  1. Right now we don't even have one smoking gun to a possible need of a ECM so let that slide for now. I will not even suggest a high dollar part before finding two tests that condemn that device.

no sir, i will not i have spent way to much time in a insecure hole, NOT good. finding myself... GOD is good . friends are good. [i know ur kidding, no worries ]
  3. Heck at that rate if Russ went to Oregon I would have to follow the last bit of the trip to give you hand I guess... I really doubt Russ would do a cross country haul for a repair.

alright!, i'm out of my hidy hole completely now! Thanks staff for your help.
  5. Good timing Bill! I was planning to start a tread on this subject. [birds of a feather think together! ] did some searching on fri. on the PSM intake [which i like] & found the 'cool hose' as well. The 'cool hose' is on the way as i type! nice! i had been wondering how to improve the oem intake muffler, i already had gutted the muf. but was not satisfied with the 4'' to 5'' to 4'' step in the 'empty' tube. I also expect this to be much better insulated then the metal piping that some cold air intakes use. I'm still not 100% sure what i'll be doing about the filter/box. The S&B cold air filter that i have gets much better recommendations then the K&N when i asked around. Intakes are ''it seems to me'' one of the BIG3 in mods. for many people do on there trucks............ marketing works!, huh??!! PLEASE remove your silencer ring folks!, the turbo needs to be heard!!
  6. I did this mod to my 2010 hemi as my first mod to it when I got it. It is amazing how much dirt the filter catches that otherwise would be in the cab and in your lungs. I have changed the filter a couple times and it is totally loaded level with sand and dirt. I couldn't believe my eyes when I pulled it out just how much was in it. I do live in and work in the country and this rig sees more gravel than pavement as well as sitting in the parking lot of a coal mine with the main haul road just a few hundred feet away so there are a lot of days it gets a nice coating of coal dust and dirt layering it. Genos sells a kit now but before they did I found the part #'s off another forum and just ordered them, install is very easy to do. here is a link from genos with a video showing intall of the cab filter kit on a 4th gen ram in general. http://www.genosgarage.com/DODGE-RAM-CABIN-AIR-FILTER-KIT-10-15/productinfo/GG-CFF1012/#.VWCbJLDbKUk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhOmi7hnY-Q
  7. nice work on the turbo!
  8. I hope to get it up on the stand tomorrow and pop the pistons out. Pics of the engine mount below. Here's the shard that was in the pan. One side is shiny like it was scraped off, the other is dull colored. Engine mount: I used 6 motor mount holes - 3 pieces of channel and a chunk of plate. I had it all laying around so it was free, but it was a PITA to make! The flat plate will mount to the engine stand with 8 1/2in bolts. I finished up the turbo's elbow tonight. Here's the turbo and elbow together. I have the intake plate left to do, and maybe the intake horn if I'm feeling crazy. Close up.
  9. That's a fine looking human you got there.
  10. Best is to have ample overhangs keeping rain off of logs. If i ever build another log home, it'll have like 6' overhangs and ample prows covering decks. What about 2 cycle oil? Works wonders on cummins rigs
