Best Mod EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
181/210. I just called Hamilton and asked them to send me what they thought I needed. I tried PDE also but they are Canadian and wouldn't ship after 11am to the east coast. I bought American.

Best Mod EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole front of the truck comes off. Most of it is pretty easy. We changed the tappets. That was pretty hard even for my mechanic. --- Update to the previous post... Exactly, the sound of the turbo out of the tailpipe is amazing. It spools so early that my truck sounds like an airplane. I can break the tires loose from a dead stop and I couldn't do that before with my automatic. The power comes on earlier and lasts longer.

Best Mod EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just put a hamilton cam in my 01. I can not say enough about it. It made my paint look fresher and the seats smell better. Girls smiled at me more. Oh yea, the truck runs soooo much smother now as well. The turbo is super loud through the exhaust. I don't think you would recognize the sound of the truck as a 24v now. It get almost instant spool, lower egts, better mileage, it revs to 3500 almost instantly. This will pay for itself in a month the way we drive the truck. I am definitely getting one one in my 05. That will be the first non trans mod I get in that truck.

Anybody Really Know the Answer
According to the bluechip site the answer would be yes. He says you have to pay more for his upgraded 65hp pump to not have heat rise from that type of programmer. I say horseshit. If you have a good fuel pump you will be fine. I run my trucks for days at a time in that weather pulling heavy stuff without issues. Biggest problem with the hot stuff is getting the ac to stay cold!

Be sure to check blinker fluid and throw in a new can of honk. Also, check muffler bearings. These three things are the most overlooked issues I see.

Troubleshooting dead end on dead pedal. Apologize for a long thread in advance
Have you tried resetting the APPS? The thing with the brake and cruise control is probably a small vacuum leak. These sound like two different unrelated problems.

Troubleshooting dead end on dead pedal. Apologize for a long thread in advance
Mine is an automatic. I did not know that about the manuals. I just didn't think you were describing a dead pedal issue. It only happens over 70? Mine happens in the 60's. Also mine comes and goes and isn't predictable. If you can't turn a big gear it is more likely a fuel delivery problem and not a dead pedal. I might be misunderstanding what you are saying.

What do you mean by fuel delivery problems with cruise control? Cruise control is vacuum operated on your truck.

Have you checked the fuel filter?

Towing in OD or Drive for my 5th wheel
There must be other factors at play because I get better mileage going 63 in overdrive at 1550 to 1600 Rpm's than I do in 3rd at 2000. I have found that I get the best mileage at 12 lbs of boost in OD vs 20 lbs in 3rd to maintain 2000 rpm's. It is also a lot quieter in the truck in OD!! Most of the stuff I tow I would have a hard time getting to 2000 rpm's in OD.

My name is not ISX.

bhaf????
Mine are trashed around 30k or 40k miles. I like the lower egts but I get tired of buying them. Napa has them on sale the second Saturday of every month in most places. I get mine with a napa account and I think they are around $40. I need to start driving in the places you guys are because i can't make one last 100k miles.

Deep Trans Pan 48R
I check the fluid level every 1500 miles and replace the fluid every 30k. I smell the fluid when I check the level. Also, there are only certain situations that cause lots of heat. If I think I pulled up a hill for too long in 2nd gear I'll check the fluid. If I am always in lockup I don't worry about it. I am buying new trannies or rebuilds pretty often with two trucks doing 150k to 250k miles a year. If I could find a way to make them last longer I would do it. I had one tranny I paid $1200 for last 314k. I have others that were twice that and only lasted 100k miles. I'd put 5 temp gauges on it if I thought it would help. There is rarely a temp increase before any of the break. I had a cooler line break in -20 degrees. I didn't know until the truck stopped moving. The input shaft broke without any temp increase. I have broken lots of planetaries and they didn't raise the temp either.

All hitched up and running away...
That sucks. Sorry.

Update on my truck
Absolutely no drone. You will be amazed. You have to get it as far forward as possible to fix the drone.

Torque Converter Lock-UP
There is no point in it if you don't have an exhaust brake.

Crusie Control and Towing
I don't believe anyone has a 10k plus trailer that doesn't gain speed downhill. I tow things 12' wide and 14' tall. There isn't enough drag to slow it down. Weight is weight downhill. If you aren't picking up speed maybe your speedo is broken. The brakes would be on fire if they were stuck on. They would melt the seals and burn the grease. It is very scary when that happens. Same with bearings. If your trailer has surge brakes it s pretty coming to get a dragging brake. That is the nature of surge brakes. If you have electric brakes then it would be abnormal.

You won't get anywhere standing back there. You need to get in the truck and push the skinny pedal.
-
Why monitor boost?
I drive by boost and not mph. That is the best way to get mpg's. The more boost the more fuel you are using and vice versa.

Update on my truck
Forget the muffler and get a 4" x 30" resonater from Fast Track Enterprises in Ohio. It is one of the best upgrades for your truck. He can sell you the whole kit. You'll get a straight through exhaust system and then cut in where you want the resonator to go. You want it as far forward as possible. That means it will be just beyond the bend of the DP. You will thank me after you get it installed. I installed mine myself. All you need is a saws all.

The other problem with the lock switch is high egts when your rpm get too low.

Crusie Control and Towing
The road to Chatanooga (24) has a five mile stretch of six degree hill. Do not test if you will pick up speed here. You can just be sure you will. That is a serious hill with a trailer and it has some nice curves and no breaks.
