As the title says, I received an unexpected package in the mail yesterday. A brand new set of headlights, complete plug and play with turn signal and new halogen bulbs installed.

The wife though I went on a parts binge again so I was getting questions lol. I come to find out that a good friend of mine that had stopped over last weekend had noticed my terribly clouded and full of moisture headlights on my truck. He took it upon himself to order up a full set and have them shipped to me. They are basically stock replacements but I do greatly appreciate his generosity!

You guys have got it all figured out!  He buys stuff for you under the guise of a gift to pacify his wife and then you return the favor under the same guise to pacify your wife.  End result is both of you get new truck stuff without directly paying for it while both wives remain happy since neither of you are directly spending money on your trucks...only buying gifts for friends.

Ingenious! :thumb1:

I love them Chevys, they don't make them like that anymore. In fact gm sucks anymore. I'd get a tundra before a Chevy these days.

I need a square body Chevy like that.

I bought one of those brand new for $5750 just like that in 1979. It was metallic forest green with 4wd, three on the tree and a 250 6 cylinder. I loved that truck.

I would take out a good size Loan to buy them at that price.

I have to say I got really lucky on this one. It does have some rust but runs good with a fresh 305 v8, th400 trans and the famous 205 (I believe) cast iron transfer case.

The trans need a new pump, she leaks real bad but I only gave $1200 for her so no complaints

My very first vehicle was a '77 shortbed, 3spd. column shift and a 250ci. Later on I had a '67 long bed stepside 3/4 ton. paid $1000, drove for 5 years and sold for $1000. I'd love to have that one back.

It’s a little newer, but I had a 85 crew cab 2wd w/454 and TH400. It would pull a house as long as you had lots of fuel. It was however unbelievably helpless in the snow!
