Titanium 150 Pressure Adjustment

Recommended Posts

Alright guys here’s what’s up! Canceled the order of the new fuel basket because I figured out a “better” way to do it! I cut the Draw Straw tonshort while trying to install yesterday. So here’s the deal: He Straw is sti long enough that I can drill a hole beside the basket and the tank vent hose and be able to use the rubber gasket from the stock pickup fitting to install the straw in that location. (Location pictured below) Pickup and return tunes will be plumbers in just like they normally would. Next I plan to add an inline 50 micron fuel filter.  Then I plan to JB Weld a piece of plastic or some other material over the old hole in the top of the basket.  This will be saving me the 357.80$ that I spent on the new basket with drawstraw. Who cares if it’s red neck cuase no one will be able to see it lol!

Is that enough room to get the basket retaining nut in there beside the head of the draw straw?

Thanks for pointing that out. It is very tight but I believe I can make it work. If it won’t work righ there I can make it work just in front of where my finger is on the pic.

Hole you drilled in basket, I think I would use like a 3/8 stainless bolt with two big Fender washers and a chunk of viton rubber something that holds up to diesel, with nylon nut so it don't come loose. I think it be stronger than J-B Weld in that big of a hole

Great idea! Thanks a lot! And that hole is from the stock fitting I didn’t drill that one just FYI....

Curious about the inline filter. Does the WS on the FASS not serve as a prefilter for the pump?

Some places recommend a 100 micron pre-filter to catch big crap out of dirty tanks to preserve the WS longer.  It’s not really necessary or worth it.

This.

I had one of those on my old stand alone Fass 95gpm pumps.

You don't need it with the filtered Fass setup. I don't know how many diesel bath's I took changing that out. And that was with bald jaw vise grips on each side clamping down.

It's  just a screen filter.

I wouldn’t worry about the seal job you did on top of the fuel basket. Even if it leaked it wouldn’t have an affect on your fuel system. You’re just concerned with the actual suction lines themselves being solid. :thumb1:

Thanks! There won’t be any leaks with the amount of rtv I used lol.

Oops too late now unless I get a new length of hose....

Ought to have the truck ready to roll by tomorrow afternoon! Changing the oil to my summer 15W 40 from 5W 40 while I’m working on it. Fass filters and stock filters being replaced as welll.
