  1. Really simple. The Pin Assignments on the sensors are different. Look at ground and signal assignments. 2001 A. Org 5V B. Blk/Lt Blu Ground C. Gry/Red Signal 2002 A. Org 5V B. Gry /Red Signal C. Blk/Lt Blu Ground
  2. There was at least 3 different MAP sensors that I know and the last two 2001 and 2002 can be interchanged.
  3. I understand the CCW part. How is it going away? Meaning it's going to be illegal to conceal carry? Or... It will be legal to conceal carry? More information wanted and needed.
  4. In regards to vehicle accidents. Most people are too quick to drive speed limit or +5 or +10 over. I'm typically -5 to -10 under the speed limit. I know there is all kind of blind corners, ignorant people, vision limitations with night time out here. So many times I've been close calls to people driving like "Jack A__es" on the road. Personally I'm not happy with the fact of speed limits over 65 MPH at all. There is no vehicle out that can efficiently run those speeds period. Now working with the fire department for over 10 years now. I really do hate working traffic on vehicle accidents because people cant understand there is a vehicle accident to slow down. I mean slow down from 65 MPH to 10-15 MPH as you go through a accident scene. Be here we are small and limited amount of volunteers for all agencies (except police) than handle anything that is toss out at us. Extreme distances to any kind of help as the way of hostpitals. Yeah we got a hostpital in McCall, ID and Grangevile, ID but 90% of the time those victims of accidents are sent to McCall to be packaged up again to be sent to Boise, ID or life flighted to Boise, ID directly. Like both counties now are limiting police force and where and when they can patrol. This is just increasing the time for response for them now. So it comes to down to preventing accidents and injuries for us. Being smart, taking your time. Be prepared for anything to happen.
  5. Nice in larger cities when that can get extra resources. Like for us out here you might end up fighting fire as a single person for a few hours. Been there done that.
  6. Being part of the fire department you see all kind of rude behavior. Like I happen to be coming up on a burning semi loaded with hay. I parked the truck and bailed up and identified myself to the local FD and proceed to help fight the fire and a helping hand. It the same token MoparMom was back getting people to pull over and not block the two lane highway. One guy walk up to her and was pissed off because it was going to delay his time schedule. He needed to get to Nevada like right now. I've seen people sitting cars and more worried about getting good photos/video with their iPhone than driving past the scene safely. Nearly had another EMS person hit by a car. I've been to accidents and had people upset because the Emergency Services are not as quick whatever city they live in. Again out here no one lives at the fire houses or ambulance bay. They respond from home to a shed to pick up th equipment. Even Life Flight has to fly quite a distance and then, locate a LZ and most time do a hand off with local crews.
  7. ??? Explain your post...
  8. So was I. I go the transmission out without a jack and placed back up without jack. I did use a jack for a few periods of time for angle adjustment. Floor jack is a help but also hindrance because of the fact of the lift amount is too short. A 8x8 wood block has to be use to fill the gap making it rather a balancing act if done wrong. Then rolling around on a creeper you keep hooking the jack or handle making things jiggle. Like I said I only used the jack to get angle adjustment. Then when I was close I started threading all the bolts in so the transmission is on slide pins more or less. Just jiggle a bit and tighen up your bolts by hand keep closing your gap.
  9. At least FSM shows that throttle and TV arm should move at the same time. Starting from fully forward on the TV arm.
  10. Normal on our diesels. As for gasoline it does show idling flow rates. Even my OBDLink LX doesn't show idle flow rates.
  11. They all the same. 60-65 HP period without a wire tap. Then is once you tap the wire you gain more control. You can directly modify the fuel signal for added timing and fuel. How this is done is adding more fuel pulse before time or just extending it. So now that the window of ability is open now your capable of controlling more so. Personally, I think Quadzilla has a much better tuning abiltiy over Edge but still Edge Comp / Juice holds it ground rather well. As for all the other non-wire tap modules and programmers you are stuck playing by the rules of the ECM / VP44 and can't exceed so you're limited on timing and fuel amounts so not to create errors within the system. Wire tapping now bypasses this and allows for direct modification of the signal this why there is an increase in power. Now that being said being I'm working with the OBDLink LX scan tool and I can tell you stock Volumetric Efficiency is 63% for ISB Cummins. Now after figuring out the effect of the Edge Comp on 5x3 its a 77.5% volumetric efficiency now. Roughly 14.5% gain.
