I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 that a couple of days ago started giving me trouble. When you go to start the truck after the "wait to start" light goes out you get nothing, no clicking noise or anything, just dead like the lights were left on and drained the batteries. Try and start it 3 or 4 times and bingo it starts up like nothing was ever wrong. The bad thing is it doesn't do it every time. Both batteries were new 3/14/08The truck has no codesI'm going to clean the battery and starter connections, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue before. Thanks Dwayne

http://forum.mopar1973man.com/showthread.php/1278-Switched-Grid-Heater?highlight=switch+grid+heater that is sweet and i was curious if anybody ever did try it on 2000-02 and if it threw the check engine light. i really have no need for the grid heater in my neck of the woods and my remote start system waits for the wait to start light to turn off so this modification might be right up my alley. thanks.

Hey, Alright guys yesterday I noticed the indicator light wasn't working on my truck. It goes into 4wd but I don't get a light on the dash. I've pulled the switch and tested it and seems to be okay. I've tested for continuity in the harness and some to be fine there. I've done what the Dodge book says to do and haven't gotten a light yet. I've tried to jump the plug across and I still don't get a light. Any ideas?? Should I pull the cluster and see what is going on behind there?? Is the light a bulb or LED? The Dodge book says it is a LED, but I'm not sure?? It has been a while since I've had a cluster out on one of these so I can't remember how big of a de…

So, I went and bought a new flasher because I could not get mine to work (expensive square one). It works fine now with the truck off and can do my big trailers lights fine. BUT when the truck has its headlights on running or not, it simply buzzes loudly and cannot flash the lights, There is a little warpage of the place where the flasher plugs in I'm worried it has gotten very hot in the past to warp the plastic a little and I have no clue as to how to figure out whats wrong. I would assume a piss poor ground maybe? Thanks.

  6. Here are all of the components of the 2nd Gen A/C system, and what they all do. First is the compressor. The refrigerant is compressed making it even hotter, it becomes a high pressure high temperature vapor. http://www.mopar1973man.com//isx97/Truck%20Stuff/Ryan's%20Dodge/Under%20Hood/AC/IMG_1471.JPG After turning into a high pressure high temperature vapor, the refrigerant goes through the condenser. The condenser has ambient air running through it which cools off the superheated refrigerant, so much so that the refrigerant turns back into a liquid. Nevertheless, the refrigerant is still pretty hot and remains at high pressure. http://www.mopar…

Noticed this when I was changing out my carpet for a new carpet, water everywhere, everything is sopping wet and I had no idea! Where could this be from? It isn't antifreeze, just water. Probably something to do with the a/c system. Maybe this is why my truck fogs up on the inside so badly. Please help so I can get back on the road!! THANKS!!! ---------- Post added at 02:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:30 PM ---------- OH also was thrilled to death to notice the shifter boot is torn... Is this serviceable or does Dodge sell this as part of the nv5600 only? hahaha, kidding. But seriously, how much would one of these be? I am glad I noticed this…

  10. I had a garage install a new condenser several years ago, pretty well broke the bank & the dash plastics have never fitted just right since then. I've recharged the AC just to get by. The AC / heater is stuck on defrost (the default mode) so the vacume vent control is out. I haven't been able to test the vacume yet. (My ability to accomplish anything is pretty dinimished by my disability.) So now I'm smelling antifreeze. Might as well make it worthwhile pulling the dash.I just the Cirus back from the shop today. Brakes all around (discs, pads, drums, shoes, a rubber line), and hopefully sealed the rear tires to the rims. I might just sign my check & hand…

I was wondering if anyone out there knows if the 8 lug wheel dodge uses is the same as chevy and ford. I found a nice set of ford superduty wheels and tires for sale for pretty cheap and would like to get them. UNLESS they dont fit.

Like the title says, does anyone else have a problem with the horn/security system activating when you use the key fob to unlock the door? Its starting to get old lol.. Usually hitting the unlock button again will stop the horn sounding.. It happens about every 10-20 cycles of the door locks and mostly after rainy humid weather..Cant find any water getting into the truck. I know the truck has the premium central timer module because it has heated seats.. Can the central timer module be reflashed or does it have to be replaced? Also im supposed to be able to unlock the door with the key; turn it in the unlock direction twice and disable the secure keyless entry.. I have tr…

Just cant imagine the truck being leather power everything heated seats and manual mirrors... If I decide to go to electric mirrors where can the switch for the mirrors be purchased other than the dealer.

Guys, having a tough time wrapping my thick head around the heating and A/C systems on the Ram 2500. Have worked on cars for most of my life and never seen something like this.First off had a diverter door go out. Took it into a good A/C shop here in town and they fixed it, pulling the entire dash out and replacing the door assy. Drove off thinking that finally after owning the truck for 18 months that the little knob called the "temp control" might now work! Well dammit, it does not!Put the A/C in max A/C and no change but believe that this is normal. Move the mode controller to the second position, normal A/C and once again the temp control knob might as well not even b…
