High Idle Kit Is Here
I haven't seen any installed pics except for Moparman's. Here is mine installed in the cubby hole. I am curious to see how the guage pod units look installed.

If you make one, make sure to let us in on the build. I noticed this too.

PacBrake question
Interesting, I didn't look at banks at all. It was between BD and Pacbrake for me. My memory is a little fuzzy, but a long time ago I was watching a video and the exhaust brake cycled on and off a few times when he started the truck. I wanna say it was a banks. I do not know if that was owner or is that part of the computer system to keep the brake operational? Correct me if I am wrong. They sell em everyday LOL. I never thought I would have one. I never needed it, but after a couple years of towing the bigger trailer I am looking forward to having it this summer for going to car shows and camping.

PacBrake question
The Pacbrake has that too since I used the ECM to control it. I would have to say it is about the same. What I meant was when the brake engages it takes about 2 seconds to build pressure since it has the downpipe to pressurize. That's was my impression when I drive it anyways.

PacBrake question
I worked on the exhaust leaks and while I was under there I decided to move the brake up to where I was originally going to install it, next to the trans in the downpipe. That is where it is now and the exhaust leaks are gone. I cut the weld out on one of the flanges and welded it on the downpipe which I had to cut a section out and add back in downstream. I moved the outlet pipe with flange up and rearranged the exhaust accordingly. It is going to make access to the trans fill plug harder but it will be fine. I kind of like the delay it takes to build pressure, it isn't such a sudden engagement. I would compare it to a newer farm tractor with a electronically controlled PTO. You hit the switch and it takes 2-3 seconds for the PTO to be fully engaged. Updated 1-21-14 added pics.

PacBrake question
AH64ID it is a PRXB for that reason. The cam is stage 2. I am going to get some fasteners from fleet farm and hide the air hose in the box under the bed rail. I really wanted to mount it by the trans but decided not to because I was afraid it would block access to the fill plug and make it difficult to fill the trans. If I don't like where it is now I may just move there anyways. Cutting and welding isn't too hard. The k&n elbow hit the compressor. I bought the bhaf because I was afraid it would hit and it sure did. I threw one in of the trailer, that is one it is hooked most of time now.

PacBrake question
I don't drive the truck in the winter and that is why I mounted it where I did. I drive my other truck for work year round and the '00 is used mainly for longer trips and towing. I only average around 6k a year and half of that is towing. My drive to work is only 7 miles and driving it doesn't make sense. The big reason I wanted one is I tow a 32ft trailer and it is not very light. I only drove up and down my road which doesn't have much pavement showing. I had in 4wd and it sure did work good. I did not get to DP gauge yet. I still do plan on installing, but that may have to wait a month or two as I spent enough on this so far. Probably won't until I get tax return. When I get home later today I will try add the pictures I took.

PacBrake question
PacBrake is installed. I still have an exhaust leak to fix, but it still slows down in hurry. Took me the better part of the weekend. It wasn't hard to do, but being sick slowed progress. I ended up ordering the adapters for installing in the exhaust and is mounted by the transfer case. I was surprised the switch pac mount was aluminum, it was nice surprise. I thought it would be plastic. I didn't really follow the instructions. I did read them thoroughly. I mounted the exhaust brake first. Then mounted the compressor, followed by the air tank on the frame. Ran the wiring harness and mounted the relays. I spent the better part of an hour removing the little plug from pin 20. Ended up removing the plug from the ECM and pushing it out. Ran all the airlines. That was as far as I got Saturday before I had to leave. Today I started in the cab wiring up switch. I wasn't sure about where to mount the air supply on the truck. I ended up installing it in the box at the back by the tailgate. I did this for a few reasons. First if I get airbags down the road I will probably get the one you inflate with an air chuck by the license plate. I use my tailgate as a work bench often, I race RC cars and at the outdoor tracks it will come in handy while working on the cars. I will add some pictures soon and get my exhaust leak eliminated. Overall I am happy with the Pacbrake. Edited 2-14-14 Added PacBrake part numbers. C44064 PacBrake Remote mount exhaust brake '99-02 manual trans C18041 Switch pac C11400 Remote mounting group.

