How does my turbo look?
1 pointSounded like a M-80 going off under the hood. I definitely had to check the pants after that one. I then drove it from Lynnwood to the to of Everett and back.1 point

No fuel pressure but Fass pump is working.
How would anyone know if you had tuner on it? Does the tuner leave a foot print in the ECM?1 point

DAP Injector Upgrade 7 x 0.010 @ 320 Bar
I think some good gains can be had with ecomony and smoke control with added pop pressure. I will admit the flow rate is reduced I'm pretty sure of that.1 point

P0336 / ECM trouble beyond standard troubleshooting
Found it in the ram forum.... You have to pull #6 main bearing cap off, then pull #6 rod cap off. You might have to rotate the engine to get the cap off. The ring is in 2 pieces with 5 screws holding it all on. Take the small section out first, then rotate the engine so the gap where the small section was is facing up. Then you have to manipulte the large section out. Assemble in reverse order...The tone ring screws torque to 71 in lbs...and use blue loc-tite on them. Main bearing cap...45 ft lbs, 66 ft lbs, then turn bolts 90*. Rod cap...22 ft lbs, 44 ft lbs, then turn bolts 60*. Oil pan bolts 18 ft lbs. I'll let everyone know how well it works out hopefully will be up and running by lunch tomorrow...1 point

P0336 / ECM trouble beyond standard troubleshooting
Yea I got all the parts in the bottom of the pan. Everything is accounted for. The issue now is getting it back on without pulling the crank @JAG1 I have tried to find a way around it with no luck. Destrocked diesel has a 35 minus 1 tone ring kit that mounts to the balancer but According to them it wont work as a replacement for the internal ring1 point

No fuel pressure but Fass pump is working.
My AD faied twice and both times it ran and drove. The VP will pull fuel thru a dead gear rotor pump. When my oe pump died it shut the truck down and it would not restart.1 point

No fuel pressure but Fass pump is working.
Yes, it's true it will start and run without a lift pump and drive at low speeds for safety yet. So does the AirDog pump and it will still suck fuel through the pump and run. My last AirDog failure it locked the pump motor up and blew the fuse. ISSPro EV2 gauge dropped to zero and lit the fuel pressure warning light. I was at a traffic light and still running. Drove a short distance to a parking lot and left it idling and tried changing fuses to see the 20A fuse blew. I drove to a safe parking spot. Then made the phone call for a tow truck. During my 2 hour wait, I was still starting the truck and getting heat in the cab to keep MoparMom and myself warm. VP44 is still doing just fine. Since I keep 2 cycle oil in the fuel this keeps the wear stress down and allows me to escape the low-pressure problems easier.1 point

No fuel pressure but Fass pump is working.
You could just put battety power to it first and see if runs properly. The bad thing with bypassing the ECM is you loose control of it shutting the pump down in case of a wreck and you are knocked out. If the fuel line ruptures the pump will keep pumping fuel untill you turn it off.1 point

fighting through my scenario............
No issues as of yet. I get more "thank you" and good comments from people and law enforcement for open carrying. Never once had any issues. Most of the restaurants, coffee shops, and stores I visit the owners and employees love the fact I carry openly. They feel more secure. In Oregon, it's legal to open carry never had any issues with law enforcement at all. Even while making my bicycle rides or shopping in these stores. Idaho now is concealed carry without a permit and even then never had any issues with laws enforcement. I think I've been open carry now for like close to 10 years.1 point

No fuel pressure but Fass pump is working.
Suggestion. Take that plate off and pull the plug loose from the plate. Now zip tie the plugs to the loom on the cowl. You'll find they move over towards the driver side a bit more. Then they are always out of the way. Lift pump positive lead yellow/white is from the ECM directly. The Black/White lead is grounded behind the starter. You might check the ground lead. Yeah you have to pull the starter out to see it even. you can test by red probe in the yellow/white and then black probe to battery negative. If 12V is present then the ground is most likely bad.1 point

fighting through my scenario............
Almost 14,000 bucks for building permits on a 1500 sq. ft. house with no garage. Now I figure they have about 11 hrs in total for the inspections and permit processing time/ paper work. Is that anywhere near an honorable honest government?1 point

P0336 / ECM trouble beyond standard troubleshooting
@JAG1 first off all input is much appreciated. I know sometimes as a life long mechanic we tend to dive right in and overlook the obvious. To answer your question yes sir all connections have been checked cleaned and "bond checked" to their respective components. All the harnesses have been removed disassembled inspected cleaned checked end to end for any failures, then reassemble to aircraft specs all bend radius of wires have been set to 6D or better. Then everything was loomed up and taped all the joints that could have been an issue have been changed out for solder sleeves then adhesive heatshrink on top of that. It has come down to the last thing in the equation, which is the tone ring. I wasnt aware it was a bolt on ring until @mopar1973man brought it up. But with the logic of the ECM and a signal that doesn't agree with the other inputs. I'm confident that once I drop the pan I will either find pieces of the ring in the bottom or the small removable section sitting there. I will post pics and updates once I get into the bottom end. Once again thanks to everyone for all the information and input Ok everyone so after getting the oil pan loose enough for me to see inside the tone ring is broken. It has sheared in half. So got a new tone ring and will post pics once I get the pan off1 point

Do you have any suggestions on the installation. I'm trying install without pulling the crank. I've got the cap off but there doesn't seem to be a way to install it without pulling the crank0 points

Old tone ring out. I'm not sure what happened and I am very lucky that there is zero damage to anything inside. I hope this is a one and done deal.0 points
