  1. I want to know the temp of the fluid going in the trans. That is the fluid that it is running on. The fluid coming out is always hotter.
  2. I like to measure the temp of the fluid going in my transmission.
  3. West Palm Beach, Fl
  4. Mike "Mopar1973Man" Nelson. The most helpful guy you'll ever meet!
  5. PATC has it. I didn't get one because I couldn't see a temp port on it.
  6. Cruise control uses more fuel but I I use all of the time.
  7. I tow in OD with the cruise control on.
  8. Mine does as long as the button was pushed before I started. If I hit the button mid cruise it downshifts and stays a gear lower. I have found it pulls much better in tow/haul when I am towing.
  9. Unlimited miles? I'd like his number. That's a warranty I could test.
  10. My truck did this when the injectors went bad and a few stuck open. You can have the injectors pop tested and see if they are the problem. There is not any way to adjust the timing on the pump.
  11. Does the white smoke go away after the truck heats up? Could be a leaky injector. My truck blows lots of white smoke if I let I'd idle for too long. The block does not stay hot enough to burn all of the fuel.
  12. 0500 is a speed sensor problem.
  13. I blow my rims pretty often. I usually find out when I can't find a leak. You must have been hauling too much wood in the bed Mike.
  14. I change the filter and fluid every 30k miles. I am towing most of the time so I don't accelerate all the quickly. I use a triple disc tc and and a shift kit. I haven't done anything to the 05 yet. I have been reading a bunch just like you. I don't see how the 47re and 48 could be all that different if you can interchange a lot of the parts.
  15. The APPS could be bad too. I wish there was a way to tell which one was causing you a problem.
  16. I just bought an auto 05 too! I love it. I am going out to remove the silencer right now.
  17. It says 999999. It didn't flip. I was really hoping it would.
  18. I will be on 95 in Virginia. Probably between Ashland and Fredericksburgh.
  19. 2001 Dodge 2500 qclb for sale. Low miles, gently used.
  20. A lot is putting it mildly. Sometimes it runs for a week at a time. I don't turn it off once it is started. Sometimes in spring and fall I turn it off at night if the weather is nice.
  21. I am going to reach 1 million on Sunday. I am pretty excited. I like the graph but there is no way I averaged 13.5. 11 or 12 would make more sense. I am leaning toward 11.
  22. It would be safe to leave it in my driveway. I could make sure it got started once in awhile.
  23. I had to do the second head gasket because I reused the bolts the first time. You live and you learn. I changed my oil every 20k because i thought that was what I needed to do. I drive a lot of highway miles and it seemed reasonable. I switched to 8k because I got scared. That being said when the head was off it looked pretty good. I have never had any oil related problems other than leaks. 997,662 so far.
  24. How many parts is a good question. I get asked that a lot. I can guess at a few. 1. New tires every 100k. 2. Too many u joints to count. 3. Three gallons of oil every 20k miles for the first 500k mikes and three gallons for every 8k miles since then. 4. 2 head gaskets. 5. 4 transmissions. 6. 2 rear ends. And a partridge in a pear tree.
  25. My motto is "Safety first, safety second."
