Sorry gang... I've got to keep this short and say I'm fighting a local fire near my home. It started in the Hazard drainage and now is heading north threatening Elk Lake Road homes. I've got to be back on the fire line at 7am. I'll report more by tomorrow night.

Michael & Diesel (our doberman) were waking me up at 1am to inform me that a mouse had fallen into Diesel's water bowl & they were both in the kitchen attending this funeral wake. I asked him why he was waking me up to inform me of this breaking news event as I didn't care. I had no intentions of part taking of the festivities.....just go away!! So he's water boarding this little mouse & I'm going to throw him and the dog out with the mouse. Go to sleep!!!!

Lately, some May find I'm just a down and outer. I swear life isn't this cruel but Lately the past 2 weeks have just been that relentless! I got another story for you all and maybe I can receive a pointer as well too. Last night, was thanksgiving, we're hosting it here at our New place. Wife has been working away at prepping the dinner since the start of the week. Making pies and bread etc. I'll add this as well: Monday night she made an Apple, pumpkin and two buttermilk pies. Any problems with condensation build up inside a 55 gallon drum of new engine oil? I got a deal on some left over CI-4 rated Dello 400 15-40 but wonder about contamination.

What direction are we wanting to head with the theme of this site now since both Toyota and Nissan will have the same 5.0 L V-8 Cummins engine in them when Toyota releases their new 2016 Tundras.? The Toyota boys are taking the engine and increasing the power and fuel mileage over what Nissan has from what I have read. Are we going to welcome the newest Cummins owners or do we stick with the Dodge Cummins? I have seen no Dodge or Jeep eco diesel boys here yet either.

Well tonight was the first night of snow in our area. It's still snowing like crazy still as I compose this. Got off work and left for home around midnight. Was carpooling with the mother in law. Yeah... I just got more tools added to my collection I just bought a fuel pressure test gauge for low pressure side. I pick that up from Vulcan Performance. Its a wonderful 0-30 PSI oil filled test gauge that should work for most all diesel applications. Then I got me a test cap for common rail fuel systems from Geno's Garage. So now I can systematically block off each injector testing for bad injectors on common rail engines. Funny how your tool box continues to grow no matter what.

I'm ready for a long break after so much overtime. Sometimes as much as 40 phone calls a day and every other one can be an issue. Man alive...... I sometimes think success ain't worth it. Now that summer crowds are gone I'm ready to load up and go places, take it easy for awhile.
