i was changing my oil today and when i took out the bhaf and intake pipe i saw some oil on the fender well. it is apparently coming out of a hose with a funny cap on it. it sits about 4" in front of the pcm under the bhaf. the hose runs from the fender well to something on the front axle, passenger side. i am not familiar with this at all. there is not alot of fluid on the fender well and it is cover with dust so whatever is coming out of it is doing it slowly. seemed to be spread out to much for gear oil, but then again i dont know what i am dealing with. Can someone please enlighten me.i also heard what i think was the belt tensioner pulley starting to squeal. after it …

Hey guys I have a 125s in my truck right now, with compound turbos, I feel like my 125s aren’t quite enough to spool the turbos very well. Turbos are a BWs364sxe and a BWS475. Any help with figuring what size injectors I should go with. Was thinking 200s

I've had blue smoke coming out of my exhaust upon acceleration, after idling for an extended period of time, for a while now and it smells like oil burning, since I think blue smoke can also be excess fuel. Since oil can only enter the exhaust via the turbo oil seals and the valve seals, I think its the turbo because around 2017 (I think) I had my cylinder head rebuilt due to my head gasket leaking coolant down the side of the block. I haven't pulled the down pipe to confirm yet but its on the list for it. I'm getting into sled pulling with the truck so i was wondering if it would be more beneficial to upgrade the turbo since it would have to come out anyway. …

So I recently came across a BD super b special turbo for cheap from a friend. It's 64 /71/14wg. I picked it up thinking I could use it on my 12 valve but I starting to think its going to be to big to really reach the goal I'm trying to achieve.my goals for my truck are : 450-480 HP, still keeping it as a daily driver and able to do some light towing (my boat, my car trailer and my dads 28ft enclosed trailer) and also maintaining at least 23-24 mpg average.right now what I have for my truck that's not installed is :3gsk spring #10 plate with boost elbow and all the mods listed in my sig. I also plan on getting a clutch soon like a valair or south end because I know as soon…

Morning all, I've been having some issues with my daily tune for my Quadzilla. I have +50hp injectors that are 4 yrs/20k miles old and have had the Quad for about 2 years now. I can't seem to tune out the smoke In the 0-5 psi area on tip in acceleration. Cruising is clean and at 0-3 psi but anytime I'm hitting a small hill or pulling out onto a road and getting onto it there's a decent haze its not a black out but its enough to be confused/concerned about. It doesn't seem to clean up until 15ish psi. I don't know if pop pressure would be low or if my injectors are a bad set. Also I could have sworn I saw @dieselautopower mention that they updated their injecto…

Good day Gents, I have recently purchased a 1999 Dodge with 5.7 Cummins 24v and it came with iquad adrenaline "aggressive" setup. The vehicle had 275hp injectors which i replaced with 50hp just last week. When i first got the vehicle the programming did not seem to work: no matter what the setting, the power output was the same and fuel economy sat at around 14mpg. With the new injectors, there is now a definite response from the different program settings however, the milage has not changed one bit even with the lower hp injectors and a full tank of babying the throttle. I have read through quite a few of the posts, i appreciate your knowledge and willingne…

So the beast is up and running like never before! This truck is very lively now..but I need some direction. I have many years in tuning and building imports, both NA and turbo applications, but wrapping my mind around the best way to run a diesel is proving to be a challenge. Right now I’m running a pretty tight wastegate. I’m at or near max boost without wiretap. With the quad on level 0 it’s running about 30psi with the TC unlocked and about 35psi locked. On level 3 it’s about 33psi unlocked and 38psi locked. I’m limited to about 40-45psi with the K27, which builds boost so fast off idle it’s hard to tune for smoke...there is almost never any to tune off of! …

Hello, I need to cap of the factory fuel supply line. Back at the tank with the Dorman fittining. I have fuel that has been coming out when I drive it. I have since been done install a few weeks. I have the fuel pump on the block. I disconnected line from pump to fuel cannister because of using Vulcan big line kit. But didn't plug the old pumps outlet. Could I be pulling a vacuum some how? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,John

I ordered my new exhaust yesterday and wanted to tip everyone off to a good deal. I ordered from extreme diesel performance and got a magna flow 4" aluminized pipe turbo back for $190! It was originally $207 but I used a promo code for an additional 10% off. It should be here Thursday according to the ups tracking. I will post pics when I get it installed. No muffler on this one so I will have to wait and see how loud it is. I work on military bases though and I'm not sure if they will like it as much as I do.

