Is for the power to stay on!

With the amount of snowfall we've seen lately, our total accumulation has seemed to reach about two feet by now. In doing so, we've lost power literally 6 times or more in the past few days.

I just lost power again. Heres to hoping the Christmas dinner Will go good tonight! Don't want to get caught without power in the middle I making a big dinner!

Many times already, on the way home from work, I've Had to cut trees out of the road just to get home. It's never a dull moment around here..

Nice you got snow for Christmas, we usually get some by now but this year only rain, I guess we had 8" few weeksago and it's all gone now. Yesterday it was 50s today 40s a bit weird, but I do live in Iowa, weather can be crazy here.

It's pretty dull over here.

Good that you have a manufactured home with two feet of snow. Yours sets up higher than a regular home so your floor elevation is better.

Ever since I became a beekeeper I've been thinking about living in a warmer place. It kills me not being able to see my bees for half the year!

I hope to put a basement in someday. When I bought the place the engineer told me the roof was rated for 40lbs a sq foot. I could get allot off snow and not need to worry. I'm in a valley and little clay as well, so drainage is good and I'm over a big aquifer, so I won't Ever need to worry about my well drying up!

The 5th wheel on the other hand,i I've already shoveled a foot off it!

Time to go plow!

I'm thankful I bought the plow blade for the ATV. Keep the driveway cleaned up is a snap. RV is tucked up under the spruce tree and keeping most of the snow off it.

Mike how much snow? Can you get a pic of Diesel in the snow w/ just his head showing?

How long have you been beekeeping? My dad has been doing it for over 37 years....he also artificially inseminates queens and sells them. I helped as a kid....till I was 16. It is becoming a lost art so to speak...here is a website for him....if your interested....vlwbeequeens.com

Your not the only one... This is highway 95 south of New Meadows, ID on Monday.

Then I was called out to Riggins, ID to look at the marquee sign and it fried from the power outage. Another claim on Idaho Power.

Highway looks like our 26, on the way to work last week.

We are officially getting a winter.

I believe the dog knows which side of the bread the butter is on. 

I also notice out of all those guys that are cutting up the trees that a few of them are scanning the trees. Looks like more those trees want to join their buddies on the ground.

Nothing wrong with eyes in the sky watching your back when anything can snap and you'll need to run to get out of the way...

Now that I got my generator ready to power the house we probably won't lose power for a year :-) 

 

It was 1° here yesterday morning. The pellet stove has barely turned off in a couple days and we actually have it on "high". 

 

I was down there yesterday to Ontario, OR travel temperature ranged from -7* to +7* from New Meadows... It was cold out that for sure...

Still standing on my porch in my shirt sleeves and shorts. Just wont quit raining. Several more days of this in the forecast.

What has it been at your place?

When Diesel hides in the blanket you know it's at least 40 outside

Down here in the hole the temperature is warmer. Low this morning at +21*F. But New Meadows proper is much much colder most likely below zero.
