LOL, i should of said service manager. I will call him monday. If he has a print out i will stop in on wednesday and pick it up for you. It is 40 min away so i cant get there until wednesday.

I worded it wrong. You dont drill out the inside. You drill a vary small hole clear through it. By doing that you trick the waste gate.

Check engine light is a "hard code". Most of the time it is something that should be checked soon. Soft codes like 0500 or a boost code will not make the cel come on. I get 602 with 1693 and 0500 all the time with no cel.On a side note you can drill out the boost elbo to get more. When i had my hx40 i did that to get it up to 50lbs. Start small if you do,better yet have another elbo in case your not happy. Remember 45lbs is pushing the head gasket limits. My hg poped at 55lbs but i did that for a few months everyday.

injection pump. The bad news is they are 950.00 and up. Better make sure you are 100% correct the pump is bad. Thats big money.

But they can go 900k miles. The engine is a work horse. Sometimes i think it a wash with vp trucks.

All i have to say is, i had a copper oil pressure gauge line that ran from the engine into the firewall to my dash. The harmonics from the engine ran down that line and i could hear the clack of the diesel in my cab. I cut a rubber hose in 1/2 and snaped it on the line the entire length and the sound went away.As far as your problem ,maybe you moved something else in the process of your tape job.(if you cut a slice in a rubber hose it will last longer than the tape) The first thing that came to mind was cv joint or u joint or the exhaust pipe hitting the tranny crossmember. My exhaust pipe was hitting the tranny crossmember and i could feel it on my feet,then i figured u joints, only because if you feel it in your butt or feet most times it is a u joint going bad.

If you can move the lines apart cut a rubber tranny line hose and slide it between them. It will snap in place.
