The globalist and socialists are loving this panic and fear based suspension of our civil rights.

Yes I see milk shortages, sky high prices for each gallon in the market, that's what happens in the long run when economic balance gets upset like this.

I worry about not enough people becoming immune to this virus, not letting it take the usual course of dwindling out like other virus where most the population becomes either immune or finds they are already immune....... are we instilling a much worse situation, a real plague that will go longer term??. If we don't allow our immune system to do the work, its normal course of action.... what will we have in the long run? I speculate much.... is with the assumption that immune systems need a work out to stay strong against many of the different attacks.

The CDC has yearly illness reports.

It  is interesting to look at november-now here in the states for "flu like illness reported" this year vs the last few years, then look at "flu tests positive" this year vs last couple for the same time range.

What you see is a huge spike is reported cases of the flu in mid / late november compared to prior years, however if you then look as the number of confirmed flu tests the numbers are the same as the prior years.

To me this says that covid has been in the population since late november.  Right around christmas I was feeling off.  I had a lot of congestion that lasted ~2 weeks.  I didn't feel very bad, but I was hacking up crap.  It was pretty bad for me compared to a normal cold.  Then ~a week later my parents got them and it knocked them out for a few weeks.    They said they felt next to death.

As I have been thinking about this more I remember my wife's school having a TON of people out being sick.  It was a huge % of the kids out right before christmas break.

China was seeing this thing from early november on, the day after they gave the WHO the way to test for it we started to see reports of it.  It is impossible that it wasn't spreading out of China way before the Jan 21 first date we have.

all that to say I think we do already have herd immunity.

As far as the dairy farmers, I am a small time farmer as well. Not dairy but grain and recently taking on some beef cows also.

To help support the dairy farmers I just purchased a fresh gallon of milk and 2 gallons of ice cream. I know it sounds like something you would probably normally buy but I have been eating cereal for breakfast nearly everyday to help them out. Just a small contribution I guess but I'm trying.

I have been eating cheese and ice cream like no ones business.... you know to support the farmers :)

but really keep it up.  Even a small change by a subset of the population makes a big difference.

Oh good. When you got set up for camp did you bolt your camper extra heavy duty to the ground? I just don't know how that helps fight the corona virus with this shelter in place business

They look to be facing south. Not sure the would work flipped north.

Thank you I think you are right. I was almost certain they faced a different direction at one time, but that would never work.

I'll let the owner do the talking about his.

A local farmer here has a HUGE bank of panels. It's enough to power the farm on a good year he told me. He turns them twice a year to catch the best sun angle for the time of year. You'll see them either laying nearly flat or on about a 45 angle. I forget which way fro which time though. His he has to do manually with the attached screw jacks.

We have some local solar farms that adjust automatically in a similar fashion.

Knowing where moparmans home is and the orientation of the valley I’m pretty sure they don’t ever face the opposite direction.

However most photos he posts are from the house so I agree with @jag1 that it looks off, but it really can’t be.

I am glad for you Mike that you are able to get caught up on the chores around there. it's a beautiful place. I have a log splitter too..... my two arms, some wedges and sledge and axe. I love splitting by hand. Can't explain why, but I love that type of hard work like it's programmed. we hand split about 4 cords last fall and did most of it myself cause the guy helping is a lackey.

Hats off to you. I don't think I'd want to split that much by hand. We have a 27 ton splitter and it really saves my back, my uncle's as well. He's in his late 60's so I don't want him to over do it.

Correct they are facing south. Manual setup facing south. Only eight 50w panels for a total of 400w of charging power. As the season goes toward winter it difficult to get much light be the sun is so deep in the south and little time that the sun is even up in the sky.

I've got a 20 ton wood splitter as well towed by the ATV. This tree came down during the winter missed both houses and landed right next to Devin's tree. Devin is my step son that passed away at the age of 7. Carefully tired pulling the tree and the top broke out just before Devin's tree. Now I had to cut block out so I could possibly pull the fallen tree past Devin's tree. Needless to say it came out smooth as button, plowing dirt in my yard but I kept pulling. I only used the 1996 Dodge I didn't even fire up the diesel. Quickly I had a step son name Devin that was with me for 7 years. I with another relationship Valerie Aranada and Devin Aranada (RIP). Sad part is that Devin died from brain issues and serve ADHD as well. That little Blue Spruce tree has been the tree that everyone is buried under. I'll pull a bit of Mom there, with Dad and Devin.

Now I can fix the water line the tree pull apart as it slide down the hill when it fell. That was my main project the weather is improving and we need irrigation water very soon. Then I can ride the 1/3 mile to get to my head gate and fire up the water for the year.

Yet it seems to kill mainly reach and old. Have you seen a cdc guidelines for determining who has it. Basically saying if you have symptoms it's safe to say you have it, also those that died lately from whatever, guidelines say to document it as this 19 stuff. I'm not saying it word for word but it's pretty close.
