I,m looking to install  boost and fuel pressure gauges and would like recommendations on which gauges to buy . Any advice?

Personally my favorite is the ISSPro EV2 series because you can do more with them than the EV series. They are programmable on a USB cord to set many different things in the gauge do other functions. Like setting the warning light to come on at a set value, setting the light brightness to your preferred level. Set the sensitivity of the needle to the data seen. Then if you want the gauge to turn on or off an accessory at a programmed level you can add the relay kit and do just that. Like add a cooling fan for your trans cooler and set the fan to come on at 180*F. Totally programmable. 

The Isspro EV1's are good also. The are less expensive than the ev2's but do not have the bells and whistles that the others have. They are good reliable gauges however if your budget is small. I have the FP gauge for several years and added boost, EGT, and a Tranny temp about 2 years back. Very happy with them.

I bought AutoMeter because they have a rebate going and they had my favorite gauge face.  I did not know about the functions of the EV2's last week when I surprise-ordered myself gauges, but here we are.

Put in AutoMeter in 2006 (boost,trans,EGT's) all are still working.  Went to add a fuel pressure gauge (which I should of done in first place).  Spent maybe 3 or 4 hours reading a the gauge makers saying how good their product was.  If buying again the options EV2 has is hard to beat.  

I have Isspro EV1s. If I could do it over, I would get EV2s so you don't have to mess with running tubing into the cab, just wires. 

Very happy with my autometer ultralite II. My dad's had a set of ultralite I's in since the late 90s that are still working fine.

I would recommend you get an EGT gauge while you're at it.

I know everybody hates them, but I've had Glow shift gauges for 2.5 years with no issues.

I've been checking into the install of gauges and want to know if I should connect the fuel pressure to the port on the FASS, tap into the line ahead of the vp44, or get the replacement banjo bolt with a port for the sensor? It seems the the pressure closer to the pump would be the important thing but some info I've seen says the port in the pump is sufficient. Any opinions?

Put a t on the line before vp at least a foot before, don't use tapped banjo. And then most will use a snubber or a small niddle/gate valve or both. 

I will be going to Hewitt gauges.

@jlbayes why?  I've hard good things about them but have never seen them up close or in action.  And what are you switching from?

Some of these gauges look nearly the same. Like the dual pyrometers.

I have seen the Hewitts in person I really liked them. I have autometers in both trucks right now.

So just switching it up a bit?

 

Yes. They fit the 2nd gen interior much better than the autometers. Not a fan of the isspros. Just not my thing.

Looks like the Hewitts are pretty cheap through Rob's site. Oh well.  I like my new autometers.
