@Me78569 @TFaoro Whats up guys! I finally have my truck back and I just finished loading the standard fuel V2.2 Tune.

Quick question: Which vehicle selection should I use now? Currently I am using the V2Dodge1998-2000 Ver 2.2.

Can't wait to get back to the testing!!

Glad to hear you got it going again! Better post some pictures so we know it actually happened :thumbup2: (Do it in a new thread)

Hey guys here is a list of my current tunes. Feel free to give me some advise!

My truck has: 5" tbe, BHAF, FASS 150.

It is a 5 speed and also has stock injectors.

Since I installed the iQuad I can't believe the power on some of the tunes! It definitely wakens the beast and gets her moving in a hurry. I have also noticed that my truck runs a lot cooler. If I coast down a hill that is a mile or longer my coolant temp will drop down below 140. Is this a common occurrence for you guys as well? I ran the two tune last weekend and averaged 18.4 MPG towing a trailer @63 MPH. This weekend I will be doing another 1000ish mile road trip and I will be interested in trying a economy tune you guys come up with.

On your "FUN" tune, I would back down the "minimum pump tap fuel percentage" and start with wiretap at a higher number. These VP's like to start fueling on the can-bus fueling and just add wiretap to make more power.

As for the cooling, I'd be willing to bet your thermostat is stuck a little bit open. In 20* or below mine will drop to about 180 (with the heater on) on a 1 mile downhill.

For your DD tow and mpg tunes I would beef up your canbus tuning from 0 psi to 10-15psi by a few %.  And raise your Pump Low Boost Scale PSI to above your normal DD driving PSI.

for your fun tune then just throw as much fuel as you want at it.  I would not suggest  Minimum Pump Tap Fuel Precantage: 50% haha, that means that if you go WOT you will get no less than %50 of your total wiretap.....  coal train, flooded turbo, smokey pig haha.  I would suggest a fun tune setting this at %25 if you really wanna get going.

We need to remember that Canbus fueling makes up %75 of the fuel your truck will get, wiretap only adds %25 on top.  So the more canbus fuel you run the more power you will have.

I would start on lvl3 only, and tune your canbus to be as aggressive as possible where you only have haze at WOT then start looking at wiretap.

The more tuning time you have the happier you will be.

Sounds good I will be tweaking the tunes and having some fun with it. Thanks @Me78569 I will keep you guys posted on the tunes after the road trip!

I woudl wager that your MPG will come up if you bump your cruise timing to ~2-3 rather than .55.

I tried that when I was towing and it went down to 17mpg. Would it be different if I am empty? I'll try it out here shortly. I am getting on the road. Stay tuned:thumb1:

The timing curves and setup is still quite a mystery to all of us being this is the first tuner that gives a wide range of timing control vs anything else on the market. All other programmers and modules have been just a boxed tune and take it or leave it type of thing so now trying to figure out what works best are going to take all of us to figure out and share our tune. So I've created a excel spreadsheet and going to keep it updated. I've also included an exponential growth calculator so you can create smooth fuel or timing curves. Set the start point and the percentage of growth and it will lay out 0 to 30 for calculation. For timing just think 0 to 4 and those are your numbers. Yes, Quadzilla does allow decimal point numbers in both timing and fueling.

Just wanna say thanks to @Me78569 for his coding abilities.  Those new backdowns are amazing when towing, really helps in the hills and when I can't be watching the EGT's all the time.

I am glad they work well.  I wasn't sure they would.

@Dieselfuture

I try to keep the latest stable flash in that thread.  The defueling is a part of the base tune so nothing else is needed.

I guess what I'm tying to ask is the link below for defuel. I'm guessing you have updated V2.2 Standard Fuel to this already and all a guy got to do is reflash a quad with regular V2.2 and defuel will be updated as well, and there is no need to follow link below. ?

Here ya go,give this a try.   It will pull as much canbus + wiretap as needed to keep boost slightly below desired level,  It will bounce somewhat around the limit, but for my it stablized at about 20 psi when the limit was at 23.    Once it finds a happy defuel amount it will hold until boost falls.

Anyways give her a go and let mw know what you think.

Safety defuel.

If you set egt limit to say 1300 the quad will hold fueling at a spot where max egt is below that.

Same for boost, say you set defuel for 30 psi, the quad will fuel normally until 30 psi then start to pull fuel.

the Quad will pull as much fuel as needed to keep egt and or boost where you want it.   I personally don't use the defuel stuff as I dont see a need, but others might.

Defuel as in safety defuel or defuel as in turning the fuel down lower than stock?

As in safety, had EGT and boost activated. When got close it just got steady and kind of held there without making it feel like my turbo just fell off the truck.

@Me78569 my waste gate has been stuck shut for years now, so I will use it, thanks for making it work. :thumb1:
