Down and Out
Man, when it rains, it pours. Last Thursday, there was an internet issue beyond my reach. What would happen is try to access Mopar1973Man.Com website, the site wouldn't respond at all. Making matters worse that I attempt to reach the hosting company, and the same thing happens. No response at all. Yeah, panic sets in for a bit, but after making a call to the sales team, they clearly could see the server was running, and pages were loading normally. My problem was just after the ground station of Starlink, there was a breakdown in the backbone of the internet. Just had to wait and be patient for the internet to return to normal to get to the website. I've been right here at home for the week and lost internet connection to the website for 4 days. Beyond that, I've been spending most of my time cleaning up the yard of all the dirt and debris. Most everything I had has been crushed or damaged in some way. Found my chainsaws, both under a huge chunk of concrete wall lying on top of both saws, and they are just beyond repair. Found a full-size front-load washer no taller than 3 inches, mashed flat. Most everything had mud, and water ran through it. Electrical stuff might be best to just replace. Then the other stuff was crushed by the pure weight of mud and trees. All the downed trees have been pulled out are leaving the yard in trade for usage of Dischinger Family equipment. Personal health note... My sleep apnea test came back. Not good to find out my oxygen levels are dropping into the 70's percent range as I sleep, not good. Thankful that the medical team informed me of my low oxygen levels during my ostomy surgery. Suggesting I talk to my doctor about taking a sleep study, it took quite a while to get this done. For the last 4 nights, I've had my CPAP and have been getting good sleep and staying asleep the entire night. Trying to split up time for everything is nuts right now. Then when you wanted to work on the website and loose connection to the website and hosting company. Yeah been a huge hang up this week and hopefully we can get back to work.

Water methanol for mpg.
Waiting to see it running. I'm really curious to see the outcome of your idea. Sometimes the crazy ideas teach you something along the way. (2 cycle oil, crankcase vent pipe, etc.)

NV4500 parts
@Doubletrouble he was the last one I heard that rebuilt his transmission. He would be a wealth of insight also with the tools you need.

Server and Workstations
Been a moment. I've been busy building these 3 machines. SERVER Now, as for building a server, this is my true first Linux Server I'm building. I've created plenty of desktop and laptop Linux systems. Now, let's roll back the clock to the good old days of Microsoft DOS 5. Starting a server is very interesting. The entire install is very strange, being we are all used to working with a mouse and keyboard. 😋 Now drop the mouse and just a screen and keyboard. Yup, there is no graphical environment here now. No mouse to use or icons to click. You have to know what you are doing to get one fired up. I installed Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Server Edition. Then installing the network management software took a bit to wrap my head around, be we are running a live server here at home. This machine will have several tasks to do in regards to the live website server. Then handle all the security cameras and store the video footage. It will be a large cloud server for backing up all our personal data and business data between workstations, laptops, and even cellphones. WORKSTATIONS The two workstations are high-quality machines for handling all the website work, video processing (KDEnLive), photo processing (GIMP), and much more. These workstations will bind to our cellphones. This will allow us to keep right on working, being text messages will display on the monitor. All 3 machines come with 2.5 GBit connection on CAT6 cable or WiFi 7, which is capable of a lot more. The main WiFi in the house was upgraded to WiFi 6. A huge improvement is speed. 4TB M.2 SSD Drive in each workstation. Storage of files and data is no issue now. The server will be tasked with making backups as we sleep at night.

Landslide updates
Lot of you might be a bit upset with me not being available at the drop of a hat. Sorry! Since May 29th, my life has been turned upside down, and been dealing with all kinds of issues. For example, I had a brake malfunction on Beast and was attempting to fix the issue with limited tools, royal pain in the tail. Thor has an issue right now with the injectors (again) and is short on time and short on tools to really dig into this. I've had some luck and got another family involved, and was willing to loan out their Bobcat track hoe so I could get this huge dirt ball off my driveway. I know there are a few of you asking about donations! Yes, we have a donation page up, and every penny counts now, so I can replace tools and equipment lost to the landslide event. LANDSLIDE DONATION PAGE - Also available in the normal menu. I've now created a full album of photos from the time of the actual event and the current status of what is going on. I'm going to keep updating with photos in the Mopar1973Man Landslide album. Stay tuned, a lot more to come! LANDSLIDE PHOTO GALLERY So if you are really wondering what I've been up to, this is most of my effort currently. I'm focused currently on clearing the driveway so we have access to the remaining home here. Mark and Hachi, my friend and his dog, were living in my guest house and helping me through my bladder cancer. Right now is access to the house is much more improtant being @Tweety Bird has a fused ankle, then myself with the ostomy bag; neither person should be walking across snow and ice to get to the house. My remaining time in the evening has been working on getting the work stations up and running and then build my local server here to manage data backups of our workstations, the storage of video footage from the security cameras, also the server that manages the network switch and provides a secure internet for the household. There is a few photos I want to bring to people's attention. These are from the shop floor, which I dug down to, and shooting photos from the shop. You are looking at the alleyway that I've managed to cut through the 4 to 5-foot-tall landslide. Thanks to the Rupp Family for the use of their Bobcat Track Hoe, then thanks to the Dischinger Family for still coming by and doing the advance moves of the very large trees with the trackhoe. Yup these trees were all removed from the landslide. Now, to show the forces this landslide had. There is a photo below of the large double-door refrigerator that was in that house. When I found that I was shocked to find the refrigerator. It was tipped over on its face and the pure weight of the mud and trees crushed the refrigerator to 3 inches tall no joke! You can see the remains of it here in this photo. Top of the stack. As for the 2 new workstation computers and the new server. I've managed to get my workstation up and running, @Tweety Bird her workstation is up and running, but there is a minor glitch with the motherboard not being willing to use the new video card and its abilities. I've got to investigate why yet. As for the Ubuntu 24.04 Server, this is sweet. This will be a true headless computer with no monitor or keyboard. Even if you have a monitor and a keyboard, you can only log into a textual operating system. No mouse or graphical interface at all. Extremely lightweight, server, and super quick. Currently, there is 16 TB worth of storage on the server. I've made a mistake in ordering the two old-school mechanical drives instead of SSD hard drives, as the mechanical drives won't fit my server case. There is 32 GB of RAM, so there is a lot of room for server software, which I'm still considering a lot of different stuff for backup routines, etc. So this is the environment that I'll be working in, and all the workstations and server will be firewalled from the outside world.
