they will intercept the aggressor and stop them. Now, if during this process I just so happen to be in a foreign area and end up on a dead end road, for instance, then I have fulfilled my duty to retreat as the law says. At this point there is no possible way for me to retreat and I then have to defend myself. This is where I must defend myself, and with deadly force if warranted. At home, if a person is attempting to break in, the wife will be on the phone with 911 about the situation. She will be giving all pertinent information to dispatch as it unfolds. I will be at the ready with my firearm to defend my "castle" if said person is successful in entry of my castle. By the time a person calls 911 and has connection with them, they already have 90% of your information they need. :banghead: ...and they are trying everyday to make this so everywhere! This is still part of a registration scheme. We have all been technically registering our firearms since NICS. ...I guess they just want an up to date database with all the "mandatory" registration! Now they can build census information on gun owners as well! Don't be so naive!
