Sounds like a lot of people done this, and my breaks are wearing fin. Does anyone know a place to get (5093268 AA and 5093270 AA front caliper brackets). Aside from dealer, I tried researching it but did not come up with much. I think I might buy pads and rotors from local parts store as they have life time warranty on most of their stuff, but brackets might be not as easy to find. Any help appreciated.

I'm running 265/75-16 tires. BFG KO's. I'm at 50,000 miles on these and they're almost bald. Any other semi aggressive tire recommendations out there? I run one set year round. 90% street use and 10% hunting on gravel roads, snow, etc.. Prefer tires with the snowflake so they're rated as traction devices.

I need some help and advice, please. I have a 01 2500 Cummins, and need to replace the front brakes and rotors. There is a fairly large torx head bolt holding the brake calipers onto the hub assembly. NO ONE has the External socket that fits this bolt. Where the h*** do I get this socket? I have spent two days getting nowhere but frustrated looking for this. An E24 is just a little bit too small and that is the largest that NAPA sells. Also, what size is the internal Torx that removes the caliper sliders from the main caliper assy? thanks for any and all replies! whodat88

Hi all, Just picked up a rust free 2000 from Florida. It's a 2500 Laramie SLT. Any good links on power seats? I got the forward-back working but could use the rest of the switches. I have power to the motors but appear to be jammed. This is my 1st power seat vehicle, so I'm ready to learn! Thanks, Dave

There was some talk on here about window deflectors a while ago. My B day is coming up and I thought I would put it on my wish list. Is there a brand or style that is better than others? What are your recommendations?

I am building my '99 2500 Shortbed 4x4 6 speed diesel into an Overland style rig. Not a crawler, but not a mellow desert truck either. I am looking at long arm kits, shackle flips, maybe going to 37s (on 35s now), need to regear and add lockers too. As far as suspension I am looking at DOR stuff...trying to get minimal lift with maximum travel and I think DOR has that covered between the long arms and the shackle flip. Eventually I might do the coilovers but for now I will likely jut respring the front and use my fairly new Bilsteins. I think I will do ARBs for the lockers...pretty darn pricey but it just seems to be the best strongest selectable lockers. I plan t…

Is there another bearing in the actual steering column itself? I just replaced the intermediate shaft that hooks up to the gear box and now the whole assembly wiggles all the way up to the steering wheel...I already did the the bushing that's in the engine bay. I'm trying get the steering tight on this thing and the hole just keeps going deeper. My old intermediate shaft only had about 1/16 of play at the bottom u-joint so now the culprit points to the column itself.

I have been having an issue that's come down to being a major pain in my ***. My truck began to have a slight miss in the pedal, rough idle and would die at times. So I ran some codes and Saw 0216. My mechanic said a miss in the pedal is probably the vp44 taking a dump. About 2 weeks later the truck died! All signs pointed to vp44 so we changed it out. Mind we didn't diagnose, just assumed that it died and wouldn't restart that was it. After changing vp44, 3 days later it acted up again. We check fuel pressures, and pressure tested the pump and checked for air. we found a voltage issue, a battery was shot, replaced it. Decided maybe it was the vp44, claimed warranty and …

Having to change front brake pads, with 270000 mi. Ive changed them more time than I can remember, I would like to hear some opinions on different pads, there is quite a price range on them at places like autozone, orielys and napa, from about 30 dollars to 90.00 dollars, I tow a lot and cant quite afford what it really needs, ( jake brake) I just tore into it today because of a leaky caliper to find out it has a broken piston so this on my list to do.

Decided to build a replacement center console for my 2000. It started when I could not find a suitable place to install my switch panel for the airbag inflation switch's and gauge. So I removed the center console and built a mock up out of cardboard and went from there. The cardboard mockup was 4 inches longer than the wooden one. I decided to attach the CB to the front of it. I ended up with a console 14" wide x 17" long x 15" on the back side(passenger side). It is 9" high on the drivers side and makes a nice arm rest. The panel is going to 16 gauge steel. I have to finalize the gauge layout and cut out the rough holes with the plasma cutter. I picked up some fabric tha…

I can't seem to figure this one out. I was having trouble with my brake light switch, got that replaced and working. Now i don't have high beams, cruise control, or day time running lights (Canadian). I have replaced the DRL module and have confirmed that my P/brake switch is working properly but can't think of where to go from here. I have followed the wiring schematics and still can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a wired back up camera that fits the 2001 3500 extended cab. The Hopkins 50002 system looks good and has good reviews, but they don't say it will fit the 2001. It is just a license plate camera. Anyone have any experience with these, or have a better suggestion. I just want to use it to make hooking up the trailer easier.
