I thought we all had one. Its just now in wrong place. The fuse that is.

I'm sure not running the cable all the way back over ot the other side. This why I thought of the fusible link instead of the fuse. The fuse is a problem being it the element ever cracks on you your charging system is dead. Fusible link if you find that it blew you can strip and twist the ends back together again. DVM or a test light would verify that pretty quick.

Good question attempting to find a 140 amp fuse?

So I used to buy 150 amp fuse for the wheelchair lifts we ran a 00 cable from the battery box on the bus to the lift DC power unit.  We installed a Buss 150 fuse and holder at the battery compartment.  Can't find the one we used but Del City is really helpful.

This reminds me of the Frog giggers that the headlight fuse burned out and they noticed that a 22LR fit in the fuse holder, in place of the fuse.  Cost one of them a Testical if I remember.

They aren't exactly plug in but more like bolt down when you get up in that AMP rating.  You will need a fuse holder a fuse a couple of sheet metal screws and appropriate sizes cable lugs.

There are ANL, mini ANL, MEGA, ANN and MIDI type fuses to name a few with their fuse holders.  There is also the bolt down fusible link type that is in the PDC.  The ANN fuse and ANL fuse look the same but the ANL has a slower blow rate.   The mini ANL is about 3/4 of an inch shorter than a full size ANL.   The MIDI fuse looks like the ANL.

Another good place to find a selection is at Ebay

48 here... I was looking for my electrical dikes and hunted all over the shop, work benches, double check last places I could remember were I might have used dikes last. Hey, dummy! Look in the toolbox the dikes were right there in the drawer where they should be. I just did this yesterday and wasted over 2 hours looking for them.
