Recently converted my truck to a manual NV 4500. With the conversion we found the truck would go into limp mode (2000 rpm max before dead pedal) if the tank is at a 1/4. Truck runs perfect otherwise. Tested it today with running it down to 1/4 tank and did not have the issue until it was powered down. Thinking it maybe an electrical issue from the float assembly to the pcm. Fuel pressure is 15 psi solid. We also noticed today when fueling that the fuel remaining should have be appox 8 gallons, but the tank only took 22 gallons, it should be a 35 gallon tank. Previously we tested it by being at a 1/4 tank and going to the fuel station, we left it running and fueled, …

I have searched the forums and can’t find anything specific to my lift pump issue. I have a 2002 with 230k miles has a air dog raptor ffrp 150 and edge comp and fuel/pyro/boost gauges On the way to work this morning I noticed I had 0 fuel pressure I then pulled over and bumped the starter, the pump ran for roughly 30 seconds. I then started the truck and watched the fuel gauge it held at 15 PSI for roughly 30 seconds again and then promptly dropped to zero. I hard wired the pump through a switch and it stayed on then but it burnt the pump up. Has anyone had this specific issue and know a fix ? I’m really confused since it runs for t…

https://youtu.be/HOrBN5rbowk I've done quite a bit of diggin the last few days on here. And have came across several good places to start. But being mobile and searching through everything on a mobile device. Organization has been an issue. In the video above, it showing the trip and OD. But once you start driving. You get the no bus, message. And on the scanner I'm getting J1850 or CanBus not found. I've had a series of codes, though. Mainly being P0336 & the never disappearing 1693. Cam/Crank Sensor replaced, this week. It's an Encore Block, so it mounts below the ip. As well as an intermittent series of 1687,93,94,98. But only here and there since thi…

My 2001 will not start, starter wont click, lights will not even come on. Batteries have a sufficient charge but everything electronic seems to be completely dead. I dont even get the clicking when you open the door and the batteries are in need of a charge. Installed a new alternator last month and my Optimas are in great shape. I disconnected both negative terminals to see if anything would reset but it did not do anything. Started great and ran fine last night...:banghead: I know it is in need of a bath really bad and I have been driving through a heck of a mud hole getting to and from work...perhaps something came loose??? I had starting problems after a clutch switch went bad, I was out of town for work and the vehicle sat for a few months. I just put in fresh oil and added cetane supplement to a mostly full fuel tank. should I drain the old fuel and get fresh fuel? First time it has started since October. Thanks and sorry if this is a dumb question

Hey guys, Just a quick question here. Can the Edge comp be turned off and left hooked up and not hurt anything? Like when you go through adjusting the sub level and the lights go off before returning to the main level? if you just leave it off is that ok? Just curious because I don't like leaving it on when I take the truck in to get inspected and all....

Ok I was wondering does a vp ever get weak or worn out. I installed a Fass 95 and a sump works great runs at 17 18 psi all the time. Installed new Bosch rv275 injectors and a Quadzilla xzt. Every once in a while it idles very slightly rough very slightly. Tonight the wife and I went out to dinner and took a drive we went a back road three the hills it had a 5 mile down hill stretch I didn't feel it but the engine died didn't realize it till I went to use the brakes and had no power. Pulled over and it started backup after a few revolutions. I have a new Vp44 just need to put it in. Thoughts anyone?

Wanting to get a bit better mileage and maybe just a little more get up and go when I feel like it. I am a mellow driver but once in a while I like to step on it a bit. Nothin major. I have read about what some of you have done and here is what I am thinking now the truck is paid off. Assassin mech fuel pump, sounds like the electrical ones have issues here and there Big line kit Edge comp box Edge Insight CS Slight injector upgrade Now what I don't understand is what difference is there in changing the nozzles if you can just get whole injectors? Other than some extra coin savings. Plus any other input on what I have planned would be helpful. Steve

The past few mornings it's been 25 degrees here. I go and start my truck to let it warm up a little and get the frost off the window. Normally the grid heater will cycle after I start it for a few minutes this morning and yesterday it only cycled one time. It did cycle before I started the truck and one time after but that's all. I didn't have the truck plugged in. Is this normal or do I have an issue?

My heater is warm at best when the truck is at normal operating temperature, using a temperature sensor on my multimeter it's only about 100 degrees. Just had a new headgasket put on at a local diesel shop and the head machined and tested with no leaks or cracks in the head. Put a new waterpump and Cummins thermostat in it, not sure if it was a 180 or 190 but it runs right at 190 according to the dash gauge. What should be the normal temperature of the air coming out of the heater? And any ideas what to check?2001 3/4 5.9 L Standard output, rebuilt engine stock.
