So I'll start by apologizing for having my first post be a cry for help, but that is pretty much where I'm at. I stumbled upon this forum while doing some research and to get you up to speed, about a month and a half ago I traded in my 2015 Silverado 1500 that ran perfectly fine for what I thought was a good deal on a 2010 MegaCab with a 6.7 that had been deleted, had aftermarket Headstud's, with an H&S Mini Maxx tuner, so about a week an a half of driving it occasionally around town dropped the youngest one off at school and came back top the house to grab something and went to leave and the truck was completely dead, no power at all. I get to looking and the drivers…

Hi all, first post on a forum so don’t tear me up to bad. I have a deleted 2012. I am due for a fuel filter change. I have the fuel filter in the engine compartment on order and will be installing next week. While I’m working on the fuel system I was wondering about installing a lift pump for more fuel delivery and better fuel filter and water separator options. I was hoping to do CAT filters but I’m having a hard time finding kits for 4th gens.

I have a 2014 Ram 3500 CCLB Dually that has a horrible shudder that I get only in reverse when im backing up a trailer or in soft/muddy conditions. I replaced the crappy two piece drive shaft with a custom 1-piece aluminum to get rid of the Chinese steady bearing. (you have to replace the complete drive shaft for $1600 on this truck from Dodge to change a $130 steady bearing). The shudder is not as bad as it was. I also changed all of the shocks with Fox 2.0 which again improved the situation but not fully. The truck has 76000km or 47224miles. It has 3500lbs in the box at all times the cheap dodge springs have sagged in 2 years and now it rides the overloads. (my 2007 doe…

article will show you how to calibrate a HE300VE turbo using a cheap arduino board and a Canbus shield. PLEASE NOTE**** This is not a magic pill for fixing issues with the turbo actuator. If the actuator is bad then it will still need to be replaced. We get a lof of questions similar to "hey I ran this and the turbo still doesn't work" This will not fix an actuator, only calibrate a good actuator to the physical limits of the turbo vanes. Parts arduino uno $15-$30 Arduino Uno Canbus Shield $25 Plugs ~$5 Wires ~ $5 Code turboreset.ino Canbus Library CANLibrarymaster.zip This code will …

Huge Shout Out to 14Cummins over on CF for this great writeup. Ok everyone recently I completed a projector retrofit for my old man's 2011.5. I could not find a very good detailed writeup on how to do it so i figured I would make one. This is for Quad headlamps and you will still retain stock high beams. To complete this retrofit I bought some used housings in the classifieds. That way the truck could remain operational and also I wasn't as nervous about screwing up a housing. Keep in mind this wasn't my truck. I had to repair where the previous owner cracked the mount, but I will tell you how to remove the housings so that won't happen. Materials I s…

Trying to get this truck to start after complete draw down. He left something on in his horse trailer which killed the batterys, not even a hint of a light. I hooked jumpers up and its been charging for 30 min. The light under the hood comes on but when you try to start nothing.

A friend has a 13 or 14 6.7. The engine oil disappeared. He has it serviced at Dodge every 3,000 miles. A red light may have come on but he being an old man he may have ignored it. Anyway Dodge said he needs a new engine and it will cost him $24,000. He said ok. I am sure this truck has under 100,000 miles on it. Anyone know of any internal problems that could eat all of his engine oil? My oldest dodge uses a gallon in 5,000 miles with 350K on the odometer.

Hi Guys, So Posting this on behalf of my good buddy, he spent wayyyyyyyy tooo much money figuring this problem out for me not to summarize and post something. -4th Gen 2010 Ram 2500 Bighorn Background - So While the truck was still under factory warranty, there was almost no issues or gremlins with the powertrain. After the warranty ran out, my buddy ordered an EGR, and DPF delete kit. Then he followed up with the Mini Max, and that's where the problem started. The issue - After the mini maxx, the truck ran all around great, but after a few months there was an intermittent stutter coming to a stop. What did not fix the truck…

Wonderful 6.7L EPA garbage. As you can see the EGR valve has loaded up the intake manifold with soot choking the engine for air or boost pressure. Enuf said...

A friend of mine at work is looking into getting a 4th gen. In talking we were trying to figure what trucks came with the 68rfe & Aisin trans? Is it a simple upgradable option? Aftermarket swap? Only available in certain trims? Also, is there any benefit with one or the other? Sorry if these questions have been asked already but I'm a 4th gen n0ob!

Hello all! I am from Texas. I am in Billings Montana at the pilot truck stop near the I90-94 split. Last night in North Dakota about 20 miles from the state line I got the message service required see dealer now and lost a lot of power. I stopped for the night at beach. I plugged in my smarty race me pro and did not have any codes. I went ahead and cleared it twice. I increased the power to level 3. I was at 0. I fueled up and got about 20 miles from billings and it started again. This time it shut down on me. I again check for codes and had none. I went ahead and cleared them twice and then did the break pedal twice accelerateor twice. I finally got it started and about …
