  1. Back of switch is a mess! Doesn't look professionally done. I might just order a whole new unit. Not worth my time to trace down stuff. I bought in here, not DAP. But I'll be supportive and order a new one. At least I can use the old unit as a means of pulling in the new wires.
  2. Are we talking under the shrinky dink where the two cables come together?
  3. Great, that's the one that I need help getting to. What was the problem with the wire at that location? What to look for?
  4. I finally got my old yankneck model hooked up. Son is here and his hands small enough to reach the wiring at back of head. I've got the same codes as above. P0113 and P0118. Scan gauge says no response to cancelling the codes. Can i get a new generation switch/board and splice it into the old wires? Seems like the easiest solution.
  5. Wife got me a backup camera for my birthday. Came from Costco. Has multiple install options from plug and play to hard wired. Pretty excited about being able to see my trailer ball when hooking up!!! It's a Yada brand.
  6. BD sump and hit the brakes to slosh the fuel into sump when starts running out? I can remember my dad swerving back and forth rapidly to get gas to keep coming up when I was young. I ran out once too. Leaving my house requires going up a pretty good hill. So far my solution is to fill up more often.
  7. Is the dyalisis a temporary or permanent thing? 3 times a week would be hard where you guys are located.
  8. Those Warden's are 50 psi max tires. They must not be 10 ply? Adequate for cummins trucks?
  9. It's all in God's hands. Prayers do help. Keep em coming! I've got a friend in Star if you really need some help.
  10. Prayers coming...let us know how things are going!
  11. Changing suspension is a black hole for money. Be ready.
  12. Too much time on our hands...go with 1/8" and use a needle valve from napa to adjust down to where the gauge doesn't flutter. Every once in a while I gotta go under the hood and open and close the valve. Maybe gets a piece of debris in it? But the needle valve is barely open. Also the valve gives you the option to shut off the line going to the cab, in the event of a line failure. I consider it to be necessary to have the valve in place. It's all relative. Use a mechanical pressure gauge to verify pressure from the gauge in the truck. I put a tee for my test gauge. The hose is long enough to go to the cab or under the truck to adjust pressure on pump. Got the gauge from Vulcan.
  13. We should rent out a smarty for DIY. Like $50. Probably cheaper than a dealership visit. Maybe we could find an old one somewhere?
  14. Welcome back Cotter!
  15. Time lapse video please! Transmission swap in 5 minutes.? Now I wanna do it!
  16. We get freezing rain here. Nothing like studs for it. Driving on 1/2" of wet ice is slick!
  17. Not studable?
  18. Wow, mine were toast at 50k. But I tow 90% of the time.
  19. These look like BFG KO knock offs. Not an extremely long wearing tire.
  20. 3rd gen wheels are 17". 265/70-17 are the same diameter as the stock 265/75-16. Then you could go to 3rd gen calipers on the front for more braking power. I got some off craigslist with tires that had 1/2 tread for $300. You guys understand that these tires from treadwright are re-treads, right?
  21. Did you take pictures ?. Good luck...watching with anticipation. You mean you got the automatic out already?
  22. Are the battery cables themselves pretty resilient? Can a guy get by with replacing clamps? Mine are bottomed out from cycles of tightening. I suppose I could spread and file down the flats that are touching. Also a quick cleaning seems inadequate. One really needs to take the time to clean the entire lead surface. I gotta believe that having even a small area of corrosion can speed up the re-corrosion process. I spent 10 mins this morning just cleaning the terminal/battery mating surfaces.
  23. I know from previous experience that a corroded battery cable can effect transmission shifting. But why? Does the bad connection create AC noise or totally different issue?
  24. I adjust mine so it doesn't drag and bites well without excessive pedal throw. Not scientific.
