I love my current truck but I found this one on craigslist and it's almost the same truck but 10 years newer and half the milage. My question for everyone here that's owned a 2nd gen and a 4th gen, would it be worth it to get rid of old faithful (and a lot of money) for this newer truck? Like I said I love my current truck, it pulls like a dump truck and sounds like one too, but I've driven my dad's 14 and I know how nice it is, especially towing. I've never considered upgrading in the past because I never thought I could find a truck that I could afford and spec'd out exactly like I want it. on 2013+ trucks there are 2 filters that should be changed every 15,000 miles. this should be done when you do your oil filter Parts needed / Part number 1. 68197867AB fuel Filter 2. 68157291AA Water separtor 3. 29mm socket f or the fuel filter cap 4. ratchet / extensions / elbows 5. oil filter rubber wrench is helpful for the water seperator Filter Locations Filter 1 is on the driver side of the engine mounted to the block. You will need a 29mm socket to undo this. You will also likely need a elbow or 2 to get around the hood cowl. Note the cap is plastic so take care not to strip it. …

Hello all, Had 98.5 for years but was stolen back in February. I’m now a very lucky owner of a new 2018 2500! Absolutely amazing in all aspects!! Question: when cold starting, (not really cold!) about 7°C, when the grid(s) cycle on and off there is a servo/motor type noise that sounds under the hood with the grids. On and off. There is a little ‘beep’ that is heard as well. Any ideas? Certainly doesn’t sound like it’s a malfunction as it matches the grid dash lights (on and off) exactly. Thanks all!! Ken

Spent many a hours trying to get 1-2, 2-3, 3-2 and 2-1 shifts to follow commanded as I set for the 68RFEin tow/haul mode in my 2012 using Warp Tuning to no avail. Was driving me mental wanting to stretch out the shifts but they just simply would not happen. As a result of not being able to stretch them out I wasn’t able to get 2nd lockup to occur at decent enough rpm where it wouldn’t cause heavy shuttering to happen during lockup engagement. With these issues, they also occur in the 2013+ models. I have discovered the reason as to why. For the 2010-2012 model years, MADS is pointing to the completely WRONG tables, but not only that, there is NO 1-2 and 2-1 tow/haul …

I've ended up with a 2012 Ram Truck here with low rail pressure. Been deleted EGR and DPF. It has a low rail pressure issue... There are 195k miles on the current injectors. I'm betting money they are shot. I've made the call to DAP for bench testing.

So I did this almost a year ago; but since someone on the forum asked me to post it I will. FIRST OFF: THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART: I've done a lot of conversions, engine swaps, and a lot of intricate trim work on houses; and by far and away, this was one of the MOST difficult projects I have ever tackled. THIS WILL TAKE A LONG TIME: The TRS guides lie; this will probably take you 2-3 days, even with my having paved the road. This was, by far and away, one of my biggest complaints with the Ram. Just wanted to share the part numbers for adding a factory skid plate. The skid plate package was $100+, as it has a universal cross member for all trucks. The diesel trucks do not need the cross member, as the DEF tank sits on a robust cross member that holds the skid plate. What you need is 1 ea: 68089777AB 4 ea: 6509896AA I got them at my local Ram parts department for a grand total of $47.05.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some input on your luck with TIPM's. Specifically if you have had your TIPM rebuilt? Or have you had sucess in pulling one from a Junkyard? I'm actually dealing with a bad TIPM in a Chrysler 200, however I've had no luck with a replacement from Dodge/Chrysler(national backorder). Nor does Rockauto/Pepboys/Autozone/ sell them. I've found websites online that list them as back ordered as well. Its been almost a week and I need to have this other car up and running, but I'm looking for input about rebuilding/or Junkyard ones and If you guys have and any luck with this issue. I have a 2013 ram 2500 4x4 with 3 inch leveling kit. Just had the front end rebuilt new ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, track bar, lower part of drag link. Took it in for alignment and the camber is out by a little over a degree. It had stock ball joints in it put stock ball joints back. Any ideas besides an offset ball joint? Thanks in advance

I am looking to put a 2012 steering wheel into my 2011 truck. I want to do this to get rid of the stalk that the cruise control is on and I think it is better looking with the button arrangement. I have seen a few threads where guys have bought the newer wheel and when they installed it the buttons did not work. I have looked over the wiring diagrams for a couple of days now and I see no differences in the way these two steering wheels are wired. The buttons are the same, just in a different place. I have yet to do any testing to see if the outputs have changed but I would also need to buy the new wheel first before I can do that. Does anyone here have any knowledge or in…

ok got out of 2011 2500 diesel locked the doors and walked away. looked over at truck half hour later back of cab light was on went over doors unlocked and windows are down. had key fob in pocket but did not touch any buttons on it, door locks only button on it. closed windows, manually locked doors and walked away again looked back a while later same thing again. left key fob in house has been alright sense then . any ideas whats going on?
