Actually that looks like fun.  I'm sure he never complains about the mundane work... :thumb1:

The haul is, the rest is too much work for an old guy.:) This is one side of Salt River Canyon, so you can see the country we were in. The concrete trucks had to run with reduced loads to keep from spilling out on the steep pitches. All that rebar is placed and tie wired by hand.

Well I can't top that but we pumped about 90 yards today in the city. Settle pump up and had some trouble due to soil. The outriggers on the pump kept sinking due to bad soil.

That is 12 sheets of .5 inch plywood on the side the boom was not on.

This is the other side the boom was on. All that lumber is bowed down about 4 inches. It is a 38 meter pump extended about 85%.

A #6 is about the biggest we see on my projects but all placed and hand tied like what you are seeing.

And the finished product, 180 feet of retaining wall footing.

Should of got picture of the pump. They are an amazing piece of equipment.

Thanks for asking, I enjoy this kind of hauling. I don't do any of the concrete work, it is too hard and always heavy, lol

My son is a concrete contractor and does anything with concrete. This job was a cell tower base, 190' tall so it required a huge base. He does a lot of them and they are always in the worst places, so they can get elevation. Here are some pictures. the location was Salt River Canyon area.

The rebar for this application is #11 or 1-3/8" x 32" long and weighs 170# per stick. The load is 8 ton and is only 1/4th of the total.

Havn't even started the truck yet, when I was young and built a chevy 327 from a vette, I never finished the rest of the 67 Chevlle SS it went into because it was too fun too drive, so waiting to finish this project before I even fire up the engine. I had this trans in before I burned a hole in #6 cyl, loved it, very rarely had too pull it out of 6th. but I'm getting closer to finishing, got one new fiberglass fender fitted, just need to get the other done, paint them and the hood.

@Blueox01 Your pics almost make me wish my truck had 500,000 instead of just crossing 135K! Looks  beautiful. If you got more pics of the restoration lets see em!

Anyone ever see one of these?

Paint looks better in pics than in living color.

Have over 700 pictures, think people might get bored. Be glad to post whatever stage or component that interests you.

Go back to page 15, lots posted.

You have me wanting to buy an aux trans and put it in, but will have to wait, Double OD would help with mileage when deadheading, plus just fun to play with the gears!
