I need to vent before my head explodes

This may get long, but I'll try to limit it. I swear, everytime I see the news or just pay attention to what's happening, I get so aggravated.

 

I won't even get into my thoughts on the federal government. I don't even know where to start.....

 

 

Our governor in Illinois, J.B.Pritsker, was on a news clip the other day, saying anyone in politics that has bought their way in, or used their political power to enrich themselves or others need to go......

 

OK, fine upstanding viewpoint....

 

Does he not remember that it was HIM on the phone with BLAGOJEVICH, trying to buy the Illinois senate seat vacated by Obama when he got elected president, that sent Blagojevitch to prison?????

How he got elected baffles me to no end.....

 

Yesterday I see a news report from New York, that there is a clinic where junkies can bring their drugs, no matter what it is, get a syringe and shoot up under supervision, so if they overdose, they can be "saved". It's one of two across the nation, and they want to expand......

 

Then a news story comes up about a company that has developed a small device that is attached to the body of a junkie. It monitors the breathing of said junkie and if it drops too low or stops, it injects Narcan ands calls 911 so emergency responders can come to the rescue......

 

Today I get my second round of "free" (we all are paying for it if we pay federal taxes) covid rapid tests. Comes from a company called iHealth. They are manufactured for iHealth labs, inc.

I'm only scratching the surface of my frustration with politics and the way this country is. 

 

OK, I feel a little better just typing my frustrations out.....am actually considering not hitting post, but if I don't, I'll be back where I was. Thanks for reading and thanks to moparman for giving me a place to vent. Other forums don't want politics brought up.

I understand fully. My cable TV is getting cancelled due to all the plastic. It's on the news with plastic painted ladies, plastic information, plastic politics, plastic Rx adds, plastic or wooden acting. I am sick of it even tho I hardly watch cable at all. I don't like the way those painted ladies all talk the same and have no original personality of their own. It like they're programmed robots.

 

Last days there shall be many false prophets, says that in Luke 24 I believe.

It wasn't till about 4 years ago I bought a new flat screen TV and got Hulu. There is very little I actually do watch. Lately it's mostly NewsMax.

We are saving $528 bucks a year not having cable TV. That will pay for camping fuel needed for a round trip to go see IBMobile and his gang at camp.

I would love to cancel cable. Cable and internet is $256/mo. Absolutely insane.

Problem is, if I cancel, then my wife's head would explode.😂

 

Much simpler and more betterer to have mine explode.....

I've had my cable/internet/phone bill go as high as $225/mo. and had it reduced to $165/mo. with free HBO and included all taxes and fees for 2 years.  You can call your provider and speak to a customer representative.  You tell them "I'm going to cancel my account in one month because I have found a better deal with another provider"; be sure to research those deals first.  The one month is to give a time buffer incase you have to rescind the cancelation.   The representative will either ❶ take your cancelation order, say "have a good day" and hang up where later you will surly receive a phone call by someone in their retention department or ❷ Tell you to hold the line while they transfer you to someone else; a retention department specialist.   

 

The retention specialist will say something like " I can get you a discounted rate".   There will be a short pause while they 'look up' the discount.  Thet will then say "Oh, I can give you an introductory rate of XXX dollars for X year(s); how does that sound".    If it's lower than the other providers' deal take it other wise ask them to go lower to match the other provider; they most likely will get close or match it.   Keep in mind that they do have a history of every time you called and your rate history.  Some providers due two attempts while others will give three attempts to lower your rate before they give up and say " Ok your cancelation will go through".

  If people would open their eyes to what's going on around them, ask questions and with simple abductive reasoning so how most governments over tax and don't perform.  Example: California has the highest gas taxes ($1.18/gal,) and the second highest cost per driver for road repair yet California has the 7th worst roads, a ranking of 43ed out of 50, in the nation.  Why is that?  Well I could go on and on but then I may be just singing to the choir.  I hope they like what they voted for.

 I feel the same way. Everytime I watch Newsmax I have to limit my exposure. I can feel my blood pressure rise. It sickens me to no end how bad things are now and the possibility of it getting even worse.

 They just passed the omnibus bill which is 1.5 TRILLION dollars of our tax money! Some of it for Ukrane relief, some for "gender equlity" (what ever the hell that is) and don't forget the 21% raise they gave themselves while we struggle with the most expensive energy costs in history! WTF!!!!!!!

 There was also something in this bill giving the fed more control over firearms. Wonder why? Maybe its because they know that sooner or later we WILL be coming for them!

 Don't know if it's the coffee or thinking about this now but now I'm wound up. I'm pissed! I'm sick and tired! This administration needs to be fired and tried for treason! This has been a government take over! Someone or several need to hang! 

 The truckers in DC need to crash the gate and park the trucks in the white house foyer.

It'll be used to pay for the indoctrination of the school children in the acceptance and promotion of the L G B T Q I A life style.  1.5 TRILLION dollars; they are feeding the inflation beast.  How stupid are these people or their plan for another nail in the coffin of the middle class?  The Ukraine invasion; don't let a crises go to waste.

I think this why Bitcoin currency is getting popular but, I really think the American people will find a better alternative going back to a gold and silver coins and some copper. You know Dan they mandated our insurance pay for sex changes too now. I think our Gov't is a bunch of lazy bums that many couldn't do a days worth of real work like you and I can.

 

Think how sick they must feel inside, day in and day out, never really accomplishing any real meaningful goals. Like myself, I'm starting the most beautiful deck ever in my lifetime of contracting. Last week I finished a beautiful Oak floor in my home, a home that I built. I tell ya, when I laze around and don't do much it makes me feel not so good but, today starting that deck was fantastic with me and the excavator. What a great guy to work with and the client is absolutely gold.

Being there is no local TV or radio signal (RF signal). Everything is on the internet. Being the only place I can get news is at home. Yesterday LeAnna (room mate), Lynette (friend) and myself went to Lewiston for food and supplies it was better with all the conversations between us than watching the dumb  news or radio to find out what the world doing. 

 

All I can say is... Impeach Biden...

Last night on our way home I ate a testical (tesla)l for breakfast in our hybrid volvo xc40, stick that puppy on power and not on eco **** and boy does it go, my guess is the testical was low on battery

I skimmed over some posts and forgive me if I got it wrong, this garbage that is going on in Ukraine might not right now be on you guys "important "list, this clown gets away with this then at some point it will also hurt you too and much more than at the "gas" station

 

Our diesel is at £1.75 plus per litre, £2.00 is coming and maybe £3.00, which is £15 per gallon WW3 is not unimaginable and I for one  wish the UK government would squash this idiot right now, I would rather die standing up for right than die a coward and I don't care a jot on the cost to me

I do not understand Putin's thinking because even if you take over a country by destroying it, once rebuilt you still have to do business and commerce by trade whether the people and infrastructure is yours or is an independent country. You still have to pay the people to run and maintain the infrastructure either way. So what's the insanity in killing people and destroying well built existing structures?!

 

And Will, your right about the need to take care of of this before we become dead cowards. It piss's me off the way this guy can kill, butcher, maim, murder innocent children/ people.

Do you see the same news as we do ?? if not use a VPN and change the country where you are at

 

It is 2022 FFS, 2nd WW should have taught all people from ALL countries that we the people are not signing up for that ****, this idiot is mass missiling civilians and civilian areas, there are maybe 5 or 6 other countries standing by Russia and these 5 or 6 ought to be pariahs, I for one do not care what Putins reasons are what he is doing is not right, I am thinking about opening my house to a Ukrainian family for shelter, my first wifes father was Ukrainian and he fought in WW2 for us long dead now sadly