Finally got around to redoing my A/C after sweating my butt off for a month. Replaced the Accumulator, Orface tube, and bought a clutched that worked from a buddy of mine, added refrigerant to it and the clutch isnt engaging when I turn on Max A/C and everything. My gauge is reading about 120 and according to my phone its about 82* right now. Anything helps, thanks!! Edit: I forgot to mention the 120psi is on the low side and yes I did evacuate the system for 45min.

My son and I spent about 3.5 hours out in the garage today putting on some new cables from Geno's Garage (supplied by CustomBatteryCables.com). I know, I probably could of got them cheaper if I made them myself but a late night of shopping for one of the one touch oil drains and somehow those cables made it into my cart too They are a really nice set of cables with all the lugs already preinstalled. They even included rubber covers to go over the terminals but with all the additional wires I didn't put these on all of the cables. They even have some grease and anti-corrosion pads in the box. The cables are thicck (with 2 c's) and don't bend too well. It …

I currently am working with a manufacturer to have an additional BHAF filter option. This filter uses Donaldson's Powercore technology and has a capable flow rate of 1300 CFM while filtering the air down to a micron rating substantially better than stock. I am currently in process doing heat soak and IAT temp checks and EGT checks at WOT runs, cruising, part throttle acceleration and transient boost speed from cruising to passing acceleration. Next tank of diesel will be a fuel economy test to see if any improvement exists. I will do my best to keep everyone up to speed.

The clutch I got my SB 1947 OFE installed the last part on November. It was nice to now have a non slipping clutch again. I am impressed with the SB. In first it engages smoothly, it is a little grabby launching in 2nd but nothing to worry about. It holds like the Hulk and I am very happy with it. i made one run of about 475 miles with the 5th wheel in tow and the comp on 2X3 and it handled it just fine. This was on a good mix of flat and hill country. No long grades to speak of but a good many short 6% or so grades. The clutch held great no matter what I threw at it. When I got home maneuvering the 5th wheel into my driveway went smooth. I was pleasantly surprised h…

I finally had time to unpack and check out this Screaming Eagle from DAP. My question is if this bend in the waste gate bracket normal? I haven't tried to pre-fit it to see if the bend was planned for clearance. My guess is it's been dropped at one time (shipping looked undamaged which is strange). Also looks like a good hit on the diaphragm as well. I guess I could bend it back for I'm wondering if I might have balance issues if it did take a hard hit on the floor? Really hoping to install this weekend but I probably need to hear from DAP first.

my airdog frrp lasted about 2000 miles this summer, so I put the newer stock carter on it just to get by. 2 weeks ago I posted a myriad of cold start problems, either fuel, fuel delivery, or just too dang cold issues. So, besides lucking out with a break in that cold snap, replacing filter, and dumping in more #1 and conditioner, I noticed the carter was not sounding very healthy too. For this go round, I put on a Fass drp 02. I got it bolted up, blue line cut to length, banjo fittings pressed in, and proceeded to 'blindly' cut the flex line for the addition of the supplied suction filter. I …

Hello all,I have been reading quite a bit and have recently registered. I have been putting my plan together and in doing so, have some questions that require some expertise and experience. My truck is a 1998.5 24v 2500, 4x4, QC, LB. Auto with 160,000 mi. My goal is realiabilty and only moderate power. I tow my dirt bikes and my parents 20' travel trailer sometimes. So here goes my plans and questions...My first step I have decided on a DTT transmission, before I start my performance portion of the build, for the piece of mind.Next, I plan on a lift pump (I prefer the Airdog for some reason) 4" exhaust, intake (either BHAF or the S&B dry filter cold air) Edge juice w/…
