  1. And why did you get that color? Mine is Light Driftwood . I bought my truck from original owner because of its condition not the color, There were a couple colors that I did not want though I almost bought a very nice 97 with 4:11 gears
  2. Are the 4th gen, 3d gen factory aluminum rims 8" wide ?
  3. Toyos are going to be my next tires for both of my trucks I had black rims on my first truck in High Skool , 15x8 Stock center rims painted black on my 65 chevy short bed. Then I got white spoke rims
  4. Those rims look pretty good on a 2nd gen.....What kind of tires are those? I must be old,,,, I dont go for the blacked rims. I like the vintage rims like alcoas .
  5. Id go with national starter and alt. I will get a new denso starter from them next time my napa one dies
  6. Looks like it works pretty good. Did you use the brackets that came with it? . I wonder how you attached it under there? I just received a couple lights in the mail today, but Rock Auto lost my other previous order for my neutral/back up switch, and rear abs speed sensor. Post office says they created a shipping label but never shipped the package.
  7. I just bought a completely re-manufactured ECM, with updated software, and programed to my vin # for my truck, from a reputable known quality company How much $$ did you pay for that used ecm of another truck?
  8. The ones I got from napa. Real Mil Spec looks like this, Notice the quality and the nuts detail The ones I got from larry were just cheap chinese knock offs. Larry might have got some real Mil-spec in now. He said he just happened to unknowingly order thousand or so that were low quality knock offs that were not real mil spec Side by side you could tell difference big time, and the bolts and nuts were sloppy junk . .
  9. I just cut the bat terminals of my original cables(in excellent condition) . A local fastener specialty shop had heavy duty cable lugs and a commercial crimping press, they crimped the lugs on for free and used heavy mil-spec heavy wall adhesive lined heat shrink tube over top I used some real mil-spec battery terminals from Napa, and got a refund on the chinese knock off terminals that larryb sent me Im very happy with my cables and terminals
  10. Red, the third wire on the neutral safety switch(back up) aint on that schematic. The third wire is the ground for the starter solenoid circuit, auto trans USPS or rock auto lost my order/package of back up light switch and rear abs speed sensor .
  11. On a automatic the Back up light switch plug has three wires, violet/blk, brn/grn, and a black/? wire. Connect the violet/blk to the brn/grn and the back up lights go on..... What does the blk/? go to? Edit, Never mind,,,,, I found it in my service manual, the third wire is the ground for the starter solenoid circuit .
  12. Where is a good place to splice in the "toggle by pass switch" for the rear back up lights? Is the only place to slice in,, right at the reverse switch on the transmission or is there a better closer place ?
  13. I just ordered two Peterson 507 Par 36, Rubber Tractor/Implement Lights,(35 watt Trapizoid beam) from Rock Auto, best price and lowest shipping total http://www.pmlights.com/products.cfm?cId=3&fId=15&pId=622 Some places try and rip you off with ridiculous shipping/handleing/tax. charges. Grote and Blazer also make these .... Peterson mounting bracket attachment looked beefier
  14. Cool ! Im looking at bulbs ,https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/par36-sealed-beam-flood-lamps/ I have one 35w on my old chevy Im looking at the 50w flood to swap out for rear lights Not sure what these Halco Haloxen's are looks like alittle brighter and longer lasting.. Flood or spot beam https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/par36-halogen-xenon-reflector-flood-lights/
  15. Hey moparman mike, Are your back up lights on your rear axle just the Grote 64931 Rubber tractor/utility lights 35watt that you installed 100w bulbs into ? What about your old front ones that you replaced with the PIAAs/ same thing, rubber Grote housings?
  16. My old 81 chevy K20 4x4 has a old metel housing 4 1/2", 35 watt sealed beam back up light tucked back up under the rear bumper. Its been on the truck 30 years and the light its self is probably from '60s Still works great , and I can get a new bulb or it if needed I just ran across this vid Inexpensive vs mucho $$ LED
  17. Thanks Red Rambler I was digging in my trailer hitch plug wires I see the red/org is a heavy gauge...Found the purple/bll also There is a large gauge light blue... it is trailer brake So I think I have it figured out for my back up light. Now i just have to decide on a light. I think Im just going to get a 35w or 55w holagen , like a 4 1/2 Hella or small sealed beam instead of the Led stuff. I got a feeling the inexpensive led small 36 watt light bars etc are only going to last a year or two and burn out or rot away from the elements and water I also have a second trailer plug the original owner installed inside the bed for a Cab over camper or fifth wheel plug in. They tapped into all the bumper plug wires but they used completely different wire colors(stupid idiots) Like the B+ Red/Org they hooked a black wire Grn/brn has a large guage red wire tapped into it,,, Blk/org has a green wire tap Blk has a white wire tap
  18. Where did you buy your 40amp water proof relay ? Walmart? Specialty Electronics store?
  19. So Mike, Are you running your two 100watt back up lights mounted on your rear axle off that red/org B+ wire from the trailer electric plug? Id think you would be running a heavier gauge wire direct from your battery ?
  20. 10 AWG? So is one of the trailer plug wires larger gauge than the others wires? . .
  21. Oh,,,, Kuna ! Ive been looking at tons of 6"-7" x 3 1/2" , 36 watt flood beams. Amazon etc different brand.... Prices are all over the place but they all pretty much look the same. 2 for $40 and the same looking light -$160 to over $200..... whats the deal Its so confusing .
  22. They have non fail safe and fail safe
