HA! My sister is getting one, too! I've got one now, going on 3 years! I have an idea, ship him up here when hes older. I need to breed mine. :lmao:

Nice lookin pup man! I would love a dog like that but I am limited to post-11448-138698211761_thumb.jpgnot mine but you get the idea. I hope some day the sheriff will give me thumbs up

Boy does that bring back memories! Kid was 3 months old when I brought him home, he's now 14. My sons are 10 and 8 and they have been very close to Kid ever since they were old enough to crawl. The bond they both have with him is pretty special.

Enjoy every minute with that little puppy the time we have with them is much too short.

It's been a little over 2 years since we have had a dog, my last lab was 13. At the time it was a nice break, but now we are wondering how we went without one for so long!Housebreaking a lab isn't bad at all.

House breaking is easy if you do it right!!!

Our practice has been after any playtime in the house or if they are sleeping, as soon as they wake take them out. All in all I bet when we housebreak we have them out every half hour and they soon get the idea that outside is the only place they go to the bathroom. Housebroke our current dog in less then a week if I remember right

Show me a dog that can do something………………………….and I'll show you Lab that can do it better!!!!:smart::sofa:

How do you teach them to go somewhere other than on the lawn? We live in the country so there's oodles of places to go but it seems like the lawn gets chosen plenty often!

Repitition. If you want them to go in the woods keep taking them to that spot soon as you go out. Once they do their buisness i'm sure a small treat would add to the message that is where they are suppose to go

"Google", "crate training" and you'll find a "myriad" of info. Those links can explain "crate training" better than I can and make it sound a whole lot better also!!! I've done it with 4 Labs now!!!

Maybe you would want to talk to YabbaDoo? She trains dogs for a living.
