Husky Liners
2 pointsMore exciting when you been driving the 5 speed then hop in an auto and stab the brake pedal for a clutch to shift and grabbing that ghost stick.2 points

How well does your truck pull 8,000 pounds
I also have the EZ and the RV275's but with a 4:10 and 245/75-16 with a 47RE. My 5th wheel trailer is 8k and some times I put about another 600 pounds behind that with a 14' boat, motor, gear and trailer. I tow all over: from the flats of Des Moines, IA to Jasper in the Canadian Rockies. On the flats overdrive is on and locked up with cruise control set at 65mph. When going up a long 6% grade I down shift to 3ed, the torque convertor locked up with my 'mystery switch' and the cruise control set to 55mph. I still have peddle left to go faster but why push it and abuse what's going to get me there and back. The fan clutch an a clean air flow over the radiator keeps any overheating problem at bay. This is what my gauges look like after going up a 6% grad after a couple miles and still going up. The exhaust is at 850°F, fluid temp exiting transmission is160°F, fuel pressure at 20psi and the boost is 20psi. The green LED light tells me the convertor is locked with the 'mystery switch'.1 point

Extreme erratic loss of power, feels like driving over washed out road
On my 02 the threads at the VP and the filter canister were the same. I just used what came with the AD to connect to the canister. The big kit I used did replace all the oe fittings on the filter canister and at the VP. They are not 1/2" due to the openings they thread into but the fittings are larger than the OE. OE is about 1/4" and the new fittings are about 3/8". They are metric in size I just forget the actual size. Pretty sure my canister is different than yours. Mine accesses the flter by unscrewing the top and canister stays place. I did not have to buy any thing other than the AD and the big line kit for the install. Most folks do plumb right to the VP but I still wanted the functions of the OE canister and the system works fine.1 point

How well does your truck pull 8,000 pounds
2000Ram2500, thats HOT and doesnt sound right for only pulling 10k... As I mentioned above, my house size triple axle toy hauler I drag around is heavy and big and I've towed it in 111* summer heat with the AC on full blast while pulling some long hills. Your transmission is either heating the engine up or your radiator is partially clogged or your clutch fan isnt working as good as it should...or a combination of all three.1 point

Extreme erratic loss of power, feels like driving over washed out road
Just run it thru the filter canister if you want to. You will jneed a big line kit to eleminate the restritive banjo bolts and fuel line from the canister to the VP.. I kept mine as part of the system. Vulcan Performance and maybe DAP carry them.1 point

Front axle centering.
1 pointNot sure if I ever concluded the issue in this thread or not. The track bar axle end was slightly loose and moving about 1/8 of N inch so tightened that up and it’s better. The rest of the play is in the steering gear.1 point

Big change in my life...
1 pointSucks to hear that kind of news, but hang in thier, wish the best for both you and your mom. I know I’ve had my share of ER and hospital time in the last couple years, not for my self but immediate family members in life threatening situations, A lot of times being in a hospital and looking for ways to pass the time I find myself surfing this site and it’s always been good therapy just to get your mind off of things . It’s good to know you got members close by that’s willing to give a hand1 point
