  1. Dynamic Transmisson out of Spokane, WA are a reputable builder. They (owner, John) re-built my trans and I'm happy with it. One potential option for your brother in law.
  2. Merry Christmas gents.
  3. Yeah a mix of old and new school design. like the look of the new brown leather interior and the matte grey paint. See a lot of these retro builds these days. I bet it fetches a ton when its sold. Mark
  4. Some may have seen this build. thoughts? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmSBnK8j7aB/?igshid=NWQ4MGE5ZTk=
  5. As a fellow Brit also on here the words "knackered "and "Bollocks" are words used frequently in my house. And the occasional Cockney rhyming slang!
  6. Man, you’ve thrown the kitchen sink at it.. And you bought this truck not running w/unknown mods. Do you know the history of why it stopped running?
  7. Did you try and bleed more lines? Last time I replaced injectors I needed to bleed all 6 lines before it would fire.
  8. Some food for thought here on a single towing turbo setup over compounds. I’ve put a couple thousand miles now on a ATS 3000 (58/72/12) and it spools quick with enough top end. I’m happy with the performance towing my TC and boat behind it through the WA state mountains passes. I’d say this is a close performing turbo to the 57/65 GX-E turb which a lot of people seem to like. With the right tune and maybe a slightly smaller tire you might be just as happy with a single rig. Mark
  9. Yeah I think Genos has a set of cover craft pet savers. Think this is what I’ll do.
  10. Cool. Seems Mike you give interesting names to all of your things - Beast, Minnie, Diesel the Doobie....!
  11. Anyone recommend any good rear seat covers that will hold up for dogs for 2nd Gens? Lots of choices out there. Curious on the best fit given that there's no head rests for the 2nd Gen rear seats to strap the covers down. Cheers, Mark
  12. Reminds me also that there's several ways to get fuel points for grocery shopping at Safeway and other Kroeger stores using their loyalty cards. I'm sure this is the same coast-to-coast with other chains. There's some other fuel apps (76) that drop 10-15 cents per gallon off the pump price @ 76 stations using their 76 app. Just used some Safeway fuel points at a local Chevron station and got $.60/gallon off the pump price. Everyone has to get groceries so its a no-brainer to take advantage of these fuel reward type things. All helps.
  13. I agree with the above comments. Contact DAP and they'll steer your right. I will add that make sure you keep your 47re as part of the total equation. Not sure I've seen what's been done with your trans but I'd say stay more on the conservative side with power generation to keep it in check.
  14. Spared no expense with this rig!
  15. I'll see if there's any interest on the CF. They're lightly used. And happy to report that the DAP 7X.009 injectors I replaced them with already seem like an improvement, and not just for the power increase. Seems less smoke/haze even at idle.
  16. Pulled some lightly used 50HP DDP injectors (<10K) from my truck. These were pricey as all DDP injectors are ($900K ) and they performed well. Is there a market to sell these?
  17. That's some serious soot build up. V interested in this thread. Banks gets mixed reviews and there are haters out there but I can't deny I like his data-driven approach and testing that goes into his products. As an engineer I can appreciate this. Some of their catalog is heavy on the bling but between this product and the rear diff covers are very intriguing.
  18. $5.21 near me in Bellevue, WA with a high of $5.67. i think i need to start riding my bicycle more.
  19. I finally got them installed. Crowbar against the rear firewall worked wonders! Everything’s buttoned and tomorrow I’ll start the bleed process. Should be fun. Hope my batteries hold out!
  20. 1- 4 cylinders needed a few blows of a rubber mallet to seat them. Has to be the cold because I couldn't apply enough downward force to seat and I’m not a small guy. Why I didn’t do this a few months ago when it was 70 degrees out is beyond me!
  21. Thanks. Yeah really no other way currently that I can see to do it. Mark
  22. So feeling like a bit of an idiot for trying this project during a very cold weekend which is contributing to my install. Not my first time upgrading injectors. However, can’t get 5&6 injectors to seat. Can’t apply enough pressure to push down on them and as they near the back can’t swing a mallet either. it’s just about freezing so fighting the cold metal and moisture in the air which is making it doubly hard. Anyone have any experience or tips to seat these? Can I use the hold down rocker arms and and torque the hold down bolts to seat them? Dumb of me to try this in the cold but hey.
  23. I'm new to following this thread but man talk about motivating. I was putting some things off on my own projects (nowhere this magnitude) and even contemplating outsourcing some work but I think I've changed my mind thanks to this! Keep going man!
  24. Yeah. I have a set of 7x.09s from DAP on hand I’m going to install. Figure that will be within my limits of my trans rated at 450 HP.