San Francisco Vs. Green Bay
Nope, I know a bunch of people who are. They are crazy. Temps around 0 with winds around 20. I am not a big fan but I think this game will be talked about for a long time afterwords. I will be listening to it out in the garage though.

Edge Products Or Actual Guages?
What did you do after the display quit working? Did you fix it or remove the edge?

Edge Products Or Actual Guages?
I have a Edge JWA, it has been on the truck going on 7 years soon. No problems to date.

2 Stroke Diesel!
Noise propels them that's good. I had a some interesting conversations with my uncle who drove truck for almost 40 years about engines. He did not like the 2 stroke Detroits at all. Fuel hogs, oil leaks and high maintance. Once he became an owner/operator all the trucks he owned had Cummins. There are still a good number of 2 strokes in farm trucks around here. You can hear them coming from over a mile away and most have mufflers. I see some drivers where big hearing protection ear muffs. The little foam ones you wedge in your ear are not good enough.

Death Wabble
What size tires you running. I have two family members with '06's and one has a death wobble. The one with death wobble has larger tires than stock. Everything was checked out in the front end, so I have been pushing him to buy the right size tires. The other has used stock size tires since new and has over 110k with no issues. Edit: The truck with the DW has 60k. on it.

High Idle Kit Is Here
That won't be necessary, but I definitely appreciate the offer. I have a box full of remnant's that I can look through if I need to. Anyways it would cost more for the stamp than the tubing. I hear they are raising the cost of stamps again. Happy Holidays.

High Idle Kit Is Here
Sorry it took so long for me to reply Yankneck696. I am having problems with notifications being emailed to me. I am very happy with the unit. The tubing you supplied was more than enough once I found out what its intended purpose was. I cut them at 1/2" and left a small gap between the unit and the bezel. I did not want one pressing on the other and making noise or any unforeseen side effect. If I want to close the gap later it will not be hard to do. Again very happy with the unit and congratulations on getting it to market.

Head gasket boost leak?
Exhaust leak somewhere? I would check the manifold gaskets.

01 NV5600 Shifter Knob
I used a small flat blade screw driver.

01 NV5600 Shifter Knob
Threads are M10 x 1.5mm. The one I got from genos still looks like it did when I got it 4 years ago. I have no complaints. I try to keep my hands clean before I drive my trucks. I do not like feeling dirt and grime on the wheel.

01 NV5600 Shifter Knob
Idk if you were trying to turn the whole knob. But there is nut under the cover with the shift pattern on it.
-
01 NV5600 Shifter Knob
After I got the nut off, mine slipped right off the shaft. The nut wasn't even that tight.

01 NV5600 Shifter Knob
I bought one from Geno's. I like the feel of it, it's like a que ball with a C in it. Kind of expensive though.

High Idle Kit Is Here
Received mine Saturday, installed it today. Works just like it is suppose to. Took me 2 hrs. Running the plugs was my biggest challenge as I have a number of other wires there. I had to ream out the mounting holes on the face plate to make it line up and cut off two alignment tabs on the dash that stuck out. Otherwise it was a very east install. Edit: I see why the tubing was in the kit now, I was wondering now I know.

If you go to the dealership make sure they turn on the 3 cylinder mode. I had to go the dealer and get the TSB done and made sure to tell them to enable it.

I see where the wire is cut at the end of the gray bundle. Is that so you can run it into the cab and then make the final connections?

Getting Tired of Snow Already
I drive a gas truck in the winter too. It has an awesome heater. Today it was -2, but after 10 minutes of driving it was nice and cozy around 80 in the cab.........then I had to get out and go into a cold barn. ugh