  12. Yes. You can pus the screw right through the circuit board. Typically results in a broken corner of the circuit board and VP44 replacement. You need to check 12V at the tap wire with the key ON and not running. Most likely nothing wrong with the sensor but looking at connection that nothing is corroded or loose.
  13. Above picture shows the ECM voltage at 15.7 volts??? Max of 16.0 Volts??? That excessive voltage might be causing some issues.
  14. Just for information value. With Edge Products its backwards the higher the level thee better the economy. It's not like Smarty where you turn it down. So with like my Edge Comp even with the wire tap I see at least 3 MPG gain on level 5 (120 HP) where it barely 1 MPG on level 1 (40 HP).
  15. It's just not efficient. As for RPM causing harm, these engines take a beating towing. Like my trip to @Dynamic shop several grades I was holding 2,200 to 2,500 RPM towing 8,000 pound RV. The tires are your biggest problem. Just for fun if you can find a friend with stock 31" tires swap with him for an afternoon and see if the transmission works better. Cost nothing but time to swap tires.
  16. There is a dump port on thee valve body that dumps the pressure to lock up the clutch. So if th port is too big then it dumps too quickly. Dynamic should have a custom valve body plate you can replace yours with.
  17. All I can say is talk to him...
  18. Basically be limited to main level 1 and 2. But have the sublevel of control for fuel where the Edge EZ doesn't have.
  19. I would look at the injectors as well. Poor functioning injector can create a poor spray pattern and not ignite the fuel very well either making it rough. Excessive return flow could also bring rail pressure down making all the injectors fire poorly. The average life span of injectors is about 150k miles and most vendors would suggest having them bench tested. Rail pressure gauge or a scan tool that can read rail pressure is very handy. I would suggest OBDLink LX being its on sale now. Good quality scan tool and cheap in price.
  20. I try to advise people to stay away from washable air filters. I've got a truck here that might of ruined the turbo from a badly plugged up Afe washable air filter. It pulling oil in the compressor side of the turbo now. Take the main level as high as possible. Then use the sublevel to control smoke. 1-3 are defuel modes. Sublevel is accessed by holding the power button down for 3 seconds. 33% of stock fuel till 20 PSI of boost 50% of stock fuel till 15 PSI of boost 67% of stock fuel till 10 PSI of boost Sorry that's backwards. More fuel is always going to produce more heat. It the boost pressure that brings the EGT's down. Daily driver truck need a good quick spooling turbo. Cooper tires are nice aggressive tread but I hate to say it they are very heavy for rotational mass even in a stock 265/75 R16 size. Roughly about 20 pounds heavier than a standard Mitchellin LTX 265/75 R16. It will increase EGT's just from stop and go traffic getting that extra 80 pounds of rotational mass rolling. I had a set of Cooper STT myself and experienced the same thing end up getting rid of them.
  21. I'm sold on Dynamic as a rebuilder. Bit far for you unless you crate it up and ship it to him. I just spent Monday watching him rebuild my 46RE transmission for my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500.
  22. The only thing I would do to the Edge EZ is set the jump on +65 HP setting. Then be sure to seal the ends of the Edge EZ so water doesn't get into the circuit board.
  23. After spending better than 12 hours listening to Jon on how everything works inside and watching everything being tested using air. I do understand about the plate there is a slot in the of the separator plate and the notch is too wide for triple disc torque converter. Jon has laser cut modifed plates for the valve body. Might as him about changing the plate or sending your valve body to him.
  24. Nice trailer. Interior shot? Battle scars are set in now. Mine were pre-installed by the previous owner.
